Clearly written with lots of advice for driving the highway that you wouldn't get in a tourist book or the Milepost. Mr. Dalby & family have clearly made the trip dozens of times and their advice is well-heeded.

His cheerful suggestion to drive up to roadside glaciers and chip some ice for the cooler is clearly generational, however.

Good for anyone wanting to drive the Alaskan highway, more personal memoir than travel guide.

There are a lot of things that go into making a trip like what is described in this book. Many things I would have never thought of. It is a trip I plan on making in the 5 years or so. Compact information and not too much wool gather but a great guide into getting your head around this trip and contact info for places you might want to go. Good read.
