RUST(Courage MC) by Kara Hart
Been the daughter of the boss of Hell's Wheels has not been easy, constantly having to prove herself, but she's worked hard to find her place. So when their club runs into some financial difficulty she makes the decision to look for help with Rust Blackwood of the Courage MC. She's been warned his bad news and he is, his worse but she still needs his help. His not a man to trust and definitely not a man to be messed with, she should have listened. And because of her proposition she finds herself in quiet the predicament.
Jackie Mathews is not a woman that he should have got involved with, she's sweet, beautiful, and way to innocent for him. Until he spends some time with her and find finds out she's much more clued up than he thought and alot less innocent. When his club offers to help hers, trouble comes in the form of complete chaos, disorder, and violence. A fight he never saw coming. A life change he never expected.
This was a very enjoyable read. It's filled with bad guys, violence, drugs, and romance. I liked the storyline it was intriguing and a bit chaotic but still interesting. The characters were likable and rough round the edges, but that's to be expected with MC club reads, and it was nice to see the main female character getting down and dirty as much as the men. Overall a really enjoyable read!

This was a good read but I can’t say that I was a fan of this type of MC. Usually in an MC they hate being called a gang and are all about the brotherhood, in this one they refer to themselves as a gang and they’re all fighting one another, sometimes to the death. It was definitely an unusual spin on the typical MC romance. That being said, I still really like the storyline and that’s why I gave 3.5 Stars.

There is a lot of evil and action in this book.
Even so much I had to put it away from time to time, because it became to much for me.
With one problem solved the next is around the corner again.
And the problems are between biker gangs going evil in very bad way.
But in the middle Rust and Jackie meet and find love, will that be enough to survive?

Much more enjoyable than the first two. I feel like the series has settled in and this book took off nicely.

Two rival MC gangs, a very angry and ornery guy, a woman who is to take over, rivals until something happens.
Rust doesn't have the patience to put up with anything, and he isn't about to back away from any fight no matter what. He is ornery and full of anger waiting to explode. Sometimes it does just that and sometimes it gets put into checkmate, and by all things a rival MC future leader and topping that off that future leader is a woman. Ok, so now what?! Well, considering Rust's friend is the one putting the moves on her to start with, who is he to stand in the way. Only why is she coming and speaking to him....and of all things it is gang related. Can this go any more in the opposite direction than he wanted or saw it happening......oh yes it can, and it will be a bumpy ride to say the very least.
Jackie is the future leader of the rival MC gang to Rust, her father is not well and she knows it. What she doesn't know is that one of her own gang will cross her and start an all out war. He may even bring in more rival MC gangs, rivals to Rust's men and her men. She is going to have to do something about this. She decides to put a plan together that would intermix Rust's men and her men and stand stronger, plus more money for them all, seems like the perfect win win doesn't it? Well not if this member of her crew has anything to do about it. But she has already crossed the border and is now in the lair of Rust and his men......BANG BANG.....what is happening.
Men from both gangs being taken out and threats to overthrow certain leaders aka traitors, hospitalization, drugs that are creating super warriors right before they die from it. Jackie's dad dies while she was unaware, Rust's plan is a drive thru wedding for him and her. If they show they stand in solidarity then the men will too, right?? Wait, what? Some are off creating their own rival gang? This is not supposed to be happening. Then comes a mighty big surprise, Rust and Jackie really do grow to love one another, but is it too late? What promises does Rust and Jackie make? Can they keep these promises? What two connected surprises are in store for Rust? Where will Jackie fit into all of this? Is there a happily ever after for real for these two or are they still in the make believe world?
Too good of a book for you not to pick up and find out the answers. It is a fantastic book. You will not be able to set it down. Laughter, orneriness, anger, love, tears, war and everything in between. Who wants to miss that?

RUST is a fast-paced, action-packed MC romance with plenty of violence, drugs, displaced loyalty and rivalries. The format for RUST was a bit different from most of the MC books I’ve read – strong, smart and sassy heroine leader who can take charge of – and take on – biker guys, references to the MC as a ‘gang’ and not a ‘club’, and a hero who really wants his own woman with whom he can build a life – but it’s also a gripping story that keeps the reader turning the page to see what happens next. There is certainly no limit to fast-paced action scenes, and the reader needs to hold on tight to follow along. Author Kara Hart also blends in several intriguing twists and turns, as well as creative elements with the “drug chemist” and surprise arrivals at the final showdown, to keep the story original and the reader guessing.
Rust may not have been instantly attracted to Jackie when his best friend Johnny tried to make the moves on her, but before long, these two were making eyes at one another and joining forces both horizontally and vertically. The relationship between Rust and Jackie rapidly takes on a life of its own and their feelings for one another quickly evolves into love, especially once Rust puts his plan into action and the two get hitched. I was sold on this, though, simply because Rust had the epiphany about realizing he had no family and nothing to really consider his own, as well as his very early comments about wanting to find a women with whom he could settle down. Once Rust realizes how meeting Jackie has transformed his life and the reader has the chance to glimpse flashbacks from his past and real parents, their feelings and subsequent HEA make more sense.

