New options for scoundrel characters from the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.

Learn what it takes to be a smuggler, or how to build up a criminal empire that can rival the Hutt clans. Take your ship on the dangerous Kessel run, or chase down a bounty and claim your reward. Watch out for the long arm of Imperial law, though, or you may find yourself on a one-way trip to the spice mines.

This book provides extensive information on life on the fringe in the Star Wars universe. More than just information for players, this book gives Gamemasters a wide variety of information on bounty hunters, crime syndicates, smugglers, pirates, and criminals of all stripes throughout the Star Wars setting. Covering everything from vile Hutt gangsters to smooth-talking con artists, Scum and Villainy gives both players and Gamemasters everything they need to fit right in at Mos Eisley spaceport.

Scum and Villainy brings the Saga Edition rules to the fringes of society, introducing new rules and information on smugglers, bounty hunters, crime lords, and anyone else that walks outside the law.

Wizards of the Coast LLC (often referred to as WotC /ˈwɒtˌsiː/ or simply Wizards) is an American publisher of games, primarily based on fantasy and science fiction themes, and formerly an operator of retail stores for games. Originally a basement-run role-playing game publisher, the company popularized the collectible card game genre with Magic: The Gathering in the mid-1990s, acquired the popular Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game by purchasing the failing company TSR, and experienced tremendous success by publishing the licensed Pokémon Trading Card Game. The company's corporate headquarters are located in Renton, Washington in the United States.[1]

Wizards of the Coast publishes role-playing games, board games, and collectible card games. They have received numerous awards, including several Origins Awards. The company has been a subsidiary of Hasbro since 1999. All Wizards of the Coast stores were closed in 2004.

Excellent examination of RPing the fringe/criminal side of the Star Wars universe. It’s amazing how this sourcebook does a better job of exploring this side of things than the entire Edge of the Empire core Rulebook from FFG. The tables alone for creating jobs and payment is worth the price of this book.

I would rate this supplement a four if they'd only put more pictures of the races, droids, and ships. A good solid supplement for someone wanting to play a smuggler, bounty hunter, outlaw tech, pirate, privateer, shipjacker, or assassin. Several new races, new feats, new talents, new prestige classes, and added rules for shadowports (spaceports without customs officials) plus added rules for space travel and encounters are in this supplement. Also in the supplement is a chapter on a sample shadowport--Point Nadir, a chapter of mini-adventures, and a chapter that is a complete adventure.

Overall, if you play the game and want to play an anti-hero or smuggler type character it is definitely worth getting, and for a GM it is one of those optional supplements that you should probably pick up. Not needed for basic game play.

A must buy for GMs running Star Wars: Saga Edition campaigns. In addition to introducing a bunch of new feats, talents, gear and starship options for players, this book includes a mini-campaign, a series of linked one-shot adventure briefs (with maps, character stats), job generators, a skill DC chart, and much more.

Good for building a campaign around thieves and mob bosses in Star Wars. The main point of these newer editions of the RPG is the adding of your own cinematics to your game, and making the argument that Han shot first can take on a whole new dimension of gameplay. Fun times.

This one is lower on my favorites list of the books, partially since none of the new feats add to any class bonus feats. And constantly keeping an eye on players asking for weapons upgrades. I do like the Wroonian species, though.
