This Christmas story tells the story of a naughty mouse named Marmaduke, so naughty that Sant sends Santa Mouse over to the Mouse Hotel to check out if the stories about Marmaduke are true. It doesn't take long before Marmaduke is causing mischief. That causes Santa Mouse to react accordingly, and Santa needs to step in himself to right the ship. Worried that he will be present free on Christmas morning, Santa has a surprise for Marmaduke. The story is told with rhymed verses making it more accessible for young readers.

Marmaduke Mouse is a real little rat. This rhyming tale about the mice learning lessons in civility and belief in Santa is very charming.
