Broken Compass is a spinoff within the Supernatural Prison World. Told in dual POVs from Maximus Compass and Mischa Lebron. This is full length and standalone. You do not need to read the Supernatural Prison trilogy first.

Maximus Compass is a vampire without direction. Without heart. And without soul. He lost his true mate in the great battle against the dragon king, and n

I love Maximus, but I just can't stand Mischa, so I'm gonna have to say pass :(

I really really wanted to love this. Like really love it. Kept reading all these reviews about how at the end of this book I was going to loooooove Mischa.

I don't hate her. Which is progress. But I seriously don't like Max anymore - not so much progress.

As other reviewers have noted, Eve tried her best to give Mischa redemption for her behavior in the past two books but all she really ended up doing was cheapening the mate bond and making mated women look weak. And she made Max

Oh Bloody Hell!! I friggen knew it! *HAPPY DANCE* WOOT WOOT!!! He finally pulled his head out of *whistles* and did what he needed to and finally realized what was right in front of him.
I didn’t like Mischa from day one. There was something off putting about her in the books and I was about ready to strangle her, but I thought I would give her one more chance. I mean come on love sick puppy much…….. And boy was I so wrong about her. I didn’t realize what was happening and now I wish I could tell

To be honest, I never really cared for Max and Mischa while reading the Supernatural Prison series, so mostly I picked this cause,

1) Jaymin Eve. Duh.
2) Cameo appearances by Jessa, Braxton and Louis.

But you know, I'm kinda glad I picked this up. I'm very happy with how the story was plot out. Everything was interconnected and satisfactorily explored.
Mischa wasn't as whiny, annoying as before and surprisingly I'm actually pretty proud of this mama wolf.

My soul literally howls for Louis!

Wasn't feeling it

I just wasn't feeling this one. Not sure why, but maybe it's the fact that even before the forced mating, Max never showed any inkling of real feelings for Meischa. Either they slept together and he still ran off with another girl before the fake bond was in place or they slept together after the fake bond. Neither strikes me as bonded behavior. If she was feeling the bond, then he should have been too. He just always struck me as emotionless where she was concerned. Pretty sure

So as usual I could not put this book down. I don't know how Jaymin took a character like Mischa who was weak, frustrating and annoying into someone who was strong, funny and capable? I'm sorry but I'm not sorry that I am 100% team Mischa now. I was glad that there was some of Jessa and Braxton, who knew they were such great supporting characters. They did not overpower the story they made it better. This was definitely a Max and Mischa story, but with all my favorite supes involved. I love Max ...more
I don't get how this Got so Many 5 Stars review. 'Cause this is honestly not a 5 Star book, it's also not a 4 Star book. It's a 3 Star book and if you are a bit tough it's a 2,5 Star book.

I loved the other books in this series. But, when the previous book turned out to be a Rather huge succes it was because of the awesome heroine, the connection and description of the Compass-brothers and the plot. All things this book was missing. This was more Like a Novel than a book in the series. I Think y

First off: I hated Mischa, I didn't trust her or like her, Well, Now that I've been inside her head, I like her and pretty much love her to bits, and that is a hard thing to do, get me to change my feelings about a character, anyway that's all I'm saying to that degree No spoilers.

Second: This is yet another amazing must read, can be read as a stand alone, or as a continued journey for our beloved crew. Either way you will enjoy the masterful weaving of this tale.

Third and last: Thank you Jaym

okay i gave in and read it, its 2.5 STARS people!
i hate it when the plot twists are so convenient (with a capital C) for the author when they just want to move along with the story and give it an HEA. hate mischa! dear author you made her into a character people didn't like so atleast be consistent with your characters(mischa's) traits, and maybe gradually develop the story from there, instead you just made it a big ole misunderstanding, poor mischa misunderstood by Everyone!...and for the rest

I had the ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE fortune to have the opportunity to BETA read for this book. Yes, you should be incredibly jealous if you are fans of the Compass Quads and the Supernatural Prison series. Why? Because it's phenomenal.
First off, take all the knowledge and judgments you have of Mischa. Got it? The fact that she was kind of a snooty bitch, that she betrayed everyone and your resentment of her? All that stuff. Take it...wrap it in a little ball and shove it in your mouth and eat those w

This one had potential - just didn't do it for me. I am currently reading a book in another series as it contains the backstory. Would reading it prior to this one make a difference? So far - no.

I loved The Supernatural Prison series, and I was really happy to find out that the author was continuing the series, starting with Maximus Compass's story dealing with the loss of Cardia, his true mate.

It was a good story, I enjoyed reading it, and I'm really looking forward to reading more in this series.
But IMO, it just wasn't as strong as it could have been, or as strong as the stories in The Supernatural Prison series were.