Fast paced violent clash between warring MC gangs, with horrific drug use, guns and grenades. Rust, Jackie and Bruce are in a fight almost alone against what is initially just a group of traitors from Hells Wheels MC, but they not only join forces with another enemy but also get hold of a horror drug. This is a full on story, lots of terror and suspense and fighting against the odds. But there is also the other side of it, two people who have lost their families finding love, in the darkest and most bitter of times. These are hard, brutal, brash and crude men and Jackie, though she appears soft and vulnerable at the start, is a match for every one of them. There isn't a lot of softness any where in this story except towards the end, but if you like something with an edge and full on none stop excitement then this is it. It is a book with no cliff hanger and though there are other books involving these MC gangs this can be read as a stand alone, so you don't have to be tied to reading one or more series to read it. I classed it a five star read because I felt that it was well deserved.

When a rival MC presidents daughter shows up in your night club you know it isn't by chance and that they are up to something or want to talk but Rust can't figure out why Jackie is playing hard to get when she is the one who showed up at his club. Finally Jackie decides to talk to Rust and let him in on way she is hanging around. Jackie wants to make a deal a deal that would help everyone, that is if everyone is being truthful. Jackie knows that Courage MC is the only MC club that can help her family out now, with Lance sick and not having much longer to live she needs to get things rolling before he passes so deals are already in stone before she looses her father and MC President. What Rust and Jackie didn't count on was half of her crew going off and starting a war between the two clubs. Can Jackie and Rust work together to solve the little problems before they become bigger problems?

I'm extremely surprised at all the good reviews this book got. I managed to finish this book, but it was really out of curiosity as to how bad it could get. I found this book to be fast paced and a bland love scenes between H and H after hating each other just an hour earlier. I don't feel like we got to witness enough of the relationship buildup to make me invested in the couple insta-love. There are so many things that go on and on and on in this book and it took away from the storyline. It feels like the author rushes through and skips over things that should be important. I love MC books but this one just didn't do it for me. I would read another book by this author because some like it and some don't. It is not to say that it was a bad book -- it just had what I like to call too much angst for my taste.

This was a very new author for me but I absolutely love biker books so I could not pass this one up! It was a bit edgy as well adding twists and turns that I never would have expected but was pleasantly surprised by but overall it just didn't wow me, I'm sorry to say. I think it was just too much, in too short of a book for me. I know others will love it though. Three clubs in a battle for that race for top place. He is the total bad boy package without a doubt, she is the rival prez daughter wanting to join forces in a business proposition to bring the third down, easy enough? Not when the chemistry is explosive and outside forces threaten at every turn. Danger, sex, drugs , madness and mayhem abound!

Ahh Rust, he's the sexy, dirty talking, hot as hell Captain in the Courage MC....he's everything you've been warned about....which will only make you want him even more..as Jackie finds out, she is the daughter of the President of the Hell On Wheels MC.....they are rival clubs but have common interests....namely keeping out the competition for the 'product' they both sell, so a deal will be struck......and Jackie and Rust will be right in the middle of all of it....whether they like it or not sometimes....There will be loyalties and trusts tested along the way and descension from within, that will make this one hell of a journey....Love, Loss, Betrayal and Hope will all be experienced by Jackie and Rust before this book is over.....and it will be worth every minute ;)

This is the first book I have read by Kara Hart, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I not a big fan of MC books, but this one was different from the few I have read in the past. I really liked Jackie and how she was going to step up and be a leader no matter what anyone said. I loved it even more when Rust was behind her 100%.
As I said I don't normally read MC books, but this one has to be one of my favorites. I didn't get the whole greasy biker guy vibe (what is the appeal to that in MC books, or am I just picturing SOA too much?) with Rust. Ms. Hart made him sound like a normal guy. I did enjoy this book, and I am going to cycle through the first two book in the series to get a better feel for this upcoming author.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I loved it and couldn't put it down once I started reading it. You will love reading about Rust and Jackie's story. Kara Hart used strong characters and great story lines in her books. Jackie is the daughter of Hell's Wheels leader and Rust is a Captain of Courage MC gangs who plan to marry to save their gangs from going to war. Other members of their gangs have other ideas about the joining of this union though. Will Jackie's gang except her and Rust marriage? Will Rust's gang except his plan of marrying Jackie to keep the peace? What will the other members of their gangs feel about it or do about the union? Will they be able to team up together and defeat the Darkhorse gang for their territory?

