This is the author's second book and I would say it is geared more toward middle school aged readers. This story has a lot of fantasy aspects, which will appeal to a child's imagination. I am not sure if I will purchase any more of his work merely for the fact that I normally do not read books geared to this age group. Despite being for a younger audience, it was a real cute story!
