When Sky’s parents moved from San Francisco to Boulder City in Nevada, she thought her life was over, until she met the Hudson boys. Two years older than her, tattooed bad boy Nate was confident, cocky, good looking, and a straight talker. He was the unattainable guy that all the girls wanted, but the one their fathers warned them to steer clear of. Josh had all of his brother’s looks, but he was the sweet charmer your mother would beg you to marry. Their cousin Billy lacked the brothers’ good looks, so relied on his quick wit to attract the girls.

When all three of them set their sights on Sky, they became competitive, and cracks in their close bond began to form.

Torn between her loyalty to all three, and feelings for one, Sky was faced with a dilemma.

I’m not gonna lie, I really....really struggled with Torn; despite the author’s amazing writing abilities and impeccable storyline.

The tale unfolds with Sky moving to Boulder City, Nevada. Where she meets three guys who later becomes endearing friends. Their relationship drags out as she sets out to get to know them and make a choice.

Predictability factor was at an all time high and often I’d scroll through the pages hoping for some kind of plot twists, maybe some drama or action. The few events were far and few in between but nothing that made me go Ahhh-Haaa until almost towards the end.

With the three guys I would have liked more character development and more of their own unique personalities. Granted lust, a healthy dose of respect and admiration was the deciding factor but for me that didn’t make them shine or really build up any connections

Torn was mostly focused on the interaction of the relationships. I felt the characters themselves lost their quirky habits, fixations and explosive tendencies; if that make sense. However you may feel differently. As mentioned the author did amazing job weaving the story, so I strongly encourage…..enjoy!

"The things we do for love"

Your the love of my life and the girl of my dreams.
- Nate Hudson

For the love of God! I cried a bucket of tears reading this book. Damn! it ripped my heart! all the love, betrayal, sacrifices, and forgiveness. it's one hell of a roller coaster ride of feelings for me and the bloody twist! I'm flabbergasted, mentally tormented, and emotionally heartbroken by how the story goes between the Hudson boys and Sky. it breaks my heart. the tagline truly justifies the story. and I'm glad for Sky and Nate characters for what they achieved in the end, after all, they deserved it. kudos to C.J. Fallowfied you're remarkable and I thank you for writing and delivering this sensational story.

WOW.......just WOW....... I actually finished reading this book about a week ago and I'm still trying to get my mind around it. The suspense, angst, love, friendship, betrayal, OMG this book truly has it all. I have read everyone of CJ Fallowfield's books and loved each and everyone, but this, this is my number one book by her. For me this past all previous books in every way. I laughed, teared up (I'm not a crier), I wanted to shake the hell out of some of these characters all while I loved every second and every word. Don't even get me started on the twists and turns this books takes. I never saw some of the twists and turns coming and they completely left me speechless. This story will take you to the highest high, the lowest low and bring you right back up again. These are the types of book I live for.

I received this copy for an honest review.

This book lives up to its synopsis. It will tear your heart out and play hell on your emotions. But all in a good way! Just when you thought nothing worse can happen in the story, it does. I love this book, absolutely loved Josh and Nate. I was very sad with how things turned out, but also vey happy for Sky. This is a great book about first loves, life long best friends, and growing up.

After moving again and feeling like an outsider in a new place Sky isn't feeling at home or like she has many people she knows...that is until she meets the Hudson boys: two brother and 1 cousin, all with different personalities but all wanting the new girl in town- but only one will win her heart so let the battle of the heart commence where only one victor will win Sky's heart!

"She was my beacon in the darkness, a light that guided me to the only safe and calming place I'd known in years."

Wow!! That was one hell of a read!! I loved that this was no ordinary romance, it wasn't even an ordinary love triangle as we had 3 men, fighting for one girls heart! The different points of view really helped make this book unique and the different personalities of the Hudson boys meant I fell in love with a part of them all as each man spoke to a different part of me! I could totally understand Sky's heart breaking decision to try and decide who she loves the most but not wanting to hurt any of them.

"I'd seen other girls give away their affections so easily, like the very act of choosing to share your emotions and your heart with someone was worthless. It wasn't to me. It was everything."

We have Nate- the bad boy, who gives a dangerous vibe off about him and whose cocky and sexy persona captures Sky's attention. Then there's Josh- the sweeter, cuter brother, who reminds me of a hot, nerdy professor- and Sky can't resist the softer and gentle side of Josh. Then we have Billy, the funny one, who makes the ladies laugh, Sky especially and the laughter as well as his secretive side, means Sky can't stop wanting to get to know him more!

"Goodbye is like never going to see you later. It sounds like it’s permanent.” “I’d better hope you never say goodbye to me then.” “Or you me.” “Never,” he responded immediately,"

This was such a heart breaking, breathtaking and beautiful love story with so many secrets and tense moments. I really adored Sky as well, and although you may go in thinking, "why is she moaning when she has three guys after her?" But straight away Sky becomes like a close friend and you feel her pain at liking them all but not wanting to hurt any them. It truly is a heart breaking decision and especially with the boys all being family.

