Very useful if you are copy-editing or proofreading a book for Oxford University Press! Sometimes you will need to use your own judgement (judgment in legal contexts and US English), as not everything is covered here, but it is pretty thorough. The first half, New Hart's Rules, deals with such things as grammar, punctuation, and specific issues relating to foreign languages; the second half, New Oxford Dictionary for Writers and Editors, comprises (avoid comprises of!) a huge alphabetized (or al ...more
