Mr. Waldorf Travels to the Mysterious China is another of the really well illustrated and extremely well-told stories of an absent-minded labrador. Not just absent minded but well traveled and knowledgeable about the animals and the special locations in China. If you have read his other adventures you will know that he is well spoken about many different locations. Alaska, Texas, and now China.

Like the other books in this series that I have read and reviewed, this one does a good job in introducing some of the characteristics of China to the young reader. The level of the text is roughly that of the second grader and the images are colorful, attractive and descriptive.

Mr. Waldorf travels all over the place, and this time, he's exploring China.
The wonderful Mr. Waldorf portrays more of a favorite uncle type of roll as he invites kids to visit China with him. He's a fun character to follow as he visits the different sites and creatures which are found in this vast country. After addressing the readers/listeners directly in the first pages, he embarks on the journey, but not without losing his reading spectacles. Now, the kids are on a mission to help Mr. ...more

I received this series of children's book in order to provide an unbiased review from Waldorf Publishing.
I adore series that have a character that travels to all the states. I think it is such an amazing way for kids to learn the things that are same and different from their own state. This series is about a Labrador named Mr. Waldorf who travels all over the world. He is a comical character that kids will absolutely adore!

Once again, Mr. Waldorf is off to teach kids of new countries - this time, China!
Here, he explores more famous monuments, structures and nature spots the country is famous for. He has a missing object to search for here as well, adding a second layer of interest to the journey.
He learns new things, illustrated quite colorfully for the reader's imagination to enjoy.
I would certainly share this picture book with young children, and recommend to others.

Mr. Waldorf is so excited to visit the ancient sites of China. Being in a foreign country is like walking into a postcard. So many new sounds, interesting history, and adventurous new foods. Yet, as soon as Mr. Waldorf arrives in China an unfriendly monkey grabs his spectacles and swings up into the canopy of a tree. Now what will Mr. Waldorf do? You know he reads every night!

Mr Waldorf is now visiting China and learning about different parts of this country. He visits the Great Wall, learns about different types of animals, Mount Everest and the Yangtze River. Of course his spectacles go missing at the beginning and he is searching for them while learning about this country.
The illustrations are gorgeous and bring China to life.