"Another year had passed. Another year when I’d heard nothing. Another year of writing letters that contained tiny pieces of my heart. He was destroying it. Bit by bit, he was accepting it and giving me nothing in return."

It's not just the love between these 4, but it's the love between family and friendship we read about as well that makes this book so special. And the secrets and drama between the characters keeps you hooked alongside the romance side of the story- all the boys go through dark times and all have weights on their shoulders or secretes being kept hidden. Honestly, pick this book up and read it- You will not regret it!

This book I guarantee you will not put down once you start, and you will have the biggest book hangover ever once you do finish. I can also guarantee that this book will take you on an emotional roller coaster of a journey and if like me, will rip your heart out, you will definetly need a box of tissues.
The story follows Sky who has recently moved to town with her parents. Whilst out and about her bike gets a flat so she goes to the nearest garage where she meets the sexy, smouldering, ripped, tatooed and hot mechanic Nate. Instantly sparks fly and there is tension and chemistry between them. On Nates recommendation she goes to the diner while her bike is being fixed and she bumps into Nates brother Josh and cousin Billy. All the Hudson boys instantly make friends with Sky and take an interest in Sky and are all eager for her attention. Nate is the super sexy, cocky, arrogant player with a reputation. Josh is the super sweet, handsome, caring loyal one, and Billy is funny but something feels off with him. She came to town not looking for anything or anyone and now she has made three new friends, all of them want more than friendship from her. No matter what decision she makes she will end up Torn and hurting someone, she has feelings for all of them, but has more feelings for one of them than the other two. Little did she expect one of them to break her trust, one of them to break her heart and one of them to kill for her. The decision she makes will affect all of their lives for years to come. The years ahead will be torcherous for them all, full of life, friendship, laughs, love, lust, betrayal, drama, heartbreak, loss, grief and sadness. This story is an epic love story that will stay with you for a long time after you have finished it. There are not many books that I have read that will stay with me for a long time, but this one most definetly does, for days later I could not stop thinking about it, even now. You must read this epic love story.

I'm so excited to bring you this standalone new adult erotic romance novel. It's my first written in American English as it's set in Boulder City, Nevada. I've had the story in my head for some time, but had committed to other projects first, so it was great to finally get it down on paper. It's chock full of angst and drama and I hope it will pull at your heartstrings. I cried writing it, a number of times. Hope to see your thoughts when it's released at the end of August.

"She was my beacon in the darkness, a light that guided me to the only safe and calming place I'd known in years."

Decisions, decisions...Sky has just moved, again, and feels like the outsider she is until a misadventure with a flat tyre leads her directly to the Hudson boys. Two brothers and their cousin, each with their own issues, set their sights on the new girl in town. The elder brother, Nate is a bad boy package of hotness that shoulders a weight that he keeps hidden. With a reputation to match his cockiness Sky is set smouldering by just one look. That boy is the one your parents warm you about but Sky can't seem to convince herself that he is off limits. Josh, the younger brother, is a cuter softer version of his womanising brother. A nerd but oh so attractive in his own right Sky is drawn to his softer edges. Billy is the humorous, yet more secretive cousin who loves to play games and make the ladies laugh. All three make a big impression and leave their mark on her heart. Unable to choose between them Sky begins a dangerous dance with all the Hudson boys that slowly cause ruptures that turn onto chasms...

Torn is a love story, not just between a man and a woman but the love of friendship and family. How far would you go for the ones you love? How strong are the ties of blood? What would you sacrifice to protect those you feel responsible for? Spanning a few years where the characters endure, grow and explore their feelings Torn is a master piece of divided loyalties and indecision. Heartfelt and full of emotions that will make you swoon and cry in equal measure the will they won't they storyline will hook you from the first page. My heart splintered at several points through reading this story and at times I wish I could have reached in and shaken Sky!

A five star my heart missed a beat read.

Such a struggle... only for second lead to die and then to have a happy ending like wtf!
When I was already pissed with the hero; I really don't appreciate a hero who pushes the h "for her sake". Like, lether make that decision for herself.

Title of the book will really make you feel exactly that...Torn! I was an emotional wreck reading this book. I don't understand how two people could go through so much in so little time but still manage to survive and love one another so fiercely, especially such young love like Sky and Nate's love for each other.

Nate Hudson was the bad boy with a reputation of bedding all the single females in his town. When Sky Torres moves to this small town in Nevada, she never expected to find herself head over heels in love with this bad boy. Not only that, but she was torn between the love of three boys and she didn't want to break either of their hearts. But her heart was already set the moment she laid eyes on Nate Hudson. Now, she just needed him to prove that she wasn't just another conquest in the sheets for him. She needed to know that his love for her was real and she was "it" for him as he was for her.

But things and people kept getting in the way of their love. Can two people who love each other so damn much survive so much pain and heartache?

I have read many books by this author and I have to say that this one has been my very favorite one by far! I love her books, but damn this one really has tugged my heart, ripped it to shreds and now I'm still trying to mend it after finishing this book.

I can't get over all the twists and turns this book had. It was seriously like riding a scary roller coaster. One minute I'm high as a kite with the love these two were enjoying together and you thought that nothing would be able to get in the way of their beautiful love, and the next minute, I was falling, falling when shit started to hit the fan!

