How do you rate a school book? Very informative? This book did have some helpful sections that I could use now and in the future. I need to take two classes in order to promote in my department. So one down, one to go.

I don’t rate textbooks but I have some issues.

1. Anyone can be r*ped, not just women.
2. Marriage happens between more than just a man and woman.
3. Why are all the pronouns she/her? Like, every single one?

Finished this book this month, after starting it earlier this year. I am reading the 3RD EDITION, not the 2nd Edition listed here (3rd isn't available on GR, I guess). This book is a really great overview and introduction to the law from the perspective of paralegals. Of note, it approaches the study of law such that anyone in any state in the USA could begin with this book--it's not state-specific! There were some topics I would have liked to see more detail in, but overall, this book was pretty close to perfect. Thanks, Neal. :)

For a textbook, I really like this book. It had a lot of information that was useful beyond the subject matter, including paralegal profiles in every industry discussed,ethical issues, a skills to know sections,websites, and much more. I think this is a text I might keep to use a future reference.

The writing was very clear and concise. It did not deviate with "howevers" and excpetions. It was easy to understand and follow the subject matter.
