*Disclaimer: Please keep in mind this is the final book of the trilogy following Carter and Patty. I highly recommend these books be read in order to fully experience their relationship so you can follow along on their journey towards a future together.

Carter and Patty, while deeply in love, haven't had the easiest of times getting to this point. What started out so innocently, with her Dad asking Carter's Dad to see if his son would watch over Patty at the lake house, has since become more tha

This is book 3 and picks up right when book two ends and I think this is my favorite one so far! All Patty and Carter want to do is have a nice and peaceful life but it keeps getting messed up. This book was emotional for me and had a lot of feels to it, anger, fear, happy and there are some hot scenes too. This series is a must read.

I'm not sure what it was, but I just never really connected with these characters through this series, they never really got deep enough for me to feel like I "knew" them. Some of their issues were taken care of a little too quickly, and yes I'm going to say it, sometimes there was a little too much sex. Good story line, just not sure what it was lacking.

Tears and goosebumps

Man I got tears and goosebumps in that last scene in the book. A fantastic book with tons of heat. I loved them so much and the suspense in each book makes you wonder what will happen to them next. Loved it

Forever my Soldier is the third and installment in the Love Conquers Life series. It is a continuation of Carter and Patty’s story.

After having to deal with the manipulation and a terrible rough patch in the last book, Patty and Carter are finally on the mend. However, there continue to be obstacles in the relationship, such as Patty’s job, the PTSD that Carter’s suffers from, a meddling mother, and the ex-boyfriend, now stalker, Ben. This relationship keeps getting pounded with doubt and obstac

As I start all my reviews a good book will make you laugh, cry, want to throw it across the room, and lastly not be able to put it down. Well, the amazing Alison Mello has done it yet again and then some. I could not put this book down. Alison has a wonderful way with words that makes you fall in love with the characters. This book was steamy and hot all along with all drama of everything going on around Patty and Carter their relationship never fades. I am sad to see this is the end of their st ...more

First off I was dreading reading this book, I am not ready to let Carter and Patty go yet, lol
In just 3 books we have seen these 2 completely grow and change for the better. Patty finally stands up to her over bearing mother and gets her life back, and Carter finally learns to deal with his PTSD. But the heart of these books has always been the love that Carter and Patty have for each other, no matter what happens these 2 always found their way back to each other, sometimes it was a slight misun

This is one that I got through quite quickly. I had read the first two so looked forward to this one to see what direction it would go in. This is one that really centers on Patty and Carter with the direction they go in with the others right with them. Her best friend is not far behind with things wrapping up and a few new things crop up. Drama still enters in affecting Patty but it seems she is becoming a pro at handling issues. Carter will shine also in this one with all that he puts into a e ...more

What an amazing series I was able to share in the joys and pains of Carter and Patty. I have said before that Ms Mello does an amazing job of pointing out some of the challenges faced by our Veterans and their families. Not only is PTSD a serious and sometime debilitating condition to some there are many repercussions to family and friends as well.
In this the final book in the Love Conquers Life series we see the results of Ben and his crazy and a tying up of loose ends. The story comes together

I absolutely love these books and i am glad to have read this last book in the series of Carter and Pattys story. A beautiful story very romantic and well written and not a typo mistake in sight
Carter's story is of his ptsd from his days in the army it's an insight into how he dealt with nightmares and his army tours also how he found strength to come through his own issues to help others of course I think with pattys help
As Patty is an author and struggling with her own demons mostly from her

Yep. That's it.

Amazing ending to Patty and Carters story, I loved it. It has you in knots wondering if something is going to happen because everything seems to go so well until it doesn't.

I will say Sandra made me think differently about her character and who she is as a mother. Finally, she has seen her ways and is trying to fix them and finally we see a change.

Going in blind to the series was a question I asked myself half way through the second book because it almost seeme

Carter and Patty have not had an easy relationship. Carter is slowly recovering from his PTSD and his bout with alcohol. Patty is still being hunted by the media due to her involvement with Ben and his subsequent death. When an outing for Carters charity turns into a media circus, Patty thinks she and Carter will never be left alone. Add in planning a wedding and Patty is being pulled in 100 different directions.

This series has totally pulled me in. Crazy mothers machinations, an ex boyfriend wh

This is the third book in the trilogy, and I am absolutely gutted it is over. I have loved all of the books in this series, and Alison has kept me enthralled from the very beginning.
Congrats to Alison for an amazing job in writing Patricia and Carter’s story. Although sad to be at the end, I am looking forward to reading the next story that is brought to us.
I highly recommend this author’s work to all readers!

The story continues. Carter and Patty's character have to deal with a lot in the first two books. I loved the way this book concluded their story with them getting their HEA. Although I hope to see some of them in the next book. This really is a sweet, heartwarming story of true love. I Highly Recommend this series. I can't wait for the next book. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Carter and Patty make a wonderful couple. I have really enjoyed reading this whole series, and with this book being the final book in the series, Alison Mello does a great job with the ending. There is some sizzling hot times between Carter and Patty, as well as some really sweet times. I received this book in return for an honest review, and it is a wonderful story.

Absolutely amazing ! This is book three in the trillogy, while I hate to see it come to an end I am thrilled with this last book.

Mello continues to bring us fantastic books that quickly become near addictive. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us next.

4.25 Stars! I did enjoy this series and really liked how the author wove in serious topics with the sweet romance. What drama for poor Patty and Carter. Now we have Bella and Derek's story to look forward to...full review coming on The Smut-Brarians.

Good way to end

It was a sweet story. Everyone needs a soldier to watch over them. Sex scenes need a little more variety.

This book was pretty unnecessary. This book and number 2 could of been combined and all the negative of this book would of been missed since it was practically a repeat.
