Another great novel from Gilles Vincent, filled with suspense, action, and emotions. Three parallel stories take place in three areas of France all with the common denominator of vengeance and violence. A boy devoted in Islam, trained in Pakistan to take revenge on the western world, a man losing his job in a factory as the owner decides to move the factory elsewhere, and a woman trying to get revenge on a pedophile criminal from the past. All three stories start independently but as the story evolves Vincent manages to create a geometric swirl to draw all the main characters together to a common fate. In the process he manages to engage the reader to a breathtaking tornado of suspense and human emotions, while tackling issue of today's society, including the globalization and its effects on plain people, religious fundamentalism, and the marginalization of people.
Bottomline: A very fine read to finish in a one-go, that will make you think and leave with a sour taste at the end.
