Turning thirty is overrated. Who said you had to be married with a fabulous career and three kids? I had a great life. Single, freedom to do whatever I please, and best of all, stay home on a Friday night in my sweats, eating pizza while listening to the best of the ’80s.

I’m fine.

When a woman says she’s fine, she’s not fine. Zoey had it all. Stunning looks, ambi

I decided to read this book because it was free on Amazon. The blurb sounded like something I'd enjoy - friends to lovers is a favorite of mine. It was at times sweet and humorous. But overall I felt like the idea of this story was great, but the execution was off.

The heroine was extremely hard to like. She really had no redeeming qualities. And both MCs were pretty flat and one dimensional. You don't really get to see them as the great friends they claim to be as the story focuses more on them
This was a 3 star read until the last 80%....then it tanked. Almost like the author didn't know how to bring them together so she adds a 6 month separation to give them perspective. But that perspective...must've been all off page. They come back together for a funeral and admit they love each other but the timing isn't right. So it's followed by another separation of indeterminate time and no explanation of communication or interaction, she's just returning again and they do the whole ILY and f ...more

That's how I felt throughout this book.
Just meh.

While I do love a dual POV, I don't particularly enjoy reading the same scenes rewritten through the other MCs viewpoint. There was quite a bit of that in this book. And, I really wasn't impressed with the way this book wrapped up.

This started out so good! I loved the idea behind the story and am a huge fan of friends to lovers. If only the story had stayed on that track...

Somewhere along the line things shifted and I didn't really care for the way he acted. She was just as frustrating when she was considering taking back her cheating ex RIGHT after saying she wasn't an idiot and would never do that!

I hated that all the problems started with not saying what they were thinking right after they said to themselves

A cute premise... however, the execution fell flat for me. I was stuck at dr appts and such and only had this one loaded up on my kindle to read....otherwise, it probably would have been a DNF for me.

This book really needs a solid proofer/edit/copy reader, the errors detract from the enjoyment factor.

2 stars for me.

Zoey and Drew are roommates. Zoey picked Drew as her roomie because he was a geek and she didn't have to worry about ever falling for him. Fast forward 4 years, Drew and Zoey are in a comfortable roomie relationship. Zoey is struggling though, a painful break-up has left her a shadow of her former self. Drew, being a good roomie and friend, tries to help Zoey find her spark again. But, they just might stumble into something more, much more.

This book started off great! It made me laugh and I love

Zoe is looking for a new room mate. Her last one up'd and moved in with her boyfriend, and Zoe is left covering her unpaid rent. She's decided a guy for a room mate would have less drama. So she starts the interview process. But she's learned from her mistakes from past losers that she's been involved with and no matter how cute the guy is, she's looking for stable.

When nerdy, slightly overweight med student, Andrew Baldwin interviews Zoe decides to let the gorgeous guy she w

When Zoey first put out an ad for a roommate , she wanted a male as she needed someone who wouldn't cause a lot of drama. It came down to two contestants - Mr. Blue Eyes -Sex God Liam and Andrew - The Geeky Med Student. Zoey chose Andrew as she decided that there wouldn't be any chance of romantic feelings between the two. I have to admit , I did hope that we would have seen a bit more of Liam or at least a cameo later down the track in the book. The book then jumps five years in the future and

This is a new to me author and I am in love. I loved the story and her wording.
It’s the only thing I can think about, now that there’s this possibility of it being taken away from me. I want nothing more than to pee on that stick, see the two blue lines, and feel the pure joy that many women have told me they experienced. I want to attend an ultrasound, see and hear my baby’s first heartbeat. I want that first kick. To have weird cravings and eat pickles with ice cream at three-o’cloc

Roomie Wars is an roommate (ofcourse) story between Zoey and Drew. Their attraction to each other is definitely in the air. The 80's theme was great to read. I love the books of Kat. Her writing style is always unexpected and I'm looking forward to her next book.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting into with Roomie Wars. I thought I was going to get a funny romance, I was not expecting the emotional roller-coaster that Kat T. Masen took us on in this book!

We meet Zoey who’s on a search for a new roommate, and when she picks Andrew as her new roommate, she sees him as safe. Flash forward four years, and these two are best friends and inseparable. They have their rules/code and are each others person.

