Alexis Hightower considers trust a four-letter word, and she has no intention of getting serious with anyone. After all, her day job as a nurse is plenty serious enough. On one of her nights off, she attends a concert for her favorite band and ends up on stage. She never expected to meet the legendary singer in person or that he would be the one to make her question her wa ...more

I really loved this book. It was a rock star romance but with a different twist which is what I loved. For me it a unique storyline when it comes to a rock star romance.

Lexie is a nurse who works long hard hours but loves her job. She has a good life, that includes a great job, a best friend, Simone, who is always there for her and their mutual love of the band Survival of the Fittest. They have been fans of theirs since before they became famous. Her and Simone go to see them play and to her s

I received a gifted copy in exchange for a honest review.

A Face in the Crowd is a top 2016 favorite. I will be honest. It is an swoon worthy emotional story that had me in tears to laughter throughout the book. The story contains a subject very dear to my heart that the minute I read the words leukemia, I broken down in tears. I hope you don't mind my heart felt honesty in this review, but I don't know how to do this book justice without.

I first want to start off with the characters. Our main ch

Sleep, work, eat and repeat is the life of Lexie Hightower. She is nurse who has a stressful, demanding and rewarding job. She loves what she does for a living but she always knows how to have fun. She loves music and adventure. So, when her favorite band was in town, she and her best friend listened to them play.
Oliver Honeycutt is the front man of the band. With a chance encounter, Lexie was brought up on stage. Envious of so many women wishing that they were her. Leaving the stadium, she was

Are you a music lover? Concert junkie?! Ever wondered what it would be like to make-out with the lead singer of a band? Yeah, me too and that's one of the many reasons that I loved this book! On top of all that, it was set in Atlanta which is near and dear to my heart. It was just believable enough to make me wonder...could this happen to me one day? I couldn't put it down because I couldn't wait to see what happened next and it didn't disappoint!! The characters were down to earth and as normal ...more

first time I read anything by this author. great story. I had some difficulty reading the parts at the hospital and bailey being sick and in treatment. but Oliver and Lexie's story is sweet. she has trust issues he is a rockstar. she is helping him get through his brother being sick, she is helping Bailey through it as well. Oliver pursues Lexie and at first and even during their relationship she ran hot and cold because she was afraid to get hurt and follow in her mother's footsteps, who was on ...more

3.5/5.0

This is a great story of friends and family banding together in times of devastation, and finding love in the most unlikely of places.

DNF at 60%. I don't like third person narrative anyway, but I was intrigued as I like a rock star romance. I didn't enjoy the writing style, and even though I wanted to know how it ended, I just had to stop.

This is such a great read. I have had my head in Fantasy for the last couple of weeks and I needed the switch. Steamy rock-star romance. What more can you ask for?
