I really appreciate reading Jeff's thoughts and it's good to see something written from a law enforcement perspective. Everything we see in the media is so one-sided, especially having lived with a police officer for the last 21 years. It used to be a profession of pride and ethics, and now it's been so dehumanized and defeating that I fear for the future of his safety, and frankly everyone's safety. No one knows what it's like to go to work everyday never knowing the dangers that wait for you. The criticism I hear everyday about police "behavior" just pisses me off frankly.
