From Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series comes a scorchingly hot novel that blends humor, passion, and romance.

What happens when these two worlds collide?

Ace Locke is Hollywood’s hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn’t interested in those—he’s more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day.

Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there’s something in the model’s expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?

Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he’s cast in Ace’s latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.

Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks, and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible—Ace Locke.

★★★★ ½! Aced, book 1 of 2. Hollywood heartthrob & billboard wet dream fights paparazzi & their growing sexual needs on the movie set!

“It suddenly feels like it’s five thousand degrees in here.”

Books in PresLocke series should be read in order:
Book 1: Aced
Book 2: Locked
Book 3: Wedlocked

Aced (book 1) opens up to the daily routine of movie superstar Ace Locke ogling a billboard with a hot underwear model he would very much like to undress.

Underwear model and debut actor Dylan Prescott has always had a thing for Ace, but their first encounter leaves much to be desired and working on the same movie is not ideal for a bromance.

Ace has recently gone public about his (homo)sexuality and has since been hounded by the paparazzi to get the scoop on his sex life. In addition to wanting to his privacy, he is still figuring his sexual preferences and needs with a man.

Dylan is open and carefree in his sexuality. But he does have secrets and a painful past that he rather not introduce into his flirtation with the Hollywood heartthrob.

Played out in front of the relentless paparazzi and the world the story goes on to follow them in a flirtatious friendship fueled by steaming hot sexual tension and held back by secrets, confusion, logistics, cock-blocking, hesitation and privacy concerns…

Eight words to describe Ace Locke: Arrogant, reserved, conflicted, cocky, bossy, jaded, insecure and possessive.

Seven words to describe Dylan Prescott: Frank, self-assured, cocky, reflective, care-free, naïve, flirtatious and determined.

Aced, told from dual POVs, is a slow brewing flirtation and hold-cold seduction. A mixture of forbidden romance and facing secrets/coming out. It ends with a shocker leading right to book 2, Locked for the continuation of their story!

Off-the-charts sexual tension! Explosive sex! Dirty secrets, damaging lies, reckless behavior and everything else that makes for scandalous tabloid headlines!

***
Ace’s rating: 4 stars
Dylan’s rating: 4.5 stars
Sexual tension rating: 5 stars
Sex scenes rating: 4.5 stars
Sex scenes frequency: 4.5 stars
Plot rating: 4 stars
Dialogue rating: 4 stars
Storytelling rating: 4.5 stars
Story ending rating: N/A

Well,I really thought I'd love this one.I adored Dylan in Devil's Kiss and couldn't wait to get his story but this really wasn't doing it for me.

Ace is a hot film star and has been lusting after a hot model...Dylan.

Dylan is a hot model and has been lusting after a hot film star...Ace.

They meet on a flim set and it's intsa lust/love.Don't get me wrong I'm not against this if it's done well but this definitely didn't work for me.

I found the whole thing boring and they were just so childish at times...the banter between them didn't work for me and if I read anymore Hard references I was going to scream

The thing that really put me off was the whole gay thing with Ace.
So,he's completely come out as being Gay but is terrified of being seen/photographed with a man??

The sex scenes did nothing for me and felt staged and I skimmed most of them.

I enjoyed searching for hot images of them but that was the most enjoyable part for me.

Yes,I'm definitely in the minority here,but,I didn't enjoy what I read ...

Dylan Prescott is new to the world of Hollywood and acting. Ace Locke is a pro at the Hollywood scene, and one of the most well known action hero's. Their lives collide on the set of Ace's new movie, and they both want the other. But Ace needs to keep his life private, while Dylan has no problem showing who he is. Opposites attract, but can that attraction survive Hollywood?

I love the creativity of bringing two series from two different authors together. There was nothing that made it necessary for you to read either the Sunset Cover series or the L.A Liaisons series, but if you have you'll get that giddy little feeling of hearing about past characters a few times. Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank writing one story together came out flawlessly and I honestly couldn't tell where one author ended and the other began.

Like the authors, their characters came together in a very strong way. Once you saw Ace and Dylan together there was no denying the chemistry they had and I just wanted more. I became a greedy reader begging for more and more scene with them fighting and then ripping each others clothes off. M/m has it's own type of hotness, that's just a giving, but with this book the authors took that normal "oh wow, that book was sexy" and turned it into "holy shit my panties are ruined." I really wasn't expecting the kinky turn these characters took, but I'm definitely not complaining.

It was interesting to see how Dylan and Ace had a lot of similarities, yet were so different in their way of life. Dylan was a very open person that went after what he wanted, while Ace was still a little shy about taking what he wanted. Their relationship was slow to start, but it worked with the story because that way we got to see Ace working his way up to accepting that he needed to take a chance for Dylan.

When they worked up to finally letting that chemistry guide them, it exploded right off of the pages. They went from zero to sixty, one moment having those cute flirty moments, and then next...well let's just say I'm sure some knee's got rug burn. They were perfect together, all sexy and unique in a out of control way. Definitely something that makes you stop and take notice.

Bottom line, this book is one that must be read by all...but maybe don't read it in public. Unless you're into that sort of thing ☺ At first I was angry at the way it ended and wanted to rant and rave about it. But now I'm actually kind of excited that there will be a whole new book with Ace and Dylan. So bring it on!

I'm kinda ashamed, you guys. I broke up with Ella Frank, because it's not YOU, it's ME. But now we're back together.

See, when Amazon recommended this book to me, I was so excited it wasn't recommending Pokemon (I have a 7-year-old boy!), I caved.

And then I got sucked into the story. Because sex!

Dylan and Ace are not deep characters, but they sure are hot together.

I shelved this book under Angst Central, but it's more drama than angst. I really did not understand why uber famous superstar Ace, newly out of the closet, couldn't be seen with a man?

In typical Frank fashion, the first-person POV jumps frantically between both MCs, and the voices don't sound distinct enough. Likewise, the men talk TO you, breaking the fourth wall. I'm not a fan of that.

