You will definitely want to have plenty of allotted reading time before starting this one. It was hard to put down. I was so engrossed in the story that I put off many of my important things to do. C.T. Collier does a great job of creating a Mystery that keeps the reader invested and guessing.

Lyssa is a wonderful lead, she is fun to read about and easy to get behind as a lead character.

Lots of twists and turns and a wonderfully woven mystery.

This was a great read--the plot is well-developed, as are the characters. The pacing is such that it keeps you reading to find out what is going to find out next. It was also impressive that the characters are allowed to be human, with real flaws: alcoholism and recovery, panic attacks, irritation, intimidation, presumption, and arguing. There is also a fascinating group of supporting characters from the small college town where they live. Some of the action in the book seemed a little far-fetch ...more

Didn't Finish

I had to stop reading after a few chapters because I couldn't stand the husband constantly calling his wife "my love." Who does that?

I love C.T. Collier's novels. They are always so fun and so fresh. I have read so many of her novels and am still blown away with her ability to bring us characters who we care about time and again.

I loved that the author was able to balance a humorous moments and mystery all in this novel. Everything offsets each other perfectly.

I personally enjoyed the relationships forged with secondary characters as well.

C T Collier grew up in Seneca Falls, NY, left the area for college and jobs, and always wanted to return to the Finger Lakes. After careers in high tech (networking software) and education (teaching and learning with technology), she lives today in a beautiful small city on one of the prettiest of the Finger Lakes, not unlike fictional Tompkins Falls on lovely Chestnut Lake. Most days you’ll find ...more
