Finally she gets to refrigerator and grabs that cake and RUNS back to her room right past all those scary creatures. However, there is a surprise waiting for her in her bedroom: a snake! She scrambles into bed leaving the cake on a shelf. Oh, well...
Children will love identifying what each of the "scary monsters" are. A great storytime read-aloud.
Picture book. This is a funny story about a defiant child who sneaks out of bed to get dessert but has several scary interactions with monsters in the house as she tries to make it back to her bed without being caught. Needless to say, she learned her lesson.
