About the author

I am an Australian children's writer of fiction, nonfiction and verse. I mostly write picture books about animals and nature. Some have been recognised for awards, including the Wilderness Society Environment Award for Children's Literature and Whitley Awards.
A former outdoor educator, zoologist and zookeeper, I hope to leave readers with a love of words, curiosity and nature.
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband, daughter and big, black dog, Banjo.

What a fun book, great illustrations!!! Cute little story about two birds on a island and what treasures they find together and alone...enjoyed this one and will enjoy sharing it with others :) I won this book in a goodreads giveaway thank you!

Teaches kids about the true treasures of life and what to prioritize. Cute illustrations. Some of the vocabulary was a little out of range for the target demographic.
