I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Chad and Dani's story was different and took me on a journey. There were certain challenges in writing this book that I had never experienced before and without giving an spoilers, let's just say that it stretched me as a writer!
This is a second chance love story combined with romantic suspense. Chad, the Gentle Giant of the Saints, has been waiting for a chance to love again and this time around he's not taking anything for granted. Dani's heart had been broken, but was willing to take a chance on Chad again.
I loved bringing them to life...and hope you fall in love with them also.

Going into this book, I didn't think any of the hunky Saint men can take away Jack's #1 spot but in came Chad. The gentle giant of this group of delicious Alphas. I don't know where to begin reviewing this book, it was such beautifully and poignantly written by Ms Jordan. Having followed her writing career from her first book, I can see the vast difference and how much she has improved. The words flow, there was no hesitation, she wrote with such confidence. This is going to be one long review as I have so much to say!
I think of all the books from this series, I have to say that Sacrifice Love is her best so far. There is nothing that I don't love. I am so into Chad, the hero and I adore Dani, the heroine. Theirs is a second chance at love story, all the missed opportunities, misunderstandings, the regrets ... the If only's. Chad who thought he had all the time to confess his feelings to Dani after his 6 months deployment was dismayed upon learning that this best friend had married the woman he loved. Dani, who had feelings for Chad was shattered when he went away and made a horrible mistake which lead to the circumstances in the book. Chad had his second chance when his best friend, Dani's husband died in a bomb explosion. He was hesitant at first but with a little nudge from Faith (Bart's fiance in Seeing Love) he finally man up. There was of course hesitation from Dani's side and who could blame her. She wanted to take it slow but after losing 2yrs, in the end "going slow" is no longer in the book.
I love the easy going camaraderie between the Saint men and boy, do they make one helluva first impression with Dani. I squealed a little upon reading that part, I would have melted into a puddle of mess! When things went down south, the men had Chad's back.The suspense in this story was also well written, in my opinion. I'm so glad the sensitive subject of terrorism, ISIS is handled with care ... it was written without any hidden agenda. I was hoping to see Luke's hacker and Ms. Jordan didn't disappoint! That was one of my fav. parts of this story and I really cannot wait for Luke's story! I believed the next story is about Blaise, not quite a happy bunny here which means I have to wait longer for my hunky geek's book.
In the end, we get the sweetest epilogue. It wrapped up Chad and Dani's story perfectly.
I rate Sacrifice Love ... 5 freaking tissue boxes!! I was given an author's copy for my honest opinion. Get this book!

As I keep saying with each of Maryann's books I finish reading, this is my favorite. Love Chad's and Dani's story.
Love this second chance story and with lots of suspense, just as I like. Love the brotherhood of the Saints and how they always have each others back.
Oh I can't wait for Luke's book. It's going to be a good one.
And also hoping that Mitch will get a book also ;)

Sacrifice Love is an amazing second chance love story. It combines romance with action and suspense that will have you guessing while on the edge of your seat. There is plenty of romantic heat and a sweet and protective alpha hero to keep you swooning. It is part of The Saints Protection and Investigation series. It is a standalone, but all of the books in this series are great, so just start from the beginning and read them all!!
"I thought everything in my life was gone. Lost. My husband and friend. You. My job. My home. But more than that…my security, faith, self-confidence, happiness. When Adam died, I felt as though I lost everything. But now…here with you…where I always wanted to be…I’m found."
When Dani's husband, Adam is killed in an explosion, Chad is determined to be of help to Dani, rekindle their friendship (or more) and keep her safe while The Saints get to the bottom of Adam's connection to the terrorist cell that is believed to be responsible for the explosion. The investigation brings up more questions than answers and things are not always as they seem on the surface.

Every time I read a new installment in this series I'm quite sure that it is my favorite...until the next one arrives. Chad is a wonderful and caring Book Boyfriend! Sacrifice Love is definitely my favorite Maryann Jordan book....until the next one, maybe!

-Sigh- I didn't want to finish it they were so cute together. Chad he was super great like the perfect alpha male and Dani was a tough girl who wouldn't let anyone see her as weak. I love second chances story's and this one was great I love the characters getting back together. When I first started and I knew that all three were friends I was kinda not sure about it because I've read other books similar to the situation but the way Maryann Jordan made me love this situation and having Chad the hero step up and protect his girl and "their " baby. These two have a past, Chad has loved dani since he first saw her and dani felt the same but neither of them acted on their feelings. When Chad gets an opportunity to go back into the military he takes it but soon after he returns he find his girl (not at the time) married to his close friend. Even if unfortunate circumstances brings these two back together they soon that the connection they always had never went away. This book is filled with LOVE, love from friends who all are like family as well as filled with suspense mixed with terrorist to keep you on your toes. Luke's book might be next can't wait.

