Way too short to develop any real feelings between these men and the sex was impersonal because of it. The most disappointing part is that these were fascinating characters and if the story was more fleshed out, this could have been a great book. Oh well...

Can't recommend.

Another hot book in this Kindle World with Dallas as background. Featuring Bdsm and M/M romance. Austin is a hot chef who cooks for the local fire fighters and a hot FBI agent looking for a serial killer. Lots of action and hot characters.

The blurb for this one intrigued me immediately. This book is actually part of two series, Durston’s A Steel Door series, and the larger Dallas Fire & Rescue series that will feature multiple authors, but there’s no need for you to have read any of the other ones as it works completely fine on its own.
So there’s two major plot lines going on here. First there’s the romance and Conrad and Austin finding a D/s relationship that works. Austin has been frustrated

If You Can't Take The Heat: Excellent love story! Loved how it was written around cooking, fire department and hot men. Excellent writing and storytelling! Loved the emotions throughout the story. Great suspense.

Okay, I liked the bones of the story, but didn’t get the fact that these FBI agents would just sprout out the case to a perfect stranger while driver said stranger, okay at that point they had, had dinner, and on there way to a BDSM club.

That’s just one example of why I couldn’t get into the grove of this book, several little things that left me scratching my head and saying huh, really?

However, to make up for it. I loved Austin, the undying commitment he has to the Firefighters and paramedics t

Just as exciting as the first book.

This second book in the Steel Door series is just as exciting as the first book, the Bind That Ties. Thianna Durston has written a fast paced thriller that brings Austen and Conrad together in a mutually enjoyable BDSM relationship.
Conrad is the only Dom who has taken the time and an interest in doing scenes with Austen that take into consideration Austen's physical limitations with his weakened leg. They are a perfect match.
I hope there will be more stories i

This is my second favorite story in the DFR Kindle World. I was a little apprehensive about the BDSM club, but the story was pretty well written. The men were hot and likable. We have Austin, a chef who wanted to be a firefighter until his leg was injured. He repays the men of the firehouse by cooking for them once a month. This is where he meets the FBI agent tracking a serial killer. The story is gripping. The bad guy is so creepy. I'd look for more books by this author.

Although this is the second book in the steel door series it can easily be read as a standalone. Austin and Conrad story is full of heat and suspense. It's a well written book that combines M/M romance and BDSM. Well that's a short story the twists and turns keep going thoroughly engaged and enthralled right to the very end.
