Wow, so much fear, so many twists and turns. This was amazing!

This book was fantastic, though there were a few small points that I didn't like that much. I want to start with those before I get to all the goodie stuff.

So Dash and Duncan's whole drama just got annoying. It was quite an interesting thing at first, but then I didn't know who to dislike more: Duncan? Or Dash? They both make some stupid mistakes but I think the brother who is dead (no spoiler, if you read the first book you would kn

Deliciously creepy. Fucking spooky. Felt several jolts to my heart from the pictures alone. The app makes it even better because you're getting these backstories of all these "ghosts" that the main characters are constantly running into. The villain isn't who you think, I love that. Can't wait for the third book. I need to know what happens NOW.

I think this was weaker than the first book but I still think I will check out the third book from the library when it comes out (just to see how it all ended). However, not interested enough to buy it.

{My thoughts} – “Lakespur House can twist your thoughts and make you believe things that aren’t true. Or it can make you forget what was once important, so that you lose yourself entirely.” -Moriko

Poppy, Marcus, Dash, Dylan and Azumi all return for another haunting adventure within the walls of the Lakespur House. They have to try and keep their thoughts true to themselves and not allow outside things to influence their judgment. This proves to be a very trying situation for each one of them. Th

'You Can't Hide' is the second book in the Shadow House series, and fans of the first book as well as the genre are sure to love it. Even though it's the second installment, readers don't have to necessarily read the first book before this one. I haven't read the first book and I had no problems following the plot. There were some definite pros and cons for me as a reader, which I've listed below. Although I wasn't able to fully connect with the story, I would recommend this book to fans of chil ...more

I love scary books that deal with ghosts and even though this didn't scare me I did enjoy it so much. I will admit I was a little lost as I didn't realize this was book 2 but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. If anything it made me what to go and buy book 1 so I can read it then reread this one to have a better understanding of the characters. Even though this is aimed for young adults I really enjoyed the story line and the characters. I am waiting for book 3 now so I can see whay ha ...more

I hope Dan Poblocki writes fast because the third book has not been published yet and I can not wait long to finish this series. It is so good. So many twists and turns in the story I am loving it. When you read it you find yourself in the story right along with the characters and you can't put it down. I will think about Poppy, Dylan, Dash, Marcus, and Azumi all the time until the next book comes out.

Younger kids may have a hard time reading this series. It is a bit scary but if you love ghost

When I received this arc in the mail I was instantly excited. The packaging for this book was as great as the first.

Sometimes a follow up fails to live up to the first book, so I was a bit nervous. After reading the first few chapters I ceased being nervous for it not living up to the first and became nervous for the characters in the novel. Dan really did a masterful job on this installment of he Shadow House series. He created a lot of suspense through vivid imagery, and often left you hangin

This book picks up right where Book 1 left off. Poppy, Marcus, Dash, Dylan, and Azumi must find a way out of the house. Through puzzles, hallways that come alive, and rooms that change in their presence, the kids cross danger at every step as they attempt to leave. Why is the house holding them? Who can they trust? Why are "the specials" haunting them?
Dan Poblocki writes an excellent middle grade scary book! My heart was pounding as I quickly turned the pages! I chose 3 stars because there are s