You know what else I'm not a fan of? Cliffhangers. And Ms. Frank is a multiple-time offender.

It's kind of like ending a review with -

Aced is book one in the PresLocke series by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. First, I want to say that I adore both of these authors, and even more so when they write together. I’ve been wanting to start this series forever, and I FINALLY jumped in. It did NOT disappoint! I am so in love with these two characters already.

Have you ever fallen in love with the image of someone? In this case, each of these characters fell for the other before they even met, but in two different ways. First, we’ll start with Ace Locke, America’s hottest movie star. He is thirty three years old. He is just getting ready to start a sequel to one of his most successful films. Ace came out a year ago but has not pursued anyone in that time. Even though the public knows he’s gay, he’s still afraid the impact it would have on his career if he starts openly dating. Let alone the impact it would have on the date! But, Ace can’t help but to stop every morning on the way to the studio and gaze at the billboard of the most beautiful male model he has ever seen. He seems to be looking right into his soul. And he has been the recipient of many a nighttime fantasy. What a surprise it is when Ace shows up for the first day of rehearsals for the new film to see who is sitting right across from him!

Dylan Prescott is an up and coming male model, the recent underwear billboards his biggest job so far! Dylan has been mostly in love with the on screen version of Ace Locke since his first movie. He’s seen every single one multiple times. When he got hired for a small part in Ace’s next big blockbuster, he can’t believe his luck. Only their first meeting didn’t go quite as smoothly as he might have hoped.

Ace is convinced he has to keep his distance from Dylan, no matter how strong the attraction is, to protect his image. And Dylan, with Ace’s attempts to keep his distance, is convinced that he is not the man he imagined he would be. But these two can’t fight it for long. The pull is just too strong. And when they finally come together, let’s just say, it was glorious!!!

Watching these two become a couple was wonderful. Dylan is willing to live by any rules Ace needs, just to be with him. Ace is introducing him to a life he never imagined. The feelings between them are growing fast and strong. But how long can they keep this a secret from the public? Will they be able to withstand the impact once it gets out?

This book does end in a cliffy. The series is a trilogy. But they are all out and ready to read so no waiting. The next book is called, Locked. And I can’t wait to see what is next for Ace and Dylan whom I already love so much.

Prettier Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

When I read that the author of my most favorite MM series ever was working on a super-seekrit project with Brooke Blaine I was intrigued. I saw the cover and was sold on it. Yeah, I'm a cover-ho, sue me. Brooke Blaine's series L.A. Liaisons and Ella Frank's Sunset Cove are crossing over in this story so I was super curious about the result. What follows now is an attempt to put my fangirling feelings into words while giving you a spoiler-free review.

Ace Locke is Hollywood's hottest actor. He goes out of his way to drive by a CK billboard ad with a gorgeous model on it. The model is male and in boxer briefs wearing a kickass leather jacket. His breathtakingly good looks make the traffic stop and get Ace's imagination going.
Ace has been out of the closet for a year but shies away from having a meaningful relationship because of the danger the publicity would pose to his career and a potential relationship.

Dylan Prescott is new in Hollywood. He has pocketed his first movie gig after the big campaign he modeled for which brings him into the orbit of the person he has wet dreams about - Ace Locke.
Dylan has no filter whatsoever, is confident, witty, cheeky and easy to talk to. He is the least judgemental person on the planet and along with his beauty he has the "what you see is what you get" personality people seem to flock around. He also goes after what he wants without hesitation and he wants Ace. Their attraction in real life is instant yet Ace is reluctant to give into his growing feelings for this beautiful man.

Ace on the other hand is not as open as Dylan, his vulnerability is what defines his personality and he doesn't let just anyone in. He doesn't give his trust easily but Dylan sneaks past his walls and soon Ace finds himself addicted to the drug that is Dylan. There are surprising little details about these two characters I don't want to give away because finding them out was adorable and while I had already been on their team before those details were what sealed the deal. Ace's and Dylan's banter is hilarious, their personalities, while pretty diverse still cover some major traits.

"You said when we get home tonight. Whose home did you mean?"
I caught his eyes with mine and then said with the utmost sincerity,
"Anywhere you are."

These two dance around each other for a while and watching them fall for each other is like unwrapping your favorite candy. Peeling back the wrapper one layer at a time, knowing what it will taste like yet savoring the anticipation of having it on your tongue. And the moment these two let their bodies speak for them is like a sensual explosion. Their chemistry is off the charts. Fair warning: have a second pair of panties ready. There is something insanely HOT about these two guys hitting it off, getting their MM-mojo on and bro-talking their way into bed.

If falling in love was the single scariest act a person could make, then I was ready to take that leap.

This author duo does an amazing job of co-writing, they are in tune and I could only guess what was written by Brooke Blaine and what by Ella Frank. They blend their styles together to one and make this story a fluid reading experience. I got a kick out of seeing characters from Ella Frank's other books pop in and I will definitely read Brooke Blaine's L.A. Liaisons soon!

Maybe I’m not the best judge…

Confession time AGAIN!! I signed up for the ARC of Aced before I even found out what it was about. Yep, I saw that cover and went…ooh baby…come to Mama (OMG, I’m so embarrassed that I just admitted that). Now, the problem with this whirlwind cover love is that I’m not really an M/M reader. I have a lot of friends who love them and when I do read them I enjoy the experience but I can’t connect. In most of my normal reads to some extent, I’m picturing myself in the story which I obviously can’t do in M/M. So, then I have to put on my peeping tom hat, pull out my magnifying glass for closer inspections and observe the scene like I’m at a Justin Bieber concert. I find myself smirking at times because I’m hanging with the cool kids completely out of my comfort zone. My eyes are wide open and shocked that people get off on this while tapping my foot every once in a while because I can’t help but be pulled into the buzz. BUT…In the end, though, if someone asked me straight out if I liked the concert I’d probably deny I'd even been there. I’m sorry M/M authors, M/M fans and Justin Bieber fans, I’m probably going to stay in the closet a wee bit longer.

