The number 13 is always something people are weary of... Alora Kate is not one of those people! In this new, amazing read she not only has an amazing story line... BUT.... She has 13 of the best characters in this twisty, topsy turvy, unexpected book! I have fallen in love with all of Alora Kate's books and this is another notch in her road to success! Mark this book and its new release date down! You wont want to miss this adventure!
When Alora told me about this book long before she finalized it, I told her she was evil! Tempting me with a new read from her? PFFT! Yup, I’ve read every one one of her other books and I’ve noticed as each new one comes out, her storytelling is stronger, more creative and awesome. She sent me a review copy of the book and she knew what was coming. Several times I’d stop reading and message her. I’d yell at her for making me cry, ask questions, yell some more, praise her, share little things I n ...more

I had the pleasure to read Alora Kate's newest novel, The Price We Pay. I have read all of Alora's books, and this one is by far, one of her best! Alora has grown as an author and was able to show off her skills in her newest novel.
In The Price We Pay, we follow the lives of multiple characters, each with their own unique personalities and storyline. However, Alora does such an amazing job intertwining these characters, and their multiple POVs allow the storyline to take shape and take the read

The Price We Pay is absolutely amazing. It is the first book I read with so many characters and it worked so well. And the feels. Omg, the feels are strong with this one. I ugly cried more than once. The scene with Harper, Randy, and Harry was unexpected and I loved it. The characters were so well written that you felt like you were there with them, enduring the pain, and the love. I was so happy when Sofia finally fell for Kenny and was proud of her for finally going off on her dad, it was exce ...more

Wow what a crazy story. Latch and Jaxon are 2 undercover agents trying to take down a notorious MC and save quite a few people in the process. This book has everything from a corrupt business mogul to an OCD MMA fighter to a drug addicted killer trying to make things right with a splash of hysterical gay men making killer margaritas wearing heels. If it's a high action page turner you're looking for you've found it. I would definitely recommend this book!

This was a very good read...definitely a bit different than what I have read recently so it took me a bit to really get into the story. However, once I did, I found myself unable to put it down..always wanting to find out what was happening next. I highly recommend this book :)

The Price We Pay by Alora Kate was very uniquely written, the novel revolves around nine peoples lives. Now an amateur would have confused the living daylights out of any reader, but not Alora. I Floved how she put this book together and just made it flow! At no point did the story confuse or disappoint in any way, even with each character having their own personalities and life issues. I laughed, cried and fell in love with each character. The authors voice was incredibly strong, the main chara ...more

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have read a few other books by Alora Kate. I do enjoy her writing style.

This novel was different from her other stories. We have a whole lot of people in this story, and their stories to read through. All the characters are their own person. All have their own story. All could have their own spin off stories.

Jaxon & Latch are two undercover agents, we are following, however, they are finding out they have more p

So I loved this romantic suspense thriller that a genre ?? Well anyway this action packed book leaves you on the edge of the seat as it pushes boundaries, delivers the unexpected and brilliantly builds tension and drama. The story follows the lives of several people who all interlink .. Think love actually or Valentine's Day but with way more action and suspense. This is the first book I have read by Alora Kate. At times reading this book was like a puzzle because of the thirteen different characters. Each of the characters had their own personality and story to tell. Alora Kate managed to piece each of the characters lives together as one unexpected event after another occurred.

Two undercover agents, Jaxon and Latch, are in the process of bringing down a crime ring when they encounter the first of the three women they would come to protect. One by one

I recently met (not personally) Alora Kate because of her PA who’s and Admin on another group that I am in. Luckily, I got the chance to be chosen as one of the few people to read the book in advance in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a sucker for mystery/crime/romance type of stories, which is much to my delight, is all available in **The Price We Pay**. This is the first time that I actually read a book with more than four POV’s. But it’s well written and will make you feel that it is actual

Mystery, love, drama, suspense, there is so much that will keep you locked into this book. 13 people, one house, one mystery, one missing person. The writing, the plot, the 13 characters all of this makes a perfect book. This book will leave you reeling from the action packed romantic suspense. This book leaves you wondering what just happened and how do I read more about it when it ends. This was a very well written story that had me from page one and did not let go at any point. This