We have Zoey who is eccentric and prefers the 80's over present day. I can totally relate since I love the 90's. She has a roommate name Drew, who goes from geek to hottie!! The first few chapters of the story I really enjoyed but as the story progressed it just fell apart for me. I lost interest in reading. The back and forth was so annoying!! They have been best friends for 4 years and I understand they didn't want to cross the line but come on!! They were both attracted to each other yet didn

Zoey Richards is an architect looking for a roommate, she passes on the hottie for the nerd. Fast forward 4 yrs and now the nerd, Drew Baldwin, has transformed himself into a hottie, while she went from hottie to letting herself go after a bad break up.

What we get is chapter after chapter of two inept people afraid to realize their feelings, their attraction, their lust to one another. While this book held promise the annoying way these too acted to one another bored me, I struggled chapter to c

Roommate stories are on the tick list for me. It's my kind of book. This one was a little different from the usual because the sexual tension isn't there at the start. The main characters have lived together for a while. They already know each other bad habits.

Zoey is about to turn 30 and has fallen into a comfortable rut. Too much pizza, comfortable clothes and staying in have become normal.

Drew, on the other hand, has been a health fanatic. Good food and gym time has tran

Kat T. Masen has become one of my favorite authors.
I absolutely love her sarcastic heroines and her hotter than the depths of Hell alphas..

I am desperate for book two and will be back shortly to finish my review.

Roomie Wars is a #MustRead!

Wow this was an amazing book! I have not really ever dived into a roommate book for the simple fact it’s almost cliché on how the story plot will go. Not this time! Kat T. Masen has taken the whole roommates falling in love to a different level. This book has humor, suspense, duh moments, and romance. I swear a few times I just wanted to reach into this book and give both Drew and Zoey a smack in the back of their heads. Then when they finally did realize what was going on I wanted to give them ...more

Not my cup of tea

Well. I wanted to like this book and I did until drunken Drew entered the scene. Not only that but I didn't like Drew at all. He was short with Zoey, rude almost all the time, and so egotistical.
And Zoey. Talk about a woman lost. No idea what she wants. No idea who she even is.
These characters mimic real life and that's this books only saving grace.
I hated this couple and did not buy the relationship.

Started out with a cute premise but did not deliver.

DNF and skimmed.

This was frustrating and annoying to read! Both characters were stupid and the lack of communication between them was unnecessary and annoying. The female MC, Zoey, was stupid and petty. Nothing memorable about this book.

Awwww! This book was fucking adorable! I was smiling like a jackass for the last 30 minutes of reading it! Didn't care for all the unnecessary 80's movie and music references but to each their own.

Loved this story! From geek to stud... from roomies to lovers ..
Cannot wait to read more by this author
Sometimes it's easier to live with boys than girls...that is unless you end up falling for said boy. Zoey wants no drama, no stress, no nothing, just a roommate. When Drew walks through her door, awkward and shy and a little nerdy, she thinks perfect! They become best friends over the course of living together until feelings start to change.

This one was fun. Zoey was snarky and stuck in the 80's. Drew was her polar opposite yet they worked well together. As friends. When Zoey's ex appears, he st

I love a good friends to lovers romance and this one was really really good.
Zoey and Drew are the best of friends they have been living together for awhile now.
Their friendship with one another was comical, perfect really. I loved the interaction, the banter back and forth.
Zoey was a little bit over the top at times with her outburst and her mood swings, I chuckled at certain moments because I could totally see me have the outbursts she did.

I am so irritated!! This started off really well but then started heading South very quickly.
The roommates never admit to their feelings. Zoey up and leaves for a year. Then everything is all I love you's when she's back.
It just frustrated me so much. There could've been such an amazing love story but it just fizzled out. Pity

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

From the moment I read the blurb, I knew that I had to read Zoe and Drew's story. What intrigued me the most was that the hero is a man who has more brains then brawn...or at least it started out that way. Once I began reading, I knew that I was right to select Roomie Wars. Zoe and Drew were funny, the sexual tension was boiling hot, and they soon had me under their spell. They had me laughing at the roomie rules about leaving the toilet seat do

Roomie Wars was such a delightful surprise for me! I went into this book, not knowing too much about it and fell in love with it!!

Zoe is looking for a roommate. She is in a bind, because her last roommate up and left her. She is scrambling to find a new one and knows she needs someone who is reliable and not going to be a crazy person. It is hard to find a stranger to live with and get along with. This time she has decided to look for a male roommate. Zoe thinks this could be the answer
