'Tis a Blessing to Be Irish

Whether it's the height of the good times, or the depths of the bad ones, the Irish seem to know how to celebrate life's wonders with great enthusiasm and vigor. This book is the perfect gift for anyone who is even a wee bit Irish. With the popular Abbey Elves, wonderful themes such as love of God, country, family, and tradition are expressed, with the just that touch of wisdom and mischief that make the elves perfect expressions of the wonders of the Irish.

I mean... the title says it all amirite?

Got this for a cute lil Xmas gifty, so I sat down for about 45 minutes and read all about why Irish folks are awesome. As well as why there are so many of us. Seriously - think about it. Everyone talks about the birthrates for Asians and Latinos... but look at the size of those countries!! Ireland is a tiny (in respects to the rest of the world, not like, Rhode Island or Whore Island) island, yet how many people do you know have SOME sort of Irish in their lineage?? (And not just a St. Paddy's Day "Irish" person) I mean, it's a LOT... those suckers BREED.

We drink, we eat, we drink some more, we dance, then drink too much, then "dance".

Just an average day in the life....

Quick little read. Adorable and surprisingly substantive. Much better than expected for a tiny little "gift" book, hence the 4 stars. Or maybe I'm just feeling especially Irish today...
