No longer forced to hide his ability, Rsiran now Slides openly throughout the city as he helps it recover from the recent attack. Requirements of his time continue to mount, not only as he tries to help his friends, but new responsibilities to the guild force him to interact with the Elvraeth, where he discovers the uneasy alliance that exists between the guilds and the council.
When one of the great crystals goes missing, that alliance is tested, and the quest to find the crystal leads him to realize a secret long hidden, one that risks everyone in the city, and a discovery of a betrayal far deeper than he would have believed. Rsiran must risk everything to save those he cares about, but even that might not be enough to prevent the next Venass attack.
This volume was definitely one with many answers and a lot going on in the right direction. Enjoyed every bit of it, and makes me hopeful that the ending will be worthy of the length of this series! All characters have developed nicely along the way in ways that fit nicely within the plot. Great work!
This is book six in this fabulous series of seven books. I honestly feel overall that this is also the best since the first. I don't feel any need to recap the story for you. What I will say is " Read this series of books". You will not regret it!!! ENJOY
His power grown. His dominance & ability respected….and feared. A precarious collaboration forged between guilds and council. Underneath sinister conspiracy weaves a deadly web.
The penultimate book in a series that has gripped me from the start. The action, magic & mystery fantastic!
Hilbert continues to see the possibilities of this universe and everything is enjoyable and unexpected. I love the character of Rsiran and watching him struggle with decisions. Recommended reading for those who love a good time in a fantastic world.
unusual allies and deadly traitors. Haern has struggled with what he could tell his friends about his prior life. Sarah has her private pain. the council is at odds with the guilds, now making threats. Rsiran only wants to find his father and destroy the shadowsteel. who knows what the Hija want.
I love a story I can immerse myself in. Your writing does that. I can almost smell the ores and hear the smithy sounds. I am both excited and sorry to start the last book.
Book 6 was a fun read and had a few twists that are well done. The plot and characters have developed well enough. The plot is forever changing to an extent and the characters are about the same in regards to being naive and learning about new powers they develop.
This book was a thrilling ride from start to finish. The stakes have risen and much of the characters that we know and love have returned to complete their character arc.
I could not stop reading! I just moved from book one to the end. Well next to the end. Great story line. I am sorry there is only one mire book in the series.
This series is great and it is so engaging. Very hard to put down. The characters will draw you into the story and you will want to keep reading. You won't stop and you'll grab the next book and the next until you finish. Great Reading Everyone! Very enjoyable. Update: I read this series again, I love it even more. I read a book a day pretty much and I enjoyed them together (meaning one after another). You will enjoy these.
Hmm. Interesting developments, but I'm starting to think Rsiran's head is getting too big for his own good. Oh well :) I'll wait for the next one to see if it's true :D lol
