If you are a fan of Victorian detectives and adventurers or Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, than these anthologies are for you.

A wild variety of short stories, all with the common theme of featuring team ups between various Victorian/pulp characters with an emphasis on French heroes, PIS, villains and monsters.
Like any anthology there is a mix of so-so and brilliant stories, and the brilliant ones make you forgive the so-so ones.

'Two Hunters' and 'A day in the life of Madam Atomos' were a couple of my favorites.

and I would have given this volume a 4 star rating even if it didn't contain a short story I wrote.

Superb stories, with real leaps of imagination likes of which are avoided by authors nowadays like a plague. Recommended.
