Beau Remington has built a good life for himself. He's worked hard to make his real estate company a success. He owns one of the nicest houses in town and comes from one of the most well-respected families in Paradise Valley. It's not that he isn't close to his family, it's just that he's never felt he quite belonged in the same way his brothers do.
Over the last few months he's enjoyed seeing his brothers meet some amazing women and settle down. He believes he'll do the same, some day. He just hasn't met the right woman yet. What he isn't expecting is that a chance encounter in the wine store will bring that someday a lot sooner--or that the right woman will have a five-year-old daughter in tow!
Corinne Watson has accepted a job at the Remington Guest Ranch. It's a chance for her and her daughter Ruby to make a new start in life. She's not looking for a man--dating can be too complicated for a single mom. She's certainly attracted to Beau Remington, but how could she go out with a guy who doesn't like kids, and especially her daughter?
Beau has a lot to learn about family, and with a little help from Ruby he's about to learn fast.
This book is intended for adult readers aged 18+ *************************************** Each Remington Ranch Romance can be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers here! Each book contains one couple's story.
Hi, I'm SJ. A coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.
I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.
I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.
These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
Just when you think it can’t get any better, SJ McCoy knocks another one out of the park!!! In the books leading up to Beau’s story I was pretty sure I would not get on with him, however, after watching him develop and change throughout the course of this book I am converted. His initial harsh attitude gets gradually subdued as Corrine and Ruby steal his heart. We first met Ruby in Carter’s story and as much as she loved Beau, he was what you would probably call ‘not child friendly’. After a chance meeting with her mother, and discussing his feeling towards Ruby she obviously got her back up. At this point he realises that Corrinne is the mother of the little terror!! Big oops! Now Corrine has accepted a job on the Remington’s ranch, she knows that seeing Beau on a regular basis is going to be an issue. Even she can’t deny the pull she feels when this guy is around. She knows it, and Beau knows it too (as does everyone else around them). After a lot of back and forth, explanations from friends and Beau himself, Corrine comes around and agrees to take it slowly. Ruby, a little treasure, still tests Beau, but he is now ‘her Beau’ and the bond between them is totally unbreakable. Corrinne can’t resist how cute the pair are and let’s down her guard. As a single mother, her sole goal is to protect Ruby from anything that may cause her pain, physically or emotionally. By the end everyone is eating out the palm of the little terror’s hands leaving Corrinne feeling freer than ever before to go after what she wants. An amazing book, really looking forward to seeing Guy get his just desserts in a future book, it as to happen! If I say it enough, it may well come true ;-)
Never disappointed in a book by SJ McKoy, the Remington series will leave you longing for a cowboy of your own! I just may have to go to Montana and find me a Beau! This was a great book , my FAVORITE part is the education a grown man gets from child , Ruby certainly teaches this man how special a relationship can be ! Love Beau and all the other Remingtons , A must read !!!
I really enjoyed this book, I have to say though I did have a tear or two and a few laughs. I was pulled in to the story right from the start, as I have stated previously I love all the Remington boys including chance, but I still have a slight soft spot for Carter and Beau it right up with him. This book is to full! emotions you can feel with each and every turn of the pages. So worth reading, highly recommend this book and this series. SJ McCoy I didn't think I would ever cry at a cowboy book but you managed it. I am so looking forward to reading book 5. Still thinking I need to move to Montana and find myself a cowboy.
I just loved this one too! I absolutely adore Ruby! Her and her Beau are Adorable together! So glad beau developed into a better person by allowing love to open his heart more! Can hardly wait for all the weddings!!!!
Beau had a reputation of being a real scrooge. I would said that from this series book 1 was originally my favorite. But now that I read this book, this is my new favorite. This book should be called "My Beau + My Pumpkin" book. I loved Ruby. This is one of those characters that will stay with you forever. At first, Beau called Ruby " The Monster" When he finally got to know Ruby, she became his pumpkin. Awww Ruby called Beau: "My Beau" Corinne was a little leery of Beau. As a single mother, Ruby was part of the package. She would never think of dating someone who did not like Ruby. I am convinced that Ruby is the one that made Beau fall in love with her mother. They made the perfect family. So sweet.
