A sweet little book about child Sétanta and how he got his name Cú Chulainn. I would have loved it as a kid, the text is simple and the illustrations remind me of the ones I’d see as a child during the early 00s. I wish a certain raven made her appearance in this book. 🐦‍⬛

This Tarantula book is quite Ladybird-like in size and style, but the illustrations are woeful by comparison, looking like they were drawn on MS Paint. They are colourful and clear, so maybe certain children will appreciate them, but I didn't. The story is hardly a complex tale either. I had envisaged something rather more atmospheric - I read this book because I loved the 1980s Spectrum game Dun Darach featuring Cuchulainn, but this book bore very little resemblance to the mood of that game's setting. Disappointing. 2.25/5
