This is a book for someone who has not adopted or chosen their desired puppy yet.

As someone who adopted a "mature" puppy (four months old) much of the first half of the book was of little help to me. That being said, the first half (or around 80 pages) did give some good insight into choosing a breed, and what goes into creating a delightful guide-dog puppy. This book is for any dog owner who would like to train their new pup and not just those going into a service.

From page 80 on wards this book is wonderful. Not only does this training book tell you how to begin training a new pup but also how to continue through a growing dog's life.

The training tips given in Puppy Training the Guide Dogs Way seem easy to apply and fun for the canine themselves!
