Protecting Eden by Kay Eden is the story of Eden a young lady who is working late at her job when her boss runs into her office to tell her to hide. She finds herself in the middle of his mess. Her boss has been involved in some shady dealings which have resulted in him getting himself killed and putting Eden’s life in danger. This book is a novella and was quite fast-paced. Ms. Blake wrote a decent story about overcoming our pasts and learning to heal. The writing was a bit juvenile and the sex scenes didn’t have the amount of heat I usually read. While Steven and Eden had good chemistry, I felt that there wasn’t enough story arc to really delve into their character's psyche. dealing with shady people can get you killed and when her boss gets murdered Eden is now running from the same shady people who killed her boss. Enter Steven ex Army who is battling his own issues.
