My original Ren: The Monster Inside the Monster audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.
This was the final installment in Sarah Noffke’s Ren series about my favorite sarcastic and obstinate British anti-hero. There will be spoilers if you have not yet read, or listened to, books 1 or 2, Ren: The Man Behind the Monster and Ren: God's Little Monster, which I would highly recommend as this trilogy is brilliant entertainment (and there is a boxed set now, so all three tog

*I received the book from the author for an honest review!*

I have to say with all the honesty I am capable of, I WANT TO STRANGLE REN, and then I want to pet him. Is that a bad thing? Is that something a socially inept psychopath prone to bipolar tendencies would do?
I just can't figure it out.
I mean, I love Sarah, I looooooovvvveeee her. I even lurve her. But do you realize how crazy a person must be to come up with a character such as Ren. I really don't want to know what goes on in her head,

It’s fair to say that Ren has a… unique attitude towards life and relationships. It’s equally fair to say that I love his character for it! Sure he can be cruel and uncaring and a complete jerk which makes you want to hit him over the head, but he can also be selfless and snarky and sincere which makes you want to give him a hug (and I still hold on to the idea that he would protest more at this). Review of Ren. The Monster inside the Man
Have you ever read a book that blew your mind and you had to immediately read it again? ! Yep that just happened with this book. I am dumbfounded with the talent this author holds.
Ren is by far one of my favorite characters ever! I love him even more after this book. His arrogance, his brutally honest persona, his intelligence and his heart ( yes I said heart) were in serious competition to be center stage in this story.
With the insane plot and devious

Ren's story is addictive, once you start you can't stop. In this one we are pulled into his daughter's and grandson's life and the crazy things Ren must do to 'save the world'. Another wonderful instalment in Ren's series.

Ren Lewis is not happy and you know it from page one. Life in his well ordered world has just been upended by his unrepentant little monster. Irascibly entertaining, Ren must deal with both problems at work and his unsettled household with his limited patience and coping skills. Sarah Noffke has the ability to take a cantankerous curmudgeon and make him not only lovable, but leave the reader wanting more. A suitable conclusion to a satisfying series.

This last book in the REN series does not disappoint, the evolution of the characters, the humour, heartbreak, intrigue and suspense will not let you put this captivating read down. Not only does Ren have to navigates the turbulent waters of becoming both a father and a grandfather, but he must also discover the mole within the Lucidite Institute and defeat the brilliant Vivian before her plans, for both him and the middlings, come to fruition. This is a heart wrenching, hair pulling, breath tak ...more

Ren Lewis isn’t a man that shows emotion or even allows himself to feel. He has built a wall around himself. Now, not only does he find that out that he has a daughter, she is pregnant with his grandchild. Neither is he prepared to embrace. And, an evil enchantress, Vivian, is out to make Ren her own. She is his intellectual equal on many levels. Will these events destroy him or will Ren evolve?

Ren as usual doesn't disappoint with his British snark and sassy attitude. However, Ren 3 delivers more than just the expected and adored snark. There is an evolutionary nature to this book that will tug at your heartstrings. Yes, I said a Ren book is going to evoke emotions - I know you think I must have hit my head, but I didn't.

A third book in a series is hard to review. What do you say that hasn't been said before? The characters are the same. In the case of this series, which is all parts of the same over-arching storyline, the plot is much the same. You're basically left with a review that says, I liked this one more or less than the previous two. And I liked it about the same.

It's holding steady at a 3-star read. I've gotten comfortable enough with Ren to appreciate his sarcasm (though he'd never call it that) and

Ren is amazing and I’m so glad that Sarah Noffke let his story be told. Let’s face it he is snarky tell it like he sees it and holds nothing back no matter who you are he does not care. You either love him, hate him, or love to hate him but again he does not care. Then you add Adelaide his daughter to the mix and she is exactly like him only difference is she wants Ren to love her and care about her but the Monster in them both knows that is ju

Wow! This is the book that shows why Sarah Noffke is one of the hottest new authors out there! How often is it that the third book in a series is even better than the fantastic first book?! Everything you think you know about Ren is questioned; you cannot predict how he’s going to react to all the extenuating circumstances he finds himself thrown into this time. Not only are there the usual unexpected twists and turns, but there’s a HUGE one that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. We’re in ...more
I have really enjoyed the Ren series. The story evolves and enlarges the readers understanding of what makes Ren tick. His suffering and happiness combine into a hellava book. This is the darkest of Sarah Nofkes books, yet it is my favorite. It reveals the dual natures of humans and the struggles we all face to some degree in our lives.I am going to really miss the snarky Brit.Yet I have hope that we might see a series based on Adelaide or Lucian's lives. The narrator has a pleasant voice and does an ...more

I loved this book, and I'm sad it's the end to the Ren series. I can only hope he makes appearances in more of Noffke's books.