Well, now that I’ve got that off my chest I can tell you that I enjoyed Aced. I really enjoyed seeing Ace and Dylan connect and had a few chuckles watching them realise they were each the other's biggest fans. Dylan had been watching Ace’s movies for years and Ace had been going out of his ways to admire the pin up picture of Dylan in his C K undies. Their first meeting was probably not the best, but it doesn’t take them long to realise there is really strong chemistry between them. It does make things a little awkward that they’re actually working together on Ace’s latest movie. They have to try and be as professional as possible and not make googly eyes at each other.

The relationship between Ace and Dylan is very sweet. Dylan is confident in his sexuality and has loving parents who don’t make him feel bad because of it. To be honest, I think Dylan’s parent Sunshine and Ziggy nearly stole the show. They were both an absolute CRACK UP!! Now, poor Ace is very much the opposite of confident in his sexuality. He has only “come out” in the last 12 months and hasn’t really settled into his new skin. Dylan is very understanding and doesn’t mind being Ace’s dirty little secret. Ace hates the secrecy but knows the hullabaloo it will cause when the press finds out. They decide it would be best for both of them to keep things on the down low.

Aced was a fast paced look into the lives of the rich and famous. Ace is coming to realise that the perks he gets with the job are something he just takes for granted. Being with Dylan has reminded him to stop and enjoy them again. The sexy times between this couple are steamy and intense. There’s definitely a wee bit of kinky going on but it’s not OTT or icky.

Aced finishes off with a bang and it looks like Ace has to make a major decision really quickly. Can they survive together or will they be better off apart? Tune in for another adventure in PresLocke…The Daydreamer and the Action Hero.

Huh. I wasn't really expecting that.

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, in my opinion it still had all the great basics one expects from an Ella Frank novel (even though it's cowritten with Brooke Blaine, which I'm not saying is a bad thing). On the other hand, the feel was just a tad off.

So… how likely is it that the top person starring in your fantasies becomes a reality? Pretty damn near impossible, but not if you're Dylan and Ace who happen to be working on the same movie. Each has been lusting after the other from afar, and wouldn't you know, the live version is even better than their own imaginations. And what do you think happens when these two cocky bastards hook up? Only good things right?? Right.

Points to stellar writing, great UST, and definitely to 2 hot MC's getting it on, well…hotly. Extra bonus points towards the ever appreciated minimal angst that touches on privacy issues regarding Ace's hollywood stardom. However, there's always a but right?? Despite having certain expectations and ideas about how this was going to turn out and didn't, this was still enjoyable, still smexy, and in no way will it dissuade me from reading more.

I’m not usually one for audiobooks, I’ve listened to a grand total of one in my 41 years, but we have new neighbours in our open-plan office as some bright spark thought it a champion idea to plonk a bunch of noisy call centre operatives right in the middle of a floor full of engineers. Now I’ve nothing against call centre operatives having once been one, but there’s only so many times you can listen to someone ask shout questions over the toilet habits of their callers before you run the risk of unleashing your very own dose of verbal diarrhoea.

description I wanted Dylan Prescott in my life—and I was going to use everything in my arsenal to make that happen.

I can’t say there was a huge amount of depth to Ace and Dylan’s story for the large part—although I am hopeful that’ll come in the next couple of books—but with plenty of hot and steamy moments and innuendo, Aced did enough to leave me wanting more from these two men and their blossoming romance. Plus it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so there’s also that.

description I wanted this man with every single fiber of my being.”

So on that note I’m off to download Locked ready for Monday morning, and thumbs up to the authors for saving my sanity because in went the earphones and life was once again shit-free. And to Astrid for telling me to give these authors a crack in general and audio.

Just finished my reread of this book and once again I would give it four stars. This is such a guilty pleasure read and I really love and adore Dylan and Ace so much, their chemistry is so on point. I also really love Dylan’s family, I forgot how cute they are. I love the fact that they are actors working on a film and the sexual tension is so real. The only thing I disliked this time around is how there’s no notice when there’s a POV change, sometimes it changes POV mid-chapter and it doesn’t let you know and both of their voices kind of sound the same so it made it difficult to know sometimes whose POV you’re reading from. Other than that, this book is hella cute and really enjoyable.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This is the first book I've ever read from either of these authors, and I picked this book up randomly last night, wanting to read a new M/M romance, and it was such a lovely surprise! I loved this book and I adored these characters so much. Ace Locke is an action movie star and he just came out of the closet publicly, but he has yet to be seen with a male in public. Dylan Prescott is a male model who decided to try acting and he gets cast in Ace Locke's new movie.

I have such a soft spot for Dylan, I absolutely fucking adored him. He's so witty and flirty and comfortable with who he is and he has no filter. Dylan and Ace together are so steamy and sexy together - I loved the tension between them throughout most of the book. The writing in this book is also hilarious, I loved their quick comebacks with each other and their sarcasm. They are both so funny and adorable, and I loved seeing them get to know each other.

Ace is afraid to been seen in public with Dylan because he's not ready to have a public boyfriend so for most of the book, they are sneaking around. I have a thing for forbidden romance, so I was definitely on board for this. I loved the tension with the love triangle in the beginning with Russ, one of the other actors on set, and seeing Ace get jealous was cute. I love Dylan's family of hippies and the nickname they have for him, it's so adorable.

I was upset that this ended on a cliff hanger, but I can't wait to read the next book. I just need more. I am obsessed with these two. Their chemistry is insane and their passion for each other is beautiful. This is my second time reading a M/M romance and once again I loved it.