I enjoyed this story, in some ways it is my favorite of the series. It is a second chance story, our hero and heroine meet up at a funeral after not seeing each other for some time. I don't want to give too much away so i am not going to explain.
I liked that the hero is loyal, there is no cheating, in fact he doesn't have a past with women like many of the other men in the books. Their romance progresses quite quickly but this works as they knew each other before and the circumstances they were in during their time apart made believable.
He is so caring, kind and loving but he is also strong and not afraid to admit how he feels to his fellow 'macho' mates.
I found it quite long but there is alot of detail to the crime, being terrorism and possible sleeper cells, which is quite scary to think could be happening around us, so its very up to date.

Ah what can I say about Sacrifice Love besides EVERYONE needs to read it!! It's an amazing love story. A love that gets a second chance after many years of being put aside. Not to mention the action and suspense in the actual storyline. I don't like giving anything away so I won't but I will highly recommend it!

This is another really good installment of the Saints series. As you know sometimes you enjoy characters in the group more than others. The last book wasn't it for me so I had high hopes of loving our man Chad and that I did. This is Chad and Dani's story.
I will say along with the first release, this is one that I enjoyed the most. Two strong characters both making their careers in ATF and moving forward in different directions. A tragic incident brings them back together wondering what in the world Adam had to do with any of it.
We flashback to Chad prior to joining the Saints to lay the story about between he and Dani. In this flashback you are introduced to Adam, his best friend. Leaving for a 6 month deployment, Chad returns home to find Dani (the love of his life) married to his best friend. Knowing he has to get away from the situation he reaches out to Jack and finds a new path.
Dani is thrown into a whirlwind situation with her husband Adam and his secrets. Adam and she were not unhappy and things seemed normal so how could he be in the situation he is. Finding out the truth and making things right is what she intends to do.
This story is centered around ISIS and the terrorist that live on our soil. If you have triggers from this situation please do not click. I loved the way Maryann handled this sensitive subject but also brought light to the fact that "terrorist" don't have a specific look. Its time to be vigilant and be brave.
In this story we are given a few other stories. Luke for one has something to tell for sure. I am really interested in what is going to happen there with everything that was swirling around him. Blaise we have yet to learn what the cards hold for him. The other men are here along with their wives and the newest members of the Saints. I love seeing the family grow and I really love that we get a 5 months and a few years later story with the events that lead Dani and Chad to where they both are now.
These books can each be read as a standalone but if you want to know the full story behind the characters and how this group has grown you need to start with Jack and Bethany.

Oh I love me some Chad.
He finally got his own book and we learn why he's always so silent. He's got a past and it's finally caught up with him. Chad used to work in a Special Forces bomb squad, wearing 75 pound equipment and dealing with things we only see in the Hurt Locker. When he gets called back for a 6 month tour of Afghanistan, he can't say no. Even though he wants to. His two best friends, Adam and Dani, will be left behind.
Oh and did I mention he happens to be in love with Dani?
After sharing a short kiss, he doesn't think it's right to start a relationship before he leaves. Who knows if he will even come back? But he hopes she waits. So when he came back to find Adam and Dani married, he took off. It's been a year with the Saints and he's trying to move on, get over the girl he loves. When he finds out Adam has been KIA, he immediately returns to Dani's side. Before long, he's determined to find out why she didn't wait and if there is a chance for him.
Okay, I really wasn't interested in this one at first. I hated the idea that my gentle Chad was trying to work back into the life of a recent widow! However, I'll give Jordan credit because her writing sucked me in and she explained the backstory well. I'm glad I gave this book a chance.
While I adored Chad - he is so sweet and cute! - I didn't love Dani like I have the other female characters. She wasn't horrible, but she wasn't quite the kickass characters that Betheny, Miriam, Faith, and Angel all proved to be. She grew on me more by the end, but something about her character kind of annoyed me.
I also thought their rushed relationship under the circumstances () was a little weird. I liked the previous books for having legitimate timelines, differing from your average romance book. This was more like the cliche. I took off half a star for that.

