I LOVED this book when I was a kid. I would read it over and over, making art out of geometry, learning how to make my own math puzzles, finding math in nature, discovering surprises and mysteries in different kinds numbers. It made math into a magical adventure in a way it has never quite been since. This book proves that math doesn't have to be dry and boring and hard, that it's only received that way because schools present it that way. A wonderful book, highly recommended. Appropriate for all reading levels, but try to give your kid this book before they're old enough to know that math is supposed to suck.
