Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.
Pseudonym of Sabrina Jeffries, under which she wrote eight historical romance novels, Moonlight Enchantment, Creole Nights, By Love Unveiled, Silver Deceptions, Dangerous Angel, Stormswept, Windswept, and Creole Bride, and contributed to two anthologies, A Dance with the Devil, and One Night with a Rogue.
It was a little fluffy for my tastes and while the heroine is described as bold and daring and not afraid to speak her mind, I found her quite annoying and know-it-all-esque. It was a very watered down version of what the actual circumstances of the time would be like if these were real people. And yes I know the author is allowed some latitude and creative license, it just fell flat with me. It was too easy. The complications between the couple were very immature. And as the daughter of a pirate I would think she wouldn’t be so aloof. It was an easy read. Not my favorite. Probably won’t be adding it to my collection to re read
