A wonderful book about the history and spirit of the NMAI.

well worth a read, if you ever have an interest in visiting this museum. About a half dozen different writers were involved, so some articles were beautifully written, some jam packed with interesting info, others not so much. It will be very helpful, in your visit to the actual museum, to put the exhibitions into a bigger picture context.