Sacrifice Love is Chad's story. It's actually a second chance love story that really captures ur attention and leaves you guessing right until the end.
Danielle meets Chad and his Best Friend Adam. Chad is the Good Boy really feeling instantly a connection to Danielle. Just when he is about to confess his feelings he is called back by the ATF on an assignment.
During that time things happen and when Chad gets back home Danielle is already married. So Chad being really hurt by this leaves and doesn't return for almost two years.... when he does return he is returning for his Best Friend Adam's funeral..
During his time back he and Dani find out some really horrid things about Adam. Some untrue and some true. What's true is absolutely heartbreaking especially for Dani.
Once Chad and Dani sort out their issues you see this couple blossom. You will be so happy to watch how Chad Fights for his second chance.
This book really deals with a tough topic. I won't say much about that aspect you will have to read to find out. What I will say is, go into this book with an Open mind. To some this book may be difficult but I promise it all works itself out in the end. Also I wanna say that yes this book is very different and it deals with a sensitive Topic but the Message you walk away with should open and I really hope it's does open some minds.
Once again Maryann has given us an excellent look at the Old Characters we have come to love. Their Brotherhood and Bond is Inspiring as always.
I love Maryann's Alpha men with Amazing and Strong heroine's.

Also I wanna say that yes this book is very different and it deals with a sensitive Topic but the Message you walk away with should open and I really hope it's does open some minds.
Once again Maryann has given us an excellent look at the Old Characters we have come to love. Their Brotherhood and Bond is Inspiring as always.

The six installment of the Saints Protection & Investigation is Chad and Dani. These two had a missed opportunity and suffered for 2 years, each not knowing the love the other had for him/her. Now they have been given an opportunity to come clean and explore the love that has been there all this time. With the surprise of a pregnancy from her deceased husband, Chad embraces all that is Dani and loves her and the baby as his own and vows to protect and cherish them both. Now with the threat of terrorist in their lives, Chad must race the clock and his beating heart to save the love of his life so they can have the happily ever after they both deserve.
This story was so very touching. I love all of Maryann's books, but this one has just moved my heart. I laughed and cried. Chad is truly the "Gentle Giant!"

Maryann Jordan never ceases to amaze me with each book she writes. She has this way of getting you hooked in her stories and invested in the lives of her characters. Each story is fresh and new. Full of romance and heat, but also suspense and drama. I love each saint more and more. What a wonderful series of books. Can't wait for what's to come.

This is a great second chance love story. Chad and Dan I have a great love story. As always there is suspense, drama and hot love scenes. I wasn't ready for it end.

The best so far!
I think this book had the best intro g is and mystery of the series so far. The terrorists and the possibility of a good guy going bad.... All in all a terrific story. The guts of the ATF agents both current and retired was inspired. I really enjoyed this book. The love story aspect was epic.

I received an author copy of this book and thus I will give it a fair and honest review
Sometimes you read a book and you just say “WOW”, this is one of those books for me. Maryann has done it again and has given us a book filled with emotion.
We all have “what if” moments in our lifes and this book is all about second chances, lies and deception.
What if the man you married wasn’t what he seemed?
What if you had spoken up before someone you really loved walked away from you, before you had worked up the nerve to say, “I love you”?
What if you had just waited?
The story of Chad and Dani is so sad (seriously have a Kleenex at hand), yet you can see the love they have for one another, the misread signs, the interference of someone else that has stolen years away from this fated couple but if it hadn’t of happened the way it did then there wouldn’t be a little surprise in Dani’s life (I wont say what it is as I don’t wish to ruin the book for you).
Who knew that Chad would react the way that he did to Dani, This man is a keeper, his heart is so soft and I believe he would die for Dani if he had to.
Now throw in the treat of ISIS and Dani’s deceased husband Adam and you have a plot line that could go one of two ways (I’m so glad you went the way you did with this Maryann). ISIS is in the back of all of our minds in one way or another and the way Maryann brings them into the story is ingenious, you can feel the tension and fear in this book and even though I seriously doubt any of us would ever be in this situation you can really get the feel of the terror of which you would actually experience.
I also loved how we got a little bit of a teaser into Luke (seriously cant wait for that one)
I asked Maryann in live chat about how she researched her plot lines and characters and I have to tell you this lady does some serious groundwork before bringing us her books so Kudos to you Maryann.
I cant wait to read Lukes book but its my understanding that he wont be the next one in this series *stomps feet and scowls*

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, sadness, pain, kidnapping, and heartbreak.

