This book is one of my most treasured possessions. When I left my elementary school almost twenty years ago, I begged the school librarian to let me keep it. She understood, as I did, that a 600+ page book published in 1926, with only a few woodcut illustrations, was not likely to capture the interest of the average 10-year-old. I really love this version of the Robin Hood myth, because it changes how we normally see the myth. Edith Heal did a marvelous job on this book, and I recommend it for any one who loves Robin Hood.