I really enjoyed Dylan and Ace's (first) story. I was already intrigued by both characters from their introductions in Ella Frank's Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine's L.A. Liaisons series, respectively. Although, originally I thought this story was directly a part of both series, it is now obvious that it is a spin-off all of its own... which I kind of love because it definitely had a different vibe going for it, compared to the angst ridden stories Ella has expertly crafted within the Sunset Cove series and the feel-good chick-lit romps Brooke has created with the L.A. Liaisons series. This was somewhere in-between and I have no complaints about that.

I honestly enjoyed everything about this story, from the writing quality, to the characters themselves and their crazy hot chemistry.

I'm most definitely looking forward to book #2.

Re-read: October, 2017 (Audio Edition)

I was having a horribly sleepless night when I decided what I needed to calm my mind, and hopefully send me into peaceful rest, was a new audio of a book I'd already read (and hence knew would be a winner). Seeing Charlie David's name attached to this was enough of a motivator to green-light my one-clicking prowess. I've yet to have any kind of negative experience with his narrations and this time was no different. If anything, this second read, and first listen, actually made this story even more enjoyable than I initially recalled, so hats off to Charlie for somehow enhancing the story even further. I'll no doubt revisit this narration whenever I'm in need of some fluffy and romantic audio-goodness to get me through my week.

Maybe it was the particular reading mood I was in this week, or maybe it was the comfort I already felt in knowing what fabulously romantic things lay in store for this smokin' hot pair, but whatever it was, I can confidently say, I enjoyed Ace and Dylan's introductory story even more this time around. As such, I'm bumping my initial rating up a notch.

Ace Locke is a 33 yr. old movie star who is arrogant, confident, & sexy-as-sin! As one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood he lives his life under a microscope. After he comes out of the closet the paparazzi really up their game harassing him & trying to get the first public shot of him with a man. He valued his privacy & the press were just waiting to pounce, so he didn't feel he had the freedom to pursue someone he might find himself interested in & wasn't really putting himself out there.

One thing that he did indulge in though was his daily ride past the giant billboard of a hot as hell model giving a come hither look. He drove past it every day & this guy in his calvins totally did it for him.

Dylan Prescott is a model who moved to L.A. about three months ago from Florida. When his agent calls to tell him he booked him an acting job with Warner Bros studios, Dylan is stunned. He soon learns he will be in the new blockbuster with his idol Ace Locke aka the man of his dreams. He's had a crush on Ace for as long as he can remember.

Ace Locke arrives at work one day to find his new cast member is none other than the man he is currently lusting over on his daily drive to work. The best part of his morning & his ultimate fantasy is suddenly right in front of him & he's even more beautiful in person. Dylan Prescott had definitely caught his attention & fully had his interest. He wanted Dylan bad, but knew he had to be smart about this.

-I had never been so attracted to someone in all my life, yet the thought of acting on that was utterly terrifying.

-Dylan was even more attractive in person. He was...breathtaking.

-I wanted this, wanted him, and only the devil himself could drag me away.

Ace tries to use self control & be professional with Dylan, but Dylan is a man comfortable with himself & his sexuality. He was at ease with himself in a way Ace wasn't. He was a shameless flirt, self assured, & extremely forward with Ace. He was a man who went after what he wanted, & he made it very clear he wanted Ace. Ace finally reaches his breaking point in trying to resist Dylan & gives in to their connection. He finally decides he deserves happiness & wants to try something real with Dylan. Things just feel right when they're together & Dylan is everything he's ever wanted, but in Ace's public life drama seems to follow him.

This book ends on a bit of a cliffy, so I'm really looking forward to the next book Locked. Aced combined characters from both Ella Frank's Sunset Cove series & Brooke Blaine's L.A. Liaisons series. These two men I was already familiar with collide in L.A. & things get pretty steamy. I really enjoyed this story & can't wait for the next book!

-There wasn't one damn thing about him I didn't find appealing.

5 BIG stars for an AMAZING and VERY HOT STORY

I really loved this book!!! Minus the cliffhanger.

The characters were awesome! Ace Locke is a famous Hollywood actor while Dylan is a super HOT model. Each man dreams about the other. Ace has fantasies with the hot model in Calvin Klein boxers and Dylan has fantasies with the beautiful movie star.

They meet when and where they least expect and the attraction is HUGE!!! What made me crazy and kept me glued to the pages was the slow burning. Ace seemed very sure of himself but he kept his distance. Dylan was at first surprised by Ace's attitude, but he was not afraid to speak his mind and seduce Ace!

I read this wonderful book while travelling to Austria. I was very tired but I just couldn't put it down. It took me some time to finish it because I had a lot of thing to do, but I really felt connected to the characters and the story and my thoughts were with Ace and Dylan. A lot!

SEX is SMOKING HOT! A lot of dirty talk, smart comments and cute surprises. And a few HOT fantasies! I must admit I fell in love with Ace and Dylan! This couple is awesome!!!

Even if I couldn't undestand Ace's choices regarding Dylan, well I really liked this story.

It was a very pleasant read, with not too much angst. I can't wait to read the next book. I wanted to scream when I finished reading this book because I really, really wanted to know what Ace is going to choose. So it killes me that I have to wait! But I am sure it is worth the waiting.

4.25 STARS

This was one hot steamy read. I’d fallen for Dylan Prescott in Devil's Kiss and wanted his story. Thank you, Ella Frank!! I love that this story is the combination of two characters from different series. Brilliant! In addition to becoming a fast fan of Ella Frank's, I also got to read Brooke Blaine for the first time.

I simply adored Dylan. His flirty, easy going ways are addictive and his open heart and loose tongue are adorable. He’s not only easy on the eyes but also on the heart. This guy is all around special and H-O-T!!

And put him with Ace and forget it, panties…buh-bye!

Ace Locke is a big time action-hero actor who has recently come out of the closet. He wants Dylan…I know the feeling. He struggles with the constraints of being a big star, forever under scrutiny and now with his recent news, the paps are circling like sharks, just waiting for that first glimpse of him with a guy. These two embark on a secret relationship that is tested and also seriously combustible. These two together are beyond hot and steamy.

