Published in 2009, this short story collection gives the feel of reading a classic. The writing style and characters build up was very nice.

Themes are like - politician's game to save his criminal son; inferiority complex in a kid; grief of an old man on his wife's departure; daughter suffering domestic violence and father regretting his own days when he inflicted the same; disowned father of NRI sons; bitter sweet love story of a quarrelling old couple; mother and daughter falling for the same guy; a backward class student's frustration on reservation system.

All of the stories are family relations based, and most of them are grim. A couple of them multi layered and a couple of stories deep in emotions touching my heart.

Overall a nice package. Recommended if you like reading such themes.
