Mrs. Lund was an angel. I love dessert and I feel like something is missing in my day if I don't get it and Mrs. Lund has given me SUCH hope. I was involved for 13 years with a different weight loss program that did not eliminate any foods including high-fat favorites; it just encouraged portion control. It was wonderful however after 13 years I felt condemned and unworthy for dessert at times. Long story short I had a total fallout with the program. I was so happy to remember hearing Mrs. Lund on Dr. Dobson's program back in 1998 and discover she had a whole series of books and her, in essence, giving me permission to eat dessert every night. I can not follow a program that says absolutely no sweets; I don't think anyone can follow that! The thing you can't have will be just the thing you want. I CAN follow a program that gives other alternatives to the fatty desserts! If there are no alternatives, it is like telling your child don't jump on the bed, period. They won't know what to do! But if you give them an alternative: you CAN jump on a trampuleen, then they'll be satisfied! Same with dessert!

I hate it that she died; makes you feel like you lost a best friend, but I am so delighted she left behind this legacy. I feel like we are friends in spirit although we never met:)