I’m still a M/M newbie with only single digit reads, but it’s couples like Ace and Dylan that make me want to read more!

I must say that this ends on a cliffy. I didn’t know this was a series but I was beginning to think so as I neared the end and I still had many questions. I'm glad you got more and I'm looking forward to more of this hot, sexy duo!!

Aced Teaser

Review:

Aced by authors Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine is going to rock your world. This is a fan-f*cking-tastic story and If you don't end up loving Dylan Prescott and Ace Locke, then you might be crazy. No seriously. These two guys are so much fun and so H.O.T. Your panties are going to melt off, so bring an extra pair and grab this book!

Ace Locke, he is a Hollywood superstar, if you read Brooke Blaine's L.A. Liaisons Series then I am told you meet Ace there. I have not read that series but I have heard good things about it, not reading the series didn't cause any issues for me with understanding this book. Ace is getting ready to start a new film when this book starts. He has no idea the man on a billboard ad for Calvin Klein boxers with abs to die for and the perfect f*ck me hair, the man he has been drooling over and dreaming about is also going to be in this film.

Dylan Prescott is out in L.A. From Sunset a Cove Florida working on a modeling campaign when his agent gets him a part in a film. When Dylan finds out that this film is the latest by his wet dream of a favorite actor, Ace Locke, he is flying high. Until he meets him, then his perception of his idol is slightly altered. Even though he thinks Ace is a bit of a dick at first he can't deny that, dick or not he still wants him. Yeah, he probably wants him more because of his cocky attitude and body that won't stop - but can he deal with the life of Hollywood and all that goes with it? One of my favorite quotes from Ace to Dylan that showcases his cockiness - “Be careful about making promises, Dylan. I just might take you up on them.” - Dylan takes as a challenge and accepts it wholeheartedly!

The chemistry in this book - it is scorchin' hot! Dylan and Ace seriously will blow your mind. Dirty Talk? Check. Teasing? Check. Foreplay? Check. Sex in unique places? Double Check! These two are not afraid to pleasure each other, they get down and dirty and offer no apologies for their raw, almost animalistic at times, sex life. *Sigh* If only all of us had a relationship like them!

"God, I wanted him. On top of me, inside me, his body covering every inch of mine."..."I’d never wanted anyone the way I wanted Dylan in that moment. It was as though every single part of me was drawn to him. And I was done denying that.".."I knew in the seconds that followed that everything in my life was about to change."

I really enjoyed this story. I loved seeing some cameo appearances from Ella Frank's characters that we all know and love - and I have to give props to these two authors they really went all out in this story. Trust me, you don't want to miss it! I think once you get to know these two guys, you will fall in love with their personalities and their passion. So grab a copy of this 5+ Star book and hang on as these two go zero to 100 in more than one way!

First thing first, this isn't a standalone. Yeah, you heard it right. There is a cliffhanger. Most of the time, I will be moaning and whining my ass off. But this time, I'm actually thrilled. Absolutely excited. I will tell you why by the end of my review.

description

Ace Locke is an action hero. Although he is out of the closet, no one actually seen him with a man before. The most action he got recently is masturbating to his fantasy man, the male model by the highway billboard.

Dylan Prescott is a male model who is working on his first movie with non other than the man of his dream, Ace. He is more than excited, but he is worried of making a fool of himself.

What are the chances that they are both each other fantasy came true?

It goes without saying Ella Frank's m/m work always have the hottest scene ever. So is no surprised that I love the foreplay and the actual deed between these two hot men. But this book actually offer so much more beside the smut.

Ace actually caught me by surprised by his insecurity and vulnerability. I would have thought being the hottest celebrity in town, he will be cocky and a total manwhore. Ace is actually a total opposite of that because he is so afraid of going after the man he is attracted to because according to him, no one wants to watch a gay action hero. I can totally sympathize with his predicament.

Dylan is a happy go lucky and down to earth guy who loves Ace, despite having to hide himself from the public. His background was a bit more ambiguous. He had a pair of crazy hippie parents that adored him, but the more he tried to avoid talking about his biological mother, the more I'm curious.

Ace and Dylan constantly tried to avoid being seen together, their stolen moments make each and every encounter much more meaningful. But how long can their honeymoon phase last before someone is there to burst their bubble?

description

By the time I reach the last quarter of the book, I'm starting to get worried I might not be satisfied with this book because there is so much that was left unexplored. I want to meet Dylan's parent, I want to know what the deal with his secret past and the most important part that I really need to read is Ace admitting his relationship to the public. So yeah, this book is simply too short to cramp everything in one book. There is so much more to Ace and Dylan's story and I can wait for the next book.

Ho-ly hell! Put authors Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine together, and you get one lethally talented writing team. Aced showcases their combined strengths beautifully in a seamless M/M story that’s romantic, witty, and sinfully hot.

Aced is a crossover between Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series and Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series. Ace Locke is the Hollywood action star/Shayne’s client in Hooker by Brooke Blaine. Dylan Prescott is Derek’s roommate in Devil's Kiss by Ella Frank. If you’re unfamiliar with either series, don’t worry. You’ll be able to follow this story just fine.

The men themselves are irresistible. Ace seems to be the ultimate macho man, but inside he’s an insecure person coming to terms with living as an outed celebrity. He’s also a complete softy at heart. Dylan is extremely compassionate and agreeable, yet very forward. He boldly takes what he wants, and what he wants is his dream man: Ace. They smoothly trade Alpha roles, and it’s all kinds of sexy. Oh, and they both speak dirty talk fluently. Mmm-mm good.