I was given an early copy for an honest review....On a personal note, there is everything that we do has a price on it and we pay for it. This book was well written and I really enjoyed reading it. There are some really interesting parts of the book like Latch is working with the DEA, Drug Enforcement Administration and that Jaxon was working with the ATF, Alcohol, Tabacco and firearm Administration. WOW let me start by saying this book was really good. This is the first book by this author that I've read and I now have a new author to add to my list. I will definitely read more from her after reading this book because she knows how to write a story that you don't want to put down. I could relate a lot to Marv and easily fell in love with her. But the other characters were awesome and lovable too. I really liked how the story flowed and how everything came together. I love how this story mad ...more

When I first started this book...I was wondering ...why so many characters??... it is hard to pull off something like that....but Alora Kate did it, and did it well!! She brings each and every one of the characters to their own light...and you tend to like every single one of them.
Two detectives are working an operation to take a drug running MC gang down, and people just seem to be getting in the way... and for their own safety, they end up in a safe house all together. As we learn about each o

I received an ARC for my honest review.

The Price We Pay follows 13 characters -yes 13!, As their lives become intertwined together. This book is all go, non stop action and drama, with the added bonus of budding romances! Great story, you don't want to miss this one. So much happening you have to pay close attention so you don't miss anything.

Having read all of Alora Kate's works I feel this is her best yet, I can really see how much her writing has developed over the years with each book. This

ARC for honest review.

At first, looking at the chapter list i thought this book would be jumbled, confusing mess with all the character in it. But no, once i started reading i could not stop. Each character had their own quirks, brilliant personalities, insecurities, they felt real. You connect with them and feel like you know them personally. The storyline flowed perfectly, they all linked up better than i expected.

This story kept me gripped, on the edge of my seat throughout. Twists, turns, hi

My favorite thing about an Alora Kate book is her characters. I mean I love her story lines but her characters always stick out the most. She comes up with the best unbelievable yet totally amazing names for her characters. She gives them life through their names and makes each one unique. This one is told through multiple point of views and honestly it makes complete sense to have it told from all sides. Their is four couples and each different couples love story is inspiring and heartfelt. The ...more

The Price We Pay was a great action packed book that definitely kept me on my toes. I thought it would get confusing as it followed 13 characters, but Alora Kate is such a gifted writer that I had no problem following the story. The characters all have their own unique personalities and back stories and the book switches between their POV's. With suspense, drama, romance, sex, twists and turns, The Price We Pay was non-stop from the first page and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommen ...more

4 stars. I loved this book but then at some parts I got so confused because there was so much going on. So I'm so torn on this book. I liked the fact that there was different characters that got there own pov and their own time to shine. And that you got to hear from both the male and female pov from each couple. But I also feel that they each have more to give so maybe another book is to come but overall I loved all these characters and how they all interacted with each other and all came toget ...more

After all the five star reviews I could not wait to get started. The beginning I really enjoyed where we get to know the characters and the storyline but to me the rest of the book became very rushed and dare I say corny. The storyline is great and I think if it hadn't have felt so rushed and some places incomplete then I think I would have given the book 4-5 stars. This is only my opinion and I haven't elaborated to much as I don't want to give any clues away as I as a reader like to make my ow ...more

This is a romantic, suspense thriller that is full of action and drama that has you on the edge of the seat. The story takes you into the lives of several people who have all crossed paths for one reason or another. I really liked how the author has wrote this book with the perspectives from each of the characters and felt there is lots of room to do lots more with them. I loved the plot and found myself wanting the book to never end.

This was my first Alora Kate book and it had me hooked. I was heart broken when it ended because it was that good and a standalone. It was well written and easy to connect with. I enjoyed that as the characters interacted you were still able to get an idea of each one. This is one that I would read a million times over.

I received this book for a honest review.

This is a very unique book. In this story there is not just two main characters but multiple. They all have their own stories separate from the main storyline. There is one of my favorite reads so far. I would like to go into detail about this book but I'm afraid I would give to much away.

Alora Kate – Pen Name

There are many reasons why she chooses to use a Pen Name. She battled with the idea but in the end, it’s a dedication. Alora Kate is a dedication to someone special who left this world way too soon.

She doesn’t write to get rich, or famous. She does it because she loves it. If only ten people bought her
