The book follows a minor character from book one, and shows how he ends up at the same point where book one ended.
We learn more about the Taint, Wielders and how this complicated, prejudiced world works. August starts off as a happy bar owner, but through circumstances beyond his control, he finds himself being indoctrinated into a male wielder cult. He thinks he can handle it, can keep himself apart and just observe and report. Gradually he's pulled in until telling right from wrong becomes blu

Review by The Blogger Girls.

This is book 2, but it takes place over the same time period as book 1, Edge of Desperation. While it could be read first, I think you get a better understanding of what is going on in this world if you start with book 1.

Because this story takes place during the same time period, we generally know what happens here. But, this is the story of August, the man who was undercover in the cult, so we get to see his side of things and how he ended up helping in the fight aga

Center of Deception is one of those books that you just can’t put down. I read the whole thing in one sitting, and I rarely do that with any book. The plot moved so quickly that I couldn’t bear to leave the rest of my reading for later. The book gives you great insight into the inner workings of a typical cult. I thought the characters were each compelling in their own distinct way. By the end of the book you care about what happens to them and whether they will come out on top.

Center of Deception is the second book in the Wielder World series by Nat Kennedy. This gay Urban Fantasy story tells the story of August who we were introduced to in the first book. I really like this installment of the series.. I found it had a sense of humor to it... along with danger, and suspense. It was great to see the events at the end of the first book from a different view. I am really excited for the third book in series after reading the first two.

I received an advanced reader's cop

I received a free copy of Center of Deception in exchange for an honest review.

Center of Deception is the second novella in the series and this was evident from the very beginning. The way characters were spoken about and introduced suggested that the reader was assumed to have a level or prior knowledge about them. Center of Deception was described as being able to be read as a stand-alone story; I haven't read the first in the series and completely disagree with this suggestion. After a nearly

Men, Magic, Amore

Nat Kennedy grew up living in a poorly populated desert landscape. With no neighbors in a 1 mile radius, she had to make up her own fun.

Nat strives to create plotty and imaginative fantasy worlds, with the added benefit of gay romance--steamy to tame. From couples to threesomes, including fantasy races, love abounds.
