Leonora Harris fled her newly-wedded husband’s home in Georgian England, 1725, and took shelter in a cave during a rainstorm. She woke up in a cold, barren land and a handsome stranger with a mechanical carriage offered her shelter. Undercover American operative Rodger Ramsey never expected to find a runaway bride in the magnificent Salar de Uyuni. Assigned to Bolivia to investigate Communist activities, he just wrapped up his two-year mission in 1963 and followed his heart to the salt flats one last time. Sparks flew and attraction sizzled. The lost, stubborn woman kicked his protective instincts into overdrive. Rodger took her home with him, determined to help her before he returned to the States, and Leonora flourished under his guidance. Their hearts intertwined. He wanted her, needed her, but could he truly love a woman who believed she jumped two hundred years in time? Will they find a way to stay together, despite the obstacles between them, or will Leonora survive in this strange new world alone?

I love time travel stories and this romance was awesome. This is the story of Leonora who runs away on her wedding night in 1725. She follows a light and then ends up causing her to travel forward in time to 1963. An undercover CIA agent in Boliva named Rodger finds her and takes her in first thinking she is crazy and just needs help. As he uses his tactics to catch her in a lie he realizes she isn't lying. But her story that she traveled through time is not possible as far as he knows. As they try to hold back their instant romantic feelings they feel they find their connection might be meant to be. But they have to deal with Rodger's job, giving Leonora an identity and trying to be together when they are from different worlds. This was a cool story. It is a fast read. I found myself totally engrossed in the story and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

I WAS GIVEN AN ARC TO REVIEW BY THE AUTHOR FOR MY HONEST OPINION. TIMELESS BEGINNINGS IS A TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE BY AMBER DAULTON WHICH I REALLY ENJOYED. I LOVE PARANORMAL, TIME TRAVEL AND ROMANCE. AMBER DID A WONDERFUL JOB DESCRIBING LEONORA HARRIS' WARDROBE AND HER LIFE IN 1725. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE BEING FORCED TO MARRY SOMEONE WHO YOU DIDN'T LOVE. WHEN LEONORA RUNS AWAY FROM HER HUSBAND, SHE TAKES SHELTER IN A CAVE. WHEN SHE WAKES UP SHE FINDS HERSELF IN THE FUTURE. LEONORA MEETS RODGER WHO DOUBTS HER STORY BUT TAKES HER UNDER HIS WING. RODGER OFFERS HIS PROTECTION AND HELP TO HELP HER FIND HER WAY HOME.
WHAT RODGER AND LEONORA DON'T COUNT ON IS THE SPARKS AND INSTANT ATTRACTION BETWEEN THEM. WILL LEONORA FIND HER WAY HOME? WILL SHE SURVIVE IN THE FUTURE? WILL THE SPARKS AND ATTRACTION LEAD TO MORE?
I LOVE RODGER AND LEONORA AS A COUPLE. THEY WERE SO PERFECT TOGETHER AND THE CHEMISTRY JUST SIZZLE BETWEEN THEM. LEONORA WAS PRETTY AMAZING. SHE WAS ABLE TO ADJUST TO LIFE IN THE FUTURE PRETTY QUICKLY AND IT WAS LIKING SEEING EVERYTHING NEW FROM HER EYES. EVERYTHING WE TAKE FOR GRANTED.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE, I RECOMMEND YOU READ TIMELESS BEGINNINGS. I REALLY ENJOYED IT AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE BOOKS BY AMBER DAULTON.
I was given an ARC to review by the author for my honest opinion, as follows: I don't read many paranormal stories, but I thoroughly enjoyed this time travel romance by Amber Daulton. With her wonderful descriptions, I could imagine what it would be like to be newly married Leonora Harris, plucked from her life in 1725 England and thrust into 1963 Bolivia. Fortunately for her, kind Rodger Ramsey was the one to find her. And in trying to run away from her nasty husband, has she really run right from the frying pan into the fire? These are tumultuous times in Bolivia and mild-mannered engineer Rodger Ramsey is not the person he appears to be. Can Leonora adjust to a world nearly 150 years in the future? Will she ever return to her home and time period? You'll want to read this well-written romance to find out.
Rodger Ramsey is a engineer and an ex CIA operative. It's 1963. He's at the end of his second term and will leave Bolivia soon to return to the states. Something in his gut draws him back to the salt flats. As he herds his jeep across Salar de Uyuni he spots a mysterious woman dressed in a dirty gown that looks as though she has stepped out of the past. When he tries to offer aid, she runs but he catches her. He's confused by her ramblings. She thinks she's still in 1725, England.
If you enjoy well written time travel romance this one's for you!
What a different and delightful book! I really enjoy time-travel romance, but because of the very popular Outlander series, most time-travel romance seems to be Scottish. I quite enjoy that sub-subgenre, but what a delight to find just such a very different time-travel story. This is actually historical in two different ways. The heroine came forward from 1725 when she was drawn into a blue vortex in a cave when she was fleeing on her wedding night. She ends up in 1963 Bolivia on a salt flat. The author did an excellent job in the very beginning contrasting the hero and the heroine. The heroine’s section was first, and it sounded like any good historical romance. She even called herself a ninnyhammer. Then, the story switched to the hero in 1963, and he is a CIA spy who is undercover at an oil company while trying to figure out what's going on with the political situation in Bolivia. The change to his part of the story actually sounded a bit like a thriller, much more hard edged than the heroines perspective. I thought that she started to acclimate a little too quickly to the 1960s given the significant time difference. But this book was still just an absolute delight. The two had an instant attraction to each other, but he wanted to hold back and protect her. Just lovely from beginning to end.
Stuck. She fled. She thought she was doing the right thing. Running. She had to get to her father. Her family would save her, she had to make them understand and save her from the loveless marriage she was being forced into. He was on assignment, a secret one. Wrapping up his assignment he was almost ready to go home when he saw her. I don't read many time travel books but I love this author so I was all in but for me I was left wanting more. I have to say I know it was me because this author does write amazing stories with characters that burrow into your heart and stay there. I do like that she was a strong woman who didn't breakdown, pissing and whining the woe is me pity card. I even liked the fact that it didn't become all about sex, but for some reason I just couldn't. Once again I know it's me, so try it and see for yourself.
This was my first time reading a book by Amber Daulton and it was awesome. She has awesome story and character building making you feel as if your a part of her story. Time travel and romance are among my favorites in reading and she did not disappoint. The story starts in 1725 England where Leonora is fleeing her home and get's caught in a blue vortex where she ends up in 1963 Bolivia. Roger a undercover agent finds her, I won't give away any plot other than to say this is a must read book. Roger and Leonora work well together and are a great couple. There's drama, mystery and romance you won't be disappointed I really loved this book. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series!

