Prof Sayeed has been conducting research on the Liberation War, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and contemporary politics for about four decades.
He was a member of the then Pakistan National Assembly in 1970 and of the 34-member committee formed in 1972 to formulate the draft constitution of Bangladesh and the former vice-president of Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union.