This book has a little something for everyone. Are you a fan of comedy? The flirting is funny, and Dylan’s hippie parents are absolutely hilarious. Are you a sucker for sweet romances? Ace’s romantic gestures will definitely detonate your ovaries. Does erotica get your blood pumping? Get your fire extinguishers ready because my Kindle practically burst into flames. This is a thigh-clenching, extra-panties-required, not suitable for public reading kind of story—if you know what I mean.

The writing style is marvelous, but I did feel like the plot was a bit stagnant at times. Perhaps I’m just a drama junkie, but I would have appreciated a little more conflict. Only the surface of the characters is scratched, and I wanted a deeper connection. Still, my interest was captured throughout, and I consider Aced a winning read.

I’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is this book isn’t a standalone. Nope, the ending leaves you gently hanging. The story continues in Locked, so I guess the good news is there’s more Dylan and Ace to look forward to in August 2016!

It’s no secret that I am absolutely obsessed with Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it when it comes to these two amazing and fabulous authors. If they will write it, I will for sure read it. And to know that Ella and Brooke teamed up once again to collaborate on ACED has me fangirling and swooning over this book hard.

If you are familiar with Ella Frank’s work then it’s no surprise that Ms. Frank can write a sexy and emotional M/M romance like no other. And if you are familiar with Brooke Blaine, then you are well aware that Brooke can write a sexy romance that has her stamp of fun and sass incorporated. So if you combine both of their works, then you get one spectacular and fabulous book. Pardon my language but this book can be simply summed up as “fucking amazing.”

ACED hands down is in my top five favorite M/M romance books! I seriously LOVE LOVE LOVE this book hard. The writing and storytelling were phenomenal. I can go on and on about it but I won’t because if there is one thing Ella and Brooke can promise their readers is that their works speaks for themselves. They continue to deliver a story that has heat, passion, love, and raw emotions to keep readers like myself intrigued and begging for more. And yes, I am begging for more. And how could I not when it comes to Dylan and Ace. Seriously, just thinking about these two makes my heart flutter and toes curl from all the love and erotic foreplay that Ella and Brooke whipped up.

There are so many things I love about this book from the characters, the emotions, the writing, and the authors, but one thing I love about this story is that Ella and Brooke didn’t rush the story of Ace and Dylan. Their story of fantasy becoming reality deserved another book and I am so happy that Ella and Brooke are going to give this couple the proper and right ending that they truly deserved. And if you are new to M/M romance books and is looking for a book to pop that cherry, then I would highly recommend you give this book a try. Two fabulous authors. Two hot main characters. And one phenomenal romance.

4.5 Stars!

This was one hot, steamy read and I definitely loved it! I’m a huge fan of Ella’s Temptation and Sunset Cove series. I love her stories and all those yummy boys that love boys. I have to admit I’m not familiar with Brooke’s L.A. Liaisons series, but I need to give it a try after this cause Aced was fantastic!

Aced combines a character from Ella Franks’ Sunset Cove series with a character from Brooke’s L.A. Liaisons series, and although I haven’t read Brooke’s books I didn’t feel lost or anything. So this one can be totally read as a standalone series. Yes, series, this book ends in a cliffhanger and there will be book 2, which is exciting.

Ever since I read Devil's Kiss I loved Dylan and wanted his book so bad. He totally didn’t disappoint. I loved Dylan, loved his attitude and cockiness. I also loved his family and their hippie antics, they’re hilarious. I also loved Ace, he’s an action star that recently came out of the closet. He was super funny and hot and I totally understood his struggles and his yearning to keep his privacy.

“This guy was making me feel things I'd only dreamed about.”

So Dylan is a model and he’s also working on his first movie as an actor. He’s been infatuated with Ace for a while and can’t believe he will be working with someone he admires. As a model, he worked on a famous underwear campaign and his face is plastered in a huge billboard in Hollywood and Highland. Unbeknownst to him, Ace is a huge fan of his billboard and has been fantasizing about him for a while.

“He made me feel reckless. He made me forget that I was in a room full of my peers, some of whom I didn’t know overly well. He made me forget my role, and all because he had a face that had literally stopped me in my tracks for weeks.”

There’s tons of hotness in this book. Their chemistry is incredible and when they get together is scorching hot. I loved their conversations and their banter. We also get to see a different side of both and there are also tons of sweet and romantic moments. Of all the Sunset Cove books, this has definitely been my favorite. Like I said, it ends in a cliffy and I can’t wait to see how their story ends!

“Oh God. I had a tendency to get naked and dance on bar tops when tequila was involved, so if this was how the night was starting off…shit. Not good. Not good at all.”

This book can be read as a standalone - BUT - for all those who read the Sunset Cover series and the L.A. Liaisons series, you all remember Dylan and Ace.
Dylan is a male model and Ace is a Hollywood superstar.

Dylan just moved to Los Angeles from Florida for his modeling job, but now he's landed a tiny little part in Ace's newest movie. Ace - the guy he's been lusting after for years.

And Ace. He's been lusting as well. Every day when he drove by this huge billboard advertising underwear....and Dylan is wearing that underwear!
And now that they'll see each other every day, this mutual attraction could be pursued.

But it's not easy being a gay Hollywood star. He's had his coming out recently, but still, middle America does not want their stars to be gay. And paparazzi are following him everywhere all the time. They want to shoot the first pic of Ace kissing a guy.

That's why this new relationship needs to stay hidden.
Which is ok for Dylan in the beginning....but that's not really how a happy relationship is supposed to work.

Will Dylan be able to handle the whole secret-lovers thing?
And what will happen to Ace's career if their relationship is discovered?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH ACE & DYLAN???
WILL THERE BE A HEA???
WILL THERE BE A CLIFFY???

description

I'm not telling you that of course ☺

description

Yup, there will be a Cliffy - but book #2 will be out sooooon!

I LOOOOVED THIS STORY!

I was sooo looking forward to reading the Dylan & Ace story.
And what an adorable story it was.

So very sexy and cute and funny and frustrating and sad and moving and grrrr. I just want to hit every homophobic idiot over the head with this paperback!
I wish we already lived in a world where everybody could be openly in love with the person he's in love with!!!

