Can someone say angst?! With a side of suspense. And a WHOLE LOTTA SEXY & HOTTTTT!! This is what you get with In Pieces by Danielle Pearl!! Let me tell you something, I read In Ruins last year and it was my #1 read of all of 2016. I loved it THAT MUCH. With that being said, I thought there was no way In Pieces was going to come close. I WAS DEAD WRONG!!

I love a good college read, filled with angst and suspense! All the ups and downs, twists and turns!! I love flashbacks into childhood. It’s a gr

Danielle Pearl has such a way when she writes her young coming of age romances. She has a gift to bring the angst and with her new book, In Pieces,  she also adds a bit of suspense.

This is one one of those seemingly forbidden romances with the older brother's  best friend but there is so much more than the typical crush come true. Beth Caplan had her heart crushed when her high school love left her with a simple note. With promises broken she barley

I'm so freaking proud of this book, you guys! It was not only chosen by Amazon's editorial team as one of the "Best Books of October", but also as one of the "Best Romances of 2017"!

If you like brother's-best-friend or friends-to-lovers romances, this one is definitely for you. But don't get me wrong, In Pieces is an entirely unique, poignant story about survival, family, loss, and, of course, an EPIC love.

I hope you all enjoy reading about Beth and David as much as I loved writing their story

Beth Caplan sees college as her chance to start over, to make something of herself beyond what her family sees her as. She's more than the depressed little kid that they picture her as, she left that behind three years ago, but no one else has. College is supposed to be a time of learning, growing, and having fun, but her brother's best friend is making that nearly impossible. Not only is he her first, and oldest, crush, but he takes overprotective just a ste

A meticulous heartfelt romance that showcased Danielle Pearl’s ability to create a story that packed an emotional punch that was poignant, beautiful, and endearing. In Pieces completely took me by surprised in a good way. The New Adult genre is either a hit or miss with me especially since I find college themed romance pretty much standard. But in this book, Pearl treated her readers to a story that was more than romance. It was a story o

Holy angst batman! This book has alllllllll the feels! In Pieces sucks you right in, and keeps you there. I love books with flashbacks, and all of Danielle Pearl's books I've read have them, and this one didn't disappoint either. I love getting to know the characters and what makes them tick, how they got that way and why, and I love watching as the author throws them into impossible situations and forces them to work their way through them. This story is all about survival and embracing who you ...more

Danielle Pearl once again left me in Pieces with her take on best friend's sister romance. Utterly devastating, off-limits and scorchingly intense, In Pieces is an emotional roller coaster ride from the first page to the last! I just couldn't get enough of this remarkably heart-wrenching series.

After a glimpse of David and Beth in In Ruins, I just know from the bottom of my heart that their story would be heartbreaking and phenomenal, much like Car and Tucker's story. Knowing Danie

These books keep getting better and better! I absolutely loved Beth from the first moment we met her in Normal, and I was really excited to finally learn the details of her backstory in this instalment in the series. The romance between Beth and David is quite sweet, and there is an intriguing suspense plot interwoven throughout that made this a solid four star read.
Also: Apparently there is going to be a new book in January 2021? Brody and Layla? I'm beyond excited! I never would have thought L
Off-the-charts chemistry. I also have a soft spot with love stories between childhood crushes. Lots going on here but Pearl handled it very well. If sleeping on a Sunday night wasn't such a necessity, I would have read straight through.

When I had the chance to review this book, I didn't hesitate to take it. I have heard so many good things about Danielle Pearl, so I was excited to see what she could bring in this college romance!

After feeling utterly broken three years ago, Beth's family has treated her like a fragile doll who could collapse at any moment. Now, Beth's in college and finally able to live on her own. Enjoying the freedom, Beth isn't too happy when her brother's best friend, David, decides to be her own personal

Sam has always been one of my favorite book boyfriends. From the very first time I read Normal. Well I still love Sam don't get me wrong. But, yes I sad BUT, I hadn't gotten to know David yet. And I'm so glad I know him!!! And Beth, I know we didn't know her too well but I've had a soft spot for her since we've met her. And now, now it's time to dive in!!

Beth, she's got a lot going on in her brain. I don't want to go too much into anything but she just has a lot going on. David, he's Sam's best

I'm sporting a giddy, giggly smile from an ending I called but still had to cling to hope would happen. But not all my predictions were accurate...can't tell you which.

This was my first Danielle Pearl book and I look forward to catching up. I think Sammy might need a chill pill though. Anyone can understand but dude, brother's best friend is major hottie points. lol. Guys don't mind the sister's best friend, but once your sister thinks about your friend all bets are off. Too bad!

As always with a Danielle Pearl book, you just know you’re about to read something special and In Pieces was no different. Right from the beginning, I was swept away by Danielle’s writing and the magic of the story.

Although not connected to In Ruins, which I adored, In Pieces has the same emotional and captivating feel to it.

I loved In Ruins, even as it broke my heart, so I was not surprised on how much I enjoyed In Pieces by Danielle Pearl. This was a great coming of age story with angst, romance, older brother’s best friend and a bit of suspense. You will be captivated from start to finish.

Beth Caplan was left in pieces when she was fifteen. All everybody wanted to do after was protect her and keep her safe. It took her a long time to heal and find herself, but college is a fresh start for her and she could not b

I've heard Danielle's words were unequivocally moving, but I never expected the emotions they would evoke from me. The subject matter in this story is tough, a subject most shy away from, but Danielle deals with them flawlessly.

I don't want to go into too much detail in regards to the story--I went in not knowing much and was completely blown away by both the story and Danielle's words. Just know you'll meet strength in the form of Beth, and unconditional love in the form of David. Two beau

Holy Bits!! This book is on another level of perfect. First I got Rory and Sam, then Carl and Tucker, and now Beth and David. Ugh I just love how she calls him David!! Beth is such a strong character. She had me crying for her since chapter 1. How could she endure so much at the age of 15? David always there for her waiting to pick her up, had my heart hurting for him as well. David pissed me off so much trying to deny himself happiness and second guessing himself, but at the same time this help ...more

In Pieces by Danielle Pearl is a new adult college romance that follows the story of Beth (Bits) Caplan and David March. David is Beth's older brother's best friend, and she has had a secret crush on him for as long as she could remember. David has gone from being the town rebel/class clown to the college frat hunk, and when Beth starts her freshman year at the sane school, her brother asks his buddy to keep an eye on her, but that isn't easy t

Wow Danielle did it again.
This book had it all, angst, heartache, drama, swoon.
I couldn't stop reading it. My kindle may have hit my face because I Could.Not.Stop.
This book is a stand alone but in my personal opinion you should start from the beginning with Normal. Or make sure you one click this read it and then go back.
I loved the two main characters "Bea" and David ❤
I'm hoping to see more of Brody as well.

Wow. Just wow. Danielle Pearl never fails to rip my heart out with her words. Beth and David have known each other their whole lives, but despite a mutual attraction, there was always plenty keeping them apart, that is until now. In this slow burn, friends to lovers story, Beth and her older brother's best friend face trial after trial, slowly coming together until they pretty much explode! It's all angst and heat, and twist after twist, and I never saw them coming! Bravo!