Oh, I want a Beau. He was a tough no-nonsense man but he really was a softie with a big heart. Corinne was new to town just recently hired as a lodge manager. Beau's brother Shane was the owner of the lodge which was on the ranch owned by the Remington family. Beau heard her voice and fell in love and when he saw her, well let me say he was in deep trouble and he knew it. She had a five-year-old daughter which caused him lots of doubt about a relationship with Corinne. He opened his mouth and inserted his foot and that did not bode well for him and her. He liked to be in control and somewhat demanding but he needed to change how he acted to find the love he wanted. Their discovery of each other is heartwarming. I highly recommend Beau by S. J. McCoy.
I enjoyed this book a little more than I thought I would. I was really not interested in Beau's character. From meeting him in the other books he was cold and not as open and friendly as the other brothers. But after he met Corinne and started to melt under Rudy's charm I began to enjoy his character.
This book wraps up a few things but the most important is the relationship between Beau and Ruby as well as Beau and Chance.
I am looking forward to the next book about the weddings. Also, I believe what comes around, goes around and it's time for Guy to get his comeupance. I'm looking forward to the brothers getting Guy back for all the problems he has caused.
## Another enjoyable story about a Remington brother. This is Beau's story. He and Corinne had great chemistry. I'm glad the author let them have so much fun together. I have to say, if a man had said all those terrible things about my kid, I'd have never given him the time of day. But I'm glad Corinne did. It was great to watch Beau evolve into a much kinder, more open, more considerate man. And thank you to the author for not portraying him as a player. Boy that gets old. Well done. Well done indeed.
This book had so many good reviews, I figured I'd pick it up. But, life too short. There are so many other books I want to read. The kicker with this one (I got to ~15%) was that Beau 1. is single and LOVES wine, with cheese. I don't know, that just sort of turned me off - not the single part, but the craving wine/cheese vs. beer or liquor. and 2. He's kind of an ass - telling someone he just met that that the kid in the background will make you NOT want to have kids. I mean, who says that to a stranger?! Onto the next book.
Beau hears Corinne’s voice in the wine shop and is instantly attracted to her, when he finally sees her. The attraction is mutual. Then, he sticks his foot in his mouth when he’s talking about Ruby and says she gives kids a bad name. He didn’t know that Corinne is her mother, lol. I love a single mom read and I’m so happy that Beau got his own book. I have loved all the Remington brothers and Beau is no exception. I can’t wait to read the three books about Chance.
I started reading this series with the Summer Lake box set books 1-3)..... After I finished I kept readingthrough the series... Each story is its own standalone HEA, but then they ALL blend together and go SO well together. I've read through them all-(not just this series!), you will do the same!! I CANNOT wait for SJ's next book!!!
Not my favourite book of the series. Beau has felt like an outcast of his family for years with heavy resentment felt for Chance whom Beau's father took under his wing after he came out of prison. Chance isn't blood but Beau's father treats him like he is, even giving him a piece of the ranch. Then Beau meets Corinne and all of a sudden all is well and forgiven? Too easy. Looking forward to the next book in the series though.

So beau tough on the outside totally teddy bear inside. I love cowboys and this series is just amazing. SJ McCoy puts all her heart and emotions into her books and it shows. Beau is the last brother to get his story told and was defiantly well worth the wait. Grab your tissues and chocolate and meet beau and Corrine for yourself you won’t regret it
This one of my favorite series.. I can't possibly pick any one of these books that is any better than the others.. I will recommend this series and all ones by this author to whomever will listen! 😊
I loved this book and Beau and Corrine. The romance between them was very well written and the rest of the family members are so well developed that you are interested in everything they are involved in.
I love this series as much as Summer Lake. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Beau at the beginning, but I absolutely love him. Corinne is a great fit and Ruby adds some sassiness. One more to go.
Someone asked me about my favorite book boyfriend... I had to think about it, but I ended up with Beau. Even if he wasn't my favorite when I started reading the Remington ranch series, he ended up as my favorite, even after reading many, many more books!
Corrinne and Beau help each other to learn and love and trust and most of all about family! Beau learns who he really is and let’s go off the past. And Corrinne learns to trust.
This to me has been the best of the series. Beau, a man who has locked his heart to every one learns from a sweet 5 yr old how to unlock it. This book is very heart warming. Encourage everyone to read it.
Great romance between Beau and Corrinne and musn't forget Ruby. This is part of a series but each book can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed every minute of this book and hated for it to end..
Another great book in a great series by SJ McCoy. I loved Beau's and Corinne's story. I've enjoyed all of these books and can't wait to read about the weddings.
