In this world, vampires are real, though are a very uncommon phenomenon. It's extremely rare to come across one, but if you do, it's important that you know what to do to avoid become either their dinner, or worse, one of them, and thus schools offer classes called Vampire Education, a class where you learn how to protect yourself from vampire

This Night Sucks by Elizabeth J M Walker was a pretty funny read. I definitely appreciated the author’s sense of humor. With everything going on in today’s society, it was nice to see an author making jokes. There was several snort-laugh worthy moments.

The teens in this book are pretty typical teens. Lana is easy to relate to, and Pete is a stereotypical jock type. Now that I think about it, most of the characters fall into their stereotypical roles fairly easily. The main one that doesn’t would

4 Star Fangs and Fun! Elizabeth J. M. Walker had me at the first bite!

“This Night Sucks” is a gut-splitting, laugh-out-loud YA vampire read, sans the shiny, sexy ones. And that’s so refreshing. Walker’s tough-in-cheek dialogue and cast of eclectic characters made for one hilarious story. From the dynamics of high school cliques to what you think you know about vampires (and what you don’t), the reader is led on a merry chase to hunt down, and hopefully kill any bloodsucker that dares enter Lana

This is such a fun read! It's also a very quick read, which is great for summertime. The teens in the book are fairly realistic in attitude and actions--well, except for the vampire/vampire hunter parts. LOL

The story flows quickly with lots of action. There are several "nerd" culture references which I enjoyed. The plot is fun and unique, and I found myself actually laughing out loud in many places.

This book is appropriate for teens or adults. The plot keeps you guessing, and the ending will be

I liked it, so sue me!! It's a fun read that lulls you into a sense of suspended-disbelief before smacking you upside the head with a major-upset turn of events. I loved the colorful characters, and thinking, "Is this what we were really like in high school?" Great plot twists and a cheesily stereotypical perfect location for the climax. Splendid light Halloween entertainment for high school & older. Plus pseudo book snobs can get off on the Canadian spellings of some of the words. Bravo!

Absolutely fantastic. hilarious in the best way! The author captured the essence of real teenagers perfectly. The snarky toung and cheek humor was great. There were multiple time that I felt I had gone back 10 years and was dealing with my awkward teenage self! Loved every page! looking forward to more from Elizabeth J.M Walker!