Once again Maryann Jordan has bought us another stunning Saint with love,honour,compassion and sexy as hell.Chad is back in Dani's life again and nothing is going to stop him this time round from making her his.This is another heart stopping romance full of suspense and action as well as sexy alpha men willing to do what it takes to protect the ones they love. Even thought this was another fabulous work by Ms Jordan it also had complete different background and feel than the others which I loved and continue's to make me enjoy and look forward to more of her work.If your not sure whether a book about second chance love is what your looking for please give this a read it will definitely change your mind or if you haven't read any of Maryann Jordan books before then what are you waiting for get started this is her 4th series,but they all magically blend together perfectly.

In this book Dani loses her first husband who was a friend of Chad's. They met again at the funeral and the timing is still not right for them. Three months later they run into each other and this time all lines up to start them down the road of Saints true love.
As with all the books of this series, Ms. Jordan keeps the reader at the edge of their seat, in revealing the mystery, the love affair and the friendships of all the Saints. She also leaves the reader wanting more. More Saints, more romance, just more. Good thing we do not have to wait long for the next installment.

This book is definitely another winner in the Saints Protection & Investigation series. I'm usually not the biggest fan of second chance love as the leading theme, but Maryann made this work really well, mainly because Chad and Dani's story, both in the past and present, is a lot more complicated than just getting back together. And both of them handle their fate with amazing maturity.
The crime/terrorism plot is well developed, with lots of suspense and a few unexpected twists and turns, so it keeps you guessing almost until the end.
Once again I enjoyed Maryann's flawless writing and I especially appreciated that the retrospective parts, looking back on Chad and Dani's shared past, are seamlessly blending into the present story.
All in all a great read and I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series and who will be the woman to end up with Blaise and his menagerie.

As always Maryann's stories draw you in and you never want them to end. Chad and Dani's story is my favorite so far. (as they all are) "If only" words everyone says at one point in time. If Chad and Dani's "if only" actually happened they would not be the people they are now. They had to over come love, loss and a lot of "if onlys" to get their happily ever after. throw in some terrorists and trying to make a life together you have a book you can't read fast enough. i also loved the epilogue. its so nice to read into the future to see where you favorite characters end up. And i also love the whole catching up with the characters from the previous books. WELL DONE Maryann and i can not wait for the next book.

This book is filled with moments of suspense (I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next) moments of oh em gee no! That can't happen, moments of oh em gee that DID happen (happy dance).
My heart broke for Dani at parts of this book, but there were more moments that my heart was happy for her!
Chad, what to say about him. He made me swoon for him, with the things he thought, said and did regarding Dani. If only there was a way every one could have him in their life!
Adam, I don't want to give to much away on him, but I will say I am glad that his part ended the way it did, it made me happy!
Maryann did a very good job with the details of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes alpha males and security books.

Maryann Jordan is an author who I'll one click without even thinking about it. Each and every book she writes grabs your attention from the first page to the very last. And so that being said Sacrifice Love was another stunner read. Chad and Dani's story will have you flipping the pages. Their love is felt with every conversation and interaction. The story line was fantastic and had me wondering who the bad guy truly was. The love scenes are on fire as always. Everything about this was great. Love the scenes when the whole group get together. Getting all our favorite characters in one sitting is always fun. Highly recommended.

Two of the saddest words in the world are "if only". This book is a wonderful and emotional story of second chances. I love how Chad is willing to sacrifice himself for the woman that he loves more than anything else. "I would walk through fire for you. Live and breathe and die for you."
Maryann Jordan's Saints series is a fantastic series. Each Saint brings his own skill set to the group. The women are strong, funny, and know when to set their guys straight. I received an ARC copy for an honest review. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the Saints.

Jordan has absolutely outdone herself with Chad's story! I was blown away by this story and the many layers it has to offer.
Full of suspense , action and emotionally charged to boot.
Jordan never lets us down with her hero's and she didn't let us down this time either.
Chad has to be hands down my new favorite.
He is strong , loyal , smart, brave and so much more!
Dani is no wilting flower either. Beautiful, intelligent, brave and again so much more!

Can a person find that love again? Chad didn't voice his feelings before deploying and lost Dani to his best friend. Now she is a widow and in danger and Chad goes to protect along her with the Saints Agency. Timely romance with topic torn from the head lines. Good interactions between this couple who learn to communicate at last. Enjoyed getting to see the Saints and their families again. Another Saint finds his true love. Waiting for the next one to fall.
