Rating: It's a decent collection; perhaps the high side of 3 stars. There's a lot of material that is almost worth noting here, but not much that actually makes it.
Three sections: "Five Poems for Earth Day 1973" and two longer sections.
"Walking Down an Alley in Detroit on the Lower East Side" is my favorite piece here.
She has placed the wind about me
like a shirt without a seam,
and told me that the words
like men, should have weather in them.
- "The White Goddess"
And tonight it rains as if all the feet
of the dead were falling
against the earth.
- "The Roads of Bread"