This engaging time travel romance draws you in from the first page and keeps your attention throughout the entire book. The characters are well developed and have a strong attraction to each other. The time travel from 1725 to 1963 is interesting and highlights the many cultural and historical differences in time and place. Time travel, drama, mystery, and romance combine to make this book a must-read. I am looking forward to more Timeless books by this author.

Lenora passed through time to the future while she was running from her new husband after her wedding. Rodger was a cia agent on assignment and found her in a whole new continent. Almost three hundred years had passed. They had an immediate attraction. They had a harried journey to attain their HEA. Interesting read

Another great short story in the Mirrors Of Time series. Leonora Harris fled from her new husband in Georgian England, 1725 and ended up in Salar de Uyuni in 1963, Undercover American operative Rodger Ramsey finds her. They will have things to get through before they get their happy ending. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this short, sweet time travel adventure. It was almost like a bogo too since she ended up in the 60’s instead of modern times. It was well written, steamy, and had wonderful characters as well.

YOU TIME TRAVELED AND MADE THE AYMARA LEGEND A REALITY
The story started in 1725, Hawksatter, England, with newlywed Leonora Harris fleeing her home into the woods and taking shelter in a cave during a thunderstorm. Seeing a blue light she follows it and falls into a hole and finds herself in Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia in the year 1963.
Undercover American operative Rodger Ramsey goes to Salar de Uyuni before returning home to the states after two years posing as an Engineer for Gulf oil while working for the CIA. What a shock to see a beautiful young woman in period clothing in the middle of nowhere. Rodger will take Leonora back with him to his home in Bolivia but how can he believe her story of being from England. All the questioning, never can he catch her in a lie, but time travel of 238 years doesn’t seem real either. Is she a spy and caught on to who he is and who he works for?
The story is a sweet and mysterious love tale of two people, meeting in an unlikely place, and from different centuries. Leonora has had two expensive season in London, but she wants a love match like her grandparents. “For a happy marriage, my sweet Leonora, you must seek honesty and respect on both sides.” The concept of time travel places both Rodger and Leonora questioning each other and what century they are claiming. “How can time travel exist and scientists not know about it? A discovery of that magnitude would reap a fortune.” Did it take traveling over two hundred years in the future for Leonora and Rodger to find true love? “Fate granted her a second chance in this new place and time, but she wanted to console her family and let them know what happened to her.”
There is an Aymaran legend about people disappearing forever or unexpectedly arriving in the Bolivian salt flats. Furthermore, that legend states, soon after they will meet their soul mate and fall in love.
Rodger Ramsey is an under cover secret agent, dedicated to his task, although open minded enough to feel for the people he is charged with watching. Leonora Harris is a typical woman of her time, destined to obey her father and do her duty to family, regardless of the cost. When she runs for her life, "Hurry, I must hurry," gets lost, and is carried away into the future by a rolling vortex, can she be strong enough to accept her new fate?
This is a sweet, fairly clean, romantic, time travel adventure. The writing is very good, and we learn enough about the characters to want the best for them. Like Rodger's apartment, it is clean and to the point, with not a lot of unnecessary clutter. Yet, author Amber Daulton keeps us in an agitated state, worried about the characters secrets and safety. Discovering a wandering Leonora is a distraction and responsibility Rodger never could have dreamed of. Jumping over two hundred years into the future and landing in a country she had never even heard of definitely threw Leonora for a loop. How do you convince someone you're not crazy? Who can you rely on? A serious dilemma for both. Even the author's descriptions of the seedier side of life in Bolivia kept me on edge.
If you enjoy time travel or historical romance, or even a good spy novel, you will like this read.
An unusual and captivating romance about a runaway bride in the early 1700s who falls into a vortex and arrives in the salt flats of Bolivia in 1963. A CIA agent posing as an engineer picks her up, protects her, and teaches her the ways of the modern world. Beautifully written with gorgeous descriptions of English manors and South American culture. Fans of time travel romance will love this story.