Ok so not my favorite book in the series over all. Not because of the writing but because of the horrid behaviors of mostly one character. I was very happy that Ren stepped up/into that situation. However, the lengths that one may go to justify the means didn't sit well with me either during one of the cases. Very disappointed with how that was done & blown away that any woman would be so blasè about it either. Tsk smh

It makes me sad to give such a poor review. BUUTTT, this book won't keep m

This man causes me the most profound stress while trying to decide whether I love him or hate him. He's sarcastic and bitter and downright cruel, but he's lived a life that's caused him to disconnect from his emotions in order to survive. So my options are to throttle him or hug him I just and can't make up my mind which would be the better choice. Ren undergoes some pretty extensive personal growth during this book. The two previous books hinted that something major was coming but I admit I was ...more

Ren's genius is tested to the limit, with events that seem to be out of control on all fronts. However, as the storyline pulls all the threads together, so does the plot thickens and then is dealt with, with a masterful sweep of the pen.
I have enjoyed the audio rendition of this series, and love the attitude exuded by Ren's character, one cannot exactly love him, but you have to admire the temerity of the characters created, and in turn, the craftsmanship of the author.

I don't know if I love to hate Ren or if I hate to love him. Indifference is not an option. This is a story where not just the villains are certifiable. Relationships are complicated. Life is complicated. Cheer or boo these characters; either way will still have you caring what happens to them. And that is what a great story does. Enjoy.

Not quite the end

Ren is fascinating and full of contradictions. Seeing him evolve, grow, and discover truths about himself is riveting.

The range of emotions expressed, the truths and lessons learnt, are so full. This is an intense series about an intense man, and I'm glad that it isn't the final book.

Ren Book 3 By Sarah Noffke

Ren Hates Change, yet his world is changing right before his eyes.

Ren Lewis finds out that Adelaide his newly found daughter is 3 to4 months pregnant and was trying to hide it. Ren is angry that he hadn’t put two and two together. Had he known, he would not have made Time traveling part of her training.Time travel can be dangerous for both mother and child, it could kill either or both. He sends a healer to Adelaide, her name is May. She is old and frail but the best at

Ren is a LEGEND! Nothing more, nothing less. This is an incredibly epic story. This is one of my top favorite series EVER! Ren has made many appearances in Sarah Noffke’s books. He has always remained so mysterious but you know there is so much more going on with him. I ached to find out what made him the man he is. I asked and I received. So, enough about my random is my review.

4.0. This book was a real roller coaster, but it was pretty much the perfect ending to the series.

The Monster within the Monster picks up right where God's Little Monster left off. After finally working things out again with Dahlia, Ren must come to terms with Addie's pregnancy while trying to find a way to thwart Vivian's plans.

In God's Little Monster, we saw a whole new side of Ren ... his

Ren Lewis is back for one final time in the last book in his trilogy. We pick up immediately where the previous book left off. Ren has just discovered that his daughter Adelaide is pregnant, meaning just as he’s learning to accept the fact that he is a father, he’s going to become a grandfather as well. Ren's new found daughter Adelaide is with child, wtf! Still working on how his daughter will fit into his life, Ren is blindly slapped with the news that his accident is having an accident. Good Lord help us all!

Ren and Dahlia had just gotten back together when Adelaide showed up to throw a monkey in the mix. Having a mini me wasn't working for Ren at all, but she grew on him, like an unwanted goiter. Just as the happy father/daughter duo started relaxing into their new relationship, Ren finds o

Oh Ren what are we going to do with you??? I love Ren, I wasn't sure when we first met him awhile back but as time has gone on I have learned to really love him. He is the character that you hate but really want to know more about. I started this book and I said for all the others I couldn't put it down. A stunning conclusion to the saga of the monster who lives within all of us. Another outstanding and incredible addition to the increasing library of Sarah Noffke. I am enthralled, enamored, and downright obsessed with this series.

Ren captures your heart by being obstinate, irritating, and sarcastic. Not your typical kind and strong hero here. Ren is human not hero. We can all relate at least somewhat to this irascible gentleman. Some of us (me for instance) more than others.

I've been dreading writing this review, so it is long overdue.

I loved the banter between Ren and Adelaide in book 2. They were basically not talking throughout this installment though, so it lacked a bit of the lightheartedness that I had grown to love and took a more serious tone. Overall, it felt less polished than the previous two books.

Further, although I really ought not to let my personal beliefs shade my rating of a book, I had a particularly hard time with the way pregnancy/childbirth/ne

Wow… Sarah Noffke really tested my love for Mr. Ren Lewis in this series, but bottom line – he is exactly who he claims to be. Nothing more, nothing less, and I love the hell out of this character for that. In “Monster Inside…” we pick up right where book 2 leaves off – with Ren basically scrambling to save his sanity. He’s dealing with the pregnancy of his newly discovered daughter as well as with trying to devise the perfect strategy to put an end to Vivian’s evil plans. The way Ren deals with ...more

Ren is one of those characters that you either love or can't stand. He's so repulsed by most of humanity that its endearing. That may sound odd but it's true. He's a very intriguing and magnetic character. He has a certain allure that draws people to him even though he acts like he wants nothing to do with them.
In this book he completes his final case with the Lucidites. This puts a strain on his relationship with Dahlia. Also, Adelaide has a baby and deals with postpartum depression while tryin