But back to the story.
Amazing location and atmosphere - Hollywood and a movie studio.... I just love those those kinds of books!

And then we have those mega-hot guys falling for each other.
Phew!!!

description

Very erotic!

It will of course take them a while to get to their happily ever after, but it's SO fun to watch them fight for it! There's not only the usual shit to overcome. There's the press, paparazzi, parents, agents, managers, movie studios ... Dylan and Ace have a long way to go. And we'll be right there with them!

ACED was a very sexy and adorable Hollywood-Love-Story about two guys fighting to find their HEA! Run to your nearest amazon to find out if they succeed. Also: #CoverPorn ☺

4 "Locke-down" stars 🌟

Ace is a Hollywood star who meets Dylan, a model and also the man of his dreams.
(Fun fact: Dylan's quirky family have a really unusual name for him!)

“You like the name Daydream? And here I thought you were going to give me shit for it.”
“Yeah,” Ace said. He gently stroked his thumb over my lower lip. “Considering I have spent the last six weeks daydreaming about this mouth, and all the things I’d want to do to it, I think your name is pretty fucking perfect.”

The slow-building chemistry between Dylan and Ace was so well done!

I pulled away from Ace and whispered, “Thank you.”
“For?”
I reached over, took his hand in mine, and squeezed his fingers. “For being so much more than I could’ve imagined.”

I have to say, Dylan is my favourite of the two. While Ace remains closed off for the most part, Dylan is flirty, open-minded and says what's on his mind.

“How am I looking at you, Ace?”
“You look like you want to fuck.”
Dylan licked his top lip and looked at me from beneath his lashes, and goddamn he was breathtaking as he whispered, “Correction. This look…this look means I want to be fucked.”

Their banter is just so witty and sexy, and they are really adorable together!

“You said when we get home tonight. Whose home did you mean?”
I caught his eyes with mine and then said with the utmost sincerity, “Anywhere you are.”

One thing that did bug me at times was that this book had alternating POVs, but didn't mention whose POV it was! Like, what is up with that?!

Other than that, this book was a pretty fun read!

I am pleasantly surprised by this book!

I was on complete and utter Locke-down.

I was expecting something chessy, maybe cringey and overall 3 stars and below worthy and holy shit, (Vasili, slap them all please) because this book WAS GOOD, REALLY REALLY GOOD.

“Nothing, Daydream. But you better get your sweet ass in the car before I forget my good intentions.”
I walked outside and headed toward the stairs. “Eh, who needs those?”
As Ace pulled the door shut behind himself, he followed, and I heard him call out, “That’s exactly what I was hoping you’d say.”

Yes it brought an extra INSTA to insta love, and it probably has many flaws immune to my rose tinted glasses but I don't care.

Ace got to his feet and slipped his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he looked around the group. Then he let loose a smile so wide and cocky you couldn’t help but be in awe of his confidence. The guy had it in spades.

Ace Locke is FUCKING EVERYTHING and he deserves the damn WORLD AND BEYOND and I fucking LOVEEEEE Dylan. At first, I was bit ehhhh about him, he was fine and okay, but it ended there, HOWEVER the more the book progressed and the WAY. THE DAMN WAY Dylan began to put Ace first, how he treated Ace, how he showed Ace his respect and honesty and just, FUCKIN did things to him that spelled AWE I just.... YES. YES. YES YES YES. YES!!

I laced my fingers with his and squeezed. “And whatever it is you need from me, you can have that too.”

Ace seemed to be a man of contradictions, and, if I had to guess, one at war with himself. It had been so long since I’d been around anyone who wasn’t completely open with who they were that I wasn’t sure what the next step was, or even if there should be a next step. But as I stared at the attractive man in front of me, I knew I wasn’t willing to give up on the promise of something, even if it meant hiding in the shadows and waiting for him to seek me out. Because my gut told me that whatever this was between us wasn’t over yet.

Like their first fucking fight and the way Ace handled it and groved for Dylan, I was sobbing of awe. Like THIS IS HOW you handle a situation that makes me giddy without making me gag of cringey sappiness, people!

“Where do you think you’re going?” I asked.
“Fucking leaving, so move.”
Shaking my head, I said, “No, see, that’s not the way it works. Get pissed at me all you want, but fight it out here and get it off your chest. Don’t go fuming when I’m not around to defend myself.”

Also this → “Little early for business, isn’t it, Logan?” FUCKING SOBBING!!!!!!

Just.. everything. Everything about this book speaks to me. I'm half convinced to rate this 4.5 stars.

Shaking my head, I said, “I asked you first. You want me, Ace?”
Ace bit down on the inside of his bottom lip, and the shy response to my question almost took my breath away. The Ace sitting in front of me was so different from the huge personality on the big screen, or the self-assured one he radiated when others were around. For some reason, the thought hit me that this was the real Ace, the one who seemed almost nervous as he sat mere inches away from me, contemplating how to answer my question.

All I'm gonna say is, this book missed the chance to say: You just got Aced. pun fucking intended.

Ooof to read book 2! Because that cliffhanger literally made me raise my middle finger.

initial reactions
I sigh of relief because I FINALLY finished a book in nearly 3 weeks 😩

I am not quite sure how to start this, because Ella Frank is one of my most favourite authors. I loved Logan and Tate and really enjoyed the first two books in the Sunset Cove series. But this....
I simply could not get into it. At 66 % I had to make a conscious effort to keep going. And that is mainly due to the MCs.
Now that I'm finished I can say that I liked Ace better than Dylan who kept grating on my nerves. He makes Ace feel really bad about standing up for him with the director at one point. Dylan's reaction is totally out of order imo. And that is not the only time he acts like an idiot.

