It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that has a lasting impact on the way I think, desire, and approach my relationship with God. Main take away for the moment: every desire has its roots in the need for intimacy and adventure. We’ve been created for this, and we’ve been created to be fulfilled only by the Creator.
Loved the pauses, “Selah”’s, and questions at the end of the each chapter.
Of course there were statements and assumptions about the heart of man and the heart of God I felt were a little stretched or rubbed me slightly off, but these did not take away from the overall truth of Eldredge’s message.
Turning around and reading this one again to read more prayerfully and meditatively.
