Anyone who enjoys True Crime novels will enjoy this riveting thriller about Jimmy Slaughter. Note: It does go into some graphic detail about the deaths of both Melody Weurtz and her baby daughter. However, it is to describe the intent of the damage and harm that Jimmy did to these people and how much he hated these two human beings.

The author does a great job of not glorifying the death of the victims, but instead focuses on the clear intent of the crime done and the guilt of Slaughter. The author also does a great job flipping back and forth between telling the lives of Melody and Jimmy and their reltionship before the deaths; the investigation process of the police; and the trial that proceeded.

True Crime!

This guy butchered a mother and her baby to cover up his secrets. This is the true story of Jimmie Ray Slaughter. It never ceases to amaze me at the amount of sickness and cruelty some people possess.