It feels like forever since Dragon Mated was released, when it was actually only a few months. However I was able to jump straight into Broken Compass without needing to refresh my memory as to what has happened previously. Jaymin has mentioned that you don't need to of read the previous three books in the series to read this book as it's a stand alone, and I agree that you could read this book and not have to worry about what's happened previously, but then I think of how awesome the first thre ...more
Broken Compass is the first in a spin-off of Eve's Supernatural Prison where the focus switches to one of the Compass quads (four brothers, each a different type of supernatural). This installment is about Maximus, who is a vampire. Book two, Magical Compass - A Supernatural Prison Story, will feature Tyson, the wizard.

Eve notes this series can be read without having previously read her Supernatural Prison trilogy. However, events from the finale carried over into this installment, so I would re

OH MY LANTA!! I was a Mischa hater. Key word WAS. Jaymin kicked this out of the PARK!! I don't want to have any spoilers listed but man. WHAT A RIDE. Things make so much sense if you read this book! If you're a hater give this book a chance and it will answer so many questions!! And babies!! Gah all the babies!! I just love this universe!! I also love that it gives you an epilogue in a way of the characters you loved from the first trilogy. And not only that but extrapolates more without detract ...more

Well, we get to see more of the Compasses and I am glad. I didn’t like it as much as the previous three books.

I still had fun getting to know Mischa, she was now evolving, becoming more herself than the girl who got scared at everything.

Maximus was not the same as in the previous books b

it was everything I expected and more. This is Jaymin's best book yet.

In The three previous books Mischa was weak, annoying, and just not a character I liked. but in this book she was strong, protective and a badass in her own way like her sister. And yep, I loved every moment of it. Jaymin turned her into a character I love with a fiery personality.

I have always liked Max, but now I like him even more. He was already super protective, but when it came to Mischa, he was even more protective. I

Love all of these characters!

Broken Compass can be read as a standalone, however the reader does get more of the backstory of Mischa and Maximus if the Supernatural Prison trilogy is read before Broken Compass.

Mischa developed so much as a character over this story - there are reasons for her actions in the trilogy - actions which initially made her seem weak and not really a full member of the pack with Jessa and the Compass quads - she was always sitting on the outer of the group. This book

This book was so badly written I could not get past 3%. I cannot believe all the good reviews. Yes, I am a writer and maybe a bit picky, but I do give five star reviews, I promise.

This is an excerpt right out of page 1:

"Of course, this time it was clearly something else. The color purple had her all a tizzy. I hurried as fast as I could down the hall, but with my own impending pregnancy I wasn’t exactly in running shape."

So good, I am loving this series!

I was on the edge of my seat, I had tears and most of all I couldn’t put it down. The writing is fantastic and I just love the overall world that Jaymin has created.

The characters are all perfect, from the beginning to the end I loved how this just picks up from where we left off in the one previous.

Without spoilers, this book could be read as a stand-alone but why? I would start with book one where it all began.

Lots of twist and turns and so many feelings I am

Let me start by saying the book should of ended the minute they rescused Mischa. everything after that was pointless and drawn out, i had to force my self to keep reading. Mischa drove me insane with her constant whinning and complaining. If not for Jessa and Maximus i would have dropped the book entirely, hope the next one is better because i am realy into the stroyline and characters, minus Mischa...

Review for those who have read "Supernatural prison"trilogy prior to this book.

Did you hate Mischa before?Yeah, nothing mutch in this book to change that.To be fair, author does try really hard to redeem her,she even gets other characters to constantly point out how brave and strong Mischa is.Only, there is absolutely nothing in her actions to back up those words.Mischa for most parts is a victim here-of Jessas stupidity (yeah, let's stupify previously loved character, it usually helps),of Kristoff

ok, so I absolutely adored the other 3 books in this series, they were absolutely incredible and they each deserved the five star rating I gave them, (in my opinion), and as much as I loved this book I had to give it four stars (if I could do 4.5 I would).
My main issue was the fact that is was 'written' by Max and Mischa, who I do like as characters but haven't warmed to, I definitely would have preferred it if the book was still from the perspective of Jessa and maybe Braxton too.

Jaymin Eve has done it again! From the second I picked this book up I had a hard time putting it down! I normally don't like changes in point of view but being inside the head of Max and Micha was definitely a good change of pace and has opened me up more to reading more series that change narrators. I was not a Micha fan in the first 3 books of the supernatural prison series and I couldn't fathom how Jaymin Eve would be able to get me to jump on team Micha, but now I'm Team Micha all the way! It's official Jaymin has done it again. If you were like the rest of us, your heart broke when the Supernatural prison series ended. Jaymin wrapped you in to that world so tight you didn't want to leave. Well it's time to take a deep breath and rejoice because Jaymin has brought us another story where we can escape with all of our favorites once again. Broken Compass is the spinoff that focuses on Max and Mischa's story together. Jaymin has done nothing but continue to develop these characters s ...more

I'm a huge fans of the supernatural prison series and was excited for this book. It's such a great read for fans 😀 it's totally different from the first 3 books because it's written from Mischa and Max perspective....which I think works perfectly! I can see how this works as a stand alone but I'd really recommend reading the other 3 books first so you understand the background better. This book like all Jaymin's books is full of drama, laughter and a love story that makes you want a Compass Quad ...more
