Mossy Creek #5

A Day in Mossy Creek

Rate this book
Maybe it's the post-New Year's boredom. Maybe it's the cold, frisky air. Whatever the cause, the citizens of Mossy Creek seem determined to get into trouble on a clear winter day in mid-January. Police Chief Amos Royden and his loyal officers, Mutt and Sandy, can barely keep up with the calls. Hank and Casey Blackshear's great aunt Irene, 93, leads a protest march of angry old folks - on their electric scooters. Louise and Charlie Sawyer battle renovation pitfalls (literally) in their cranky house. Pearl Quinlan fights her sister, Spiva, over a plate of brownies. Patty Campbell performs a makeover on Orville Gene Simpson's front yard, against Orville's will. All that and more! Last, but not least, Amos and Ida finally stop fighting their secret attraction, but then the trouble really begins!

I've been Bing reading this series all week. I totally invested in the characters and can barely wait to get started on Book 6. This is a short review from a Southern "Lady" on a subject dear to her heart - Small Southern towns but I gave much longer reviews on 1-4 books and I'm simply to eager to start book 5 to tell you what she already been apparent - I love the books and expect to continue bing reading tell I get to the last one! Can you give a better recommendation than that? Excuse any typo's etc as I didn't proof this before hitting SUBMIT this time

I happen to pick the first one up at the library and now am on book 5.( There's at least 7) Each book is a series of short stories based on the lives of the residents of Mossy Creek, Georgia. Mossy Creek welcome signs says "Ain't goin nowhere and don't want to" Great easy reads but as the character continue throughout the series start with book #1 Mossy Creek

I am reading this on Kindle, don't know what page. I have really enjoyed all of these books, and plan to read the rest in the series. Quaint, light reading about a small town in Georgia with all of the "southern" traditions and blessings/perils of small town life.

I like the book. Hell, I like the series! I'd love to own them simply so I could read them over again. The gaps in getting them ILL is horrendous.

I wouldn't mind living in a town like Mossy Creek. Fun happenings, fun neighbors, cute fellers . . . all the things I daydream about. *chuckles*