Rust and Jackie are both part of the MC lifestyle. He loves it and the women are definitely a plus. She wants to keep things good with her father's club and thinks a partnership with his would really help. They didn't expect more of their working together. If love wasn't dangerous enough, they have enemies too that are out to get them.
It is a good story with interesting characters. There is plenty of action and great chemistry between Rust and Jackie. If you enjoy MC romances, definitely check this one out.

Rust is an action-packed, romance filled with thrills, deceit, drugs, MCs, violence and a whole lot of danger.
Caught in the middle of a war between rival MCs over a crazy-awful drug, Rust and Jackie have to do everything they can to stay out of the line of fire. Rust is a dirty-talking, alpha male and Jackie is the perfect match for him.
Unfortunately, there was just too much going on. I couldn't keep things straight and go lost several times.
Overall, it wasn't bad, just too much to try and follow.

Oh Rust! He is everything you would expect in a biker. Jackie is tougher than you first think. The story is fast paced and keeps you involved. You think you know what will happen then Rust/Jackie comes up with a crazy idea that you did not see coming. It is almost like SOA meets Breaking Bad lol. There is a very HOT connection between the two of them and you can't help but hope for a good ending to their very nontraditional love story. I definitely recommend this book. It was a quick read because it was so fast paced I couldn't put it down.

I felt like I was missing something in this book like when you come into the middle of a movie and missed something important. Rust and Jackie were underdeveloped characters that I felt were missing something as well. I believe she stole the super soldier drug idea from the 2008 movie Max Payne. Only thing going for this book is that it is fast paced so a quick read. Received this ARC for free for an honest review.

I have to say these MC topic stories are new to me, never read it before this year and I haven't read that many yet. This one is quite interesting and had my full attention from start to the end. Besides all those expected wars and chaos going on through the story, my favorite part is the very last ending which brought Rust and Jackie back to the basic most natural life style. I am impressed!

This the third book in the Courage MC series, however it is stand alone some what. This is the story of Rust, a captain in the Courage MC and Jackie, the daughter of the current leader of Hell's Wheels. Jackie comes to Tust with a deal. That deal turns into an all out war between 3 clubs. While in the fight, these two fall in love. Will they get their HEA? You'll have to read it to find out. This is an action packed story. When Jackie, who has been brought up in the MC life, goes to meet a rival MC group in order to strike a deal with them, she meets Rust, and she get far more that she bargained for. No spoilers from me!!!!
If you are a lover of MC books like me, that are full of grief, rage, revenge, passion and love, then don’t let this one slip by you! Wonderful job Kara, and I look forward to reading more of your work in the future.

I didn't know this book was part of a "standalone" series, so I'm proof that it can be read as a standalone. I received it in exchange for an honest review. Rust and Jackie believe they are opposites, and not just from belonging to opposite crew's. She's trying to prove herself in a man's world, where he doesn't think a woman belongs. This book is hot, funny, action-packed, suspenseful...it's an MC novel! What happens when lines get crossed?

This was a quick read and I felt the story was a bit choppy and confusing to follow.
I didn’t connect with the characters which made it hard to feel anything for them.
The romance side is rushed and completely unbelievable. And I felt the sexy scenes were standard without feeling.
The story was overwrought with nuisance twists that really made less and less sense
Overall its an okay story I wouldn’t read it again and I wont be continuing on with the series.

What could have been a typical BB MC story was made much more interesting by Kara Hart. Rust and Jackie were an unlikely couple, but when there is smoke, it becomes a fire. Jackie is a super strong alpha woman and Rust is her match. I enjoyed the fast pace, twists and turns, and hot, hot steamy sex. They are not just ruled by lust, bur a genuine deep extraordinary connection. I was gifted an ARC for an honest review and have found another great author.

This is the first book I've read from Kara Hart and it is different from other MC books. Jackie is a kick ass woman who is basically running her father's club. Rust and her are great together and they go through a lot of crap to get where they are. Great story and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Rust by Kara Hart...This was a great entertaining book, it kept your attention. Kara know how to write a fast paced MC book, it was filled with lots action, suspense, hot sex and great characters. Rust and Jackie are hot with lots of chemistry. This was my first book by Kara and I can't wait for more. I was given a complimentary book for an honest review.

This was an okay read for me. I am a huge MC fan however the story felt a bit rushed to me, there was so much happening and because of it I had a hard time connecting with the characters. The chemistry between Rust and Jackie has plenty of steam which I liked. This is an action packed read, lots of drama and suspense. It was enjoyable.