Ace turned out to be quite a nice guy in the long run although I had a hard time (and no, "there is NO pun intended", this being a well used phrase in the book ...) coping with the endless comments how hot the guy supposedly was. If you're into mega muscles, Sylvester Stallone type, fine - unfortunately I find that rather off putting. Too much is too much. A Michelin man, a tan and that silver chain around his neck just killed it for me. Not my type at all. I guess that's neither his nor the authors' fault, but there it is.

Yes, there was a good amount of sex, but I didn't even find that really enjoyable because of the tone of the book. I'm not sure what the authors were trying to achieve, but to me both MCs often come across as pretty crude and basic. Too much f***ing this, and f***ing that. Not that I mind the word (I would be reading the wrong genre if I did!), but heck, it really was overused.
And their 'sexual banter' drove me round the bend. Jokes about sausages, unoriginal word play on the word 'hard'..... Really? Not funny. Even the titles of the chapter sounded cheap to me.

As for the plot - nothing there really grabbed me. It was pretty much insta-lust and fancying each other purely for looks. I never found out why and when Ace and Dylan developed deeper feelings for each other. They just did somehow. Glad they felt it because I certainly didn't. And why getting caught with a guy was such a big deal for Ace when he was already out was a bit unclear, too.
I do apologise for ranting on, but I had high expectations for this book, and I feel gutted that I didn't like it. I will certainly not look for the continuation. Sorry.

4.5 Sizzling-hot MM romance Stars!

 photo 45D7EDB6-006E-4F04-B94C-391C74310E8D_zpslcpx2wum.gif

When I'd gotten the news that Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank were joining forces to write a spin-off MM romance to Brooke's LA Liasons and Ella's Sunset Cove series', I was so freaking excited. Having read all the books in both series, combined with Brooke's gift of comical endearing stories and Ella's steaming hot MM books, I knew combining writing styles would be a hit.

Ace Locke is a world famous actor, loved by all, freshly out of the closet, yet obsessed with privacy from the paparazzi. Everyone wanting to get the first pic of his male love interest, he makes it a point to not get photographed with anyone. When a billboard cover model he's secretly lusted after each day he passes it on the highway, is hired as an extra in his latest movie, he can't resist the physical pull that's Dylan Prescott. All he can imagine is that billboard- perfectly cut body in white Calvin Klein underwear and black leather jacket. And now he's here in the flesh. But he can't have him. Publicity is not doable.

I loved the slow build but palpable chemistry between Ace and Dylan. Of all the MM books I've read from Ella (and I've read them all) this is seriously the hottest. Both men physically fit, masculine and virile, the scenes sizzling between those two. Couple that with the secretive nature of their relationship due to Ace's popularity, it made it that much more naughty and NICE!

I loved getting little cameos of the past characters in both series too, especially the MEN!

Aced is seriously a five star read... until the very end and I was so blasted angry. Not because of the specific CLIFFHANGER we get but more so with the fact that it was never advertised as a series or having a continuing plot. In fact, early readers/blogger promotions stated it's a STANDALONE and nobody corrected them. So when I hit that last scene, finding out there's a book to follow as soon as August, I felt deceived.

 photo 092149A0-21E5-4328-8AC2-7E307FCFB665_zpseyh1ehv4.gif

As much as I loved this book, I personally need a resolution in my reading and I simply would've held off until the series was complete to dive into this. So consider yourself warned. Aced is one spectacular MM romance but the ending will make you beg for more. The sequel can't come soon enough. There's a lot of story left between these two guys, a lot of challenges ahead and I look forward to more Ace and Dylan!

Overall, this is VERY well done. And I look forward to future co-authored books by this author duo.

I enjoyed Aced, I liked Dylan and Ace but I did not love them like I did Ella Frank’s previous couples, this was missing the intensity in the story for me.

Dylan Prescott has moved to LA for his modelling career and his agent has got him his first acting job in the new blockbuster with Hollywood’s biggest action man Ace Locke who just happens to be Dylan’s fantasy dream guy.

Ace Locke has been drooling over the model wearing only a leather jacket and CK tighty whiteys on a billboard for weeks imaging his surprise when his hottest fantasy is in his new movie.

Dylan has been out and proud for years and even though Ace has come out to the press he has never been seen out with a guy and all the paparazzi are waiting for that photo op.

The sexual chemistry between these two is hot I found Ace being nervous cute for a tough action man and Dylan is patient with him taking it slow but when they get going they are hot and heavy. These two talk a lot its not just physical which I enjoyed and the banter could be funny and I loved having snippets of Derek, Jordan and the man himself Logan Mitchell made me smile ;)

As I was getting closer to the end of the book with lots of unanswered questions I had a feeling that the story was going “to be continued” and I was correct but we only have to wait till next month which is not to bad as I am dying to know what will happen next and will we discover who Zorro is????

3.75**** fluffy hollywood ☆ stars

When I started listening I was not sure if I would actually like it because admitted, I’m not a big fan of the ☆Hollywood/models/glitter & stars☆ trope and I had some troubles getting invested.

But once the story took off and I warmed up to Charlie David’s way of narrating I fell in love with Ace & Dylan. It was a sweet, light (if not to say the fluffiest fluff) feel good story. And funny. Their banter was just so cute.

Their love story took off immediately. It was insta love and attraction. They were literally each other’s wet dreams even before they met in person for the first time with Dylan being a CK Model on a big billboard and Ace being a famous movie actor.

Their excursion to the desert and that party at that secret night club was hot af. There was a whole lot of sex involved here in general.

Other than that there was not really anything major happening in that part of the story so I hope for a bit more drama in the second. Then of course Ella Frank cuts the story at some point and have us buying another (audio)book after delivering a cliff hanger.

Sorry my darlings, but I DNF... and I never do that. I just couldn't get into the story, the silly stuff, the guys didn't catch my interest. I'm moving on... !

I know it's very popular, and maybe I'll try again later, after I wait awhile.

I am still a fan of Ella Frank, I've loved her other books. :)