I loved the raw emotion this book had. This was a very beautifully written book that will have you in tears and I seriously mean tears and asking "why, why does this have to happen"?

How can someone put their life on hold to make others happy, sacrificing your love and everything else just to make sure everyone else is happy. This is what Nate did, he sacrificed so much in life just to make sure everyone else was taken care of and was happy. I seriously love Nate to death for being the man that he was and for everything he went through for love, regardless of what kind of love, but it was love <3

If I could give this book more than five stars, I definitely give it ten!!!

Ladies Living in Bookland (review by Susan)

Torn....this book had me torn!!! I've got to say it's got to be the first book of CJ's that I've struggled with.
But by no means did I not enjoy it.

The new "girl next door" Sky Torres is the new girl in town, having moved to Nevada, (Boulder City) she was about to meet the notorious Hudson boys....and jeez what a journey she was about to take with them all.

We have Josh, the good guy, struggling to live in (or out!) of his brothers shadows.

Billy...the boy that Sky would only feel was her "very platonic friend, pure and simple".

And the one and only, first ever guy she meets...Nate. A mechanic and aspiring baseball player. He has a bright future ahead of him, despite his reputation for being a bit of a player in the town. This doesn't stop stop ogling the man who fixed her bike that first day in town. And let's face it...I think any girl would!

Excerpt:
A girl like me, shy and bookish, had no chance with a guy like him. But it sure was going to be fun imagining.

The first forty percent definitely wasn't as I had hoped. It was a little predictable and "will she/won't she" and I just wanted the characters to get their HEA. But Sky and her innocence was endearing. Her values and relationships were what we can all hope for young girls. Her strong relationship with her family and friends warmed my heart.

Excerpt:
I'd seen other girls give away their affections so easily, like the very act of choosing to share your emotions and your heart with someone was worthless. It wasn't to me. It was everything. I wanted that moment I did to mean something, to be personal.

The devastation the Hudson boys face is unimaginable. The journeys the boys all take all link back to Sky and she's always there for them. Even in their darkest hour....and each of the boys have them!

A read that took me a while to "feel" but once I did, the story flowed. Another brilliant read, but for me had a slower start than I would have liked. A stunning cover though and most definitely worth a read.

An absolutely amazing read but I am warning you know, make sure you have tissues ready as C.J Fallowfield will rip your heart out and stomp all over it.....

Sky is new in town and it doesn't take long for her to meet the Hudson's. The Hudson's are brothers Nate and Josh and their cousin Billy. They are all spellbound by Sky and she must choose between them. When she makes her decision, things take a nasty turn of events and it looks like Sky's future happiness is in ruins.

There is a lot going on in this book and I dare not say anything else as it will spoil the book.

Torn is one hell of a roller coaster that will have you bawling your eyes out and I mean proper ugly crying as well!

A fantastic book that deserves more then the 5 star I can give it as this book blow me away.

This book had my emotions all over the place. I loved it but I disliked Sky in the beginning. Her feelings for Nate were obvious so I didn’t understand why she was being so stubborn and not admitting her feeling and also stringing Josh along. I won’t even mention Billy because ugh! I felt the brothers deserved better. Nate was everything! Loving, loyal, selfless. He constantly sacrificed himself for the ones he loved. I’m heartbroken over Josh and his outcome. I was angry at Sky again towards the end for giving up so easily when she knew deep in her heart Nate still loved her and she still loved him but despite all the loss and hurt they went through they still made it through together. As much as Sky irritated me at times and I’m still glad her and Nate got their HEA.

It's 1:45pm as I start writing this and I've just finished the book. Oh my good god, the amount of feels poured into one story...Wow! CJ Fallowfield always writes things that wreak havoc with my emotions but Torn? Jesus, Torn takes the trophy for putting my emotions through the damn wringer. I have laughed and I have cried, honest to goodness ugly cried, several times. There were moments I thought my poor old heart couldn't take any more. I have the biggest book-hangover I have ever had. My heart was in a really happy place, coasting on a high, only to be torn from my chest, beaten to death and trampled on, then replaced upside down and barely functioning. How can mere words on a page play with a persons feelings so much? Sounds illogical, but I promise you it isn't. The characters are easy to connect with and once you have, their every thought, feeling and emotion becomes your own. Charlotte is an amazing author and it astounds me how each book I read of hers, I think the next one can't be better, but it is. However, I think with Torn, nothing can beat it. It was genuinely the best book I've read this year, perhaps even longer than that. It will take one hell of a book from anyone to top this.
I won't give away any spoilers, I hate when people do that. All I can really tell you is this; the writing was so powerful and emotive. The characters were, while flawed - and let's face it, who isn't? - amazing. We see them develop before our eyes and it's as though seeing the world through their eyes. They transport you to another place and time so easily. I lost chunks of time reading as I just couldn't get my head out of the book. My kindle died when I was partway through a sentence, so I went to bed, put it on charge and turned it back on, thinking I'd just finish that page or chapter. Little did I know I wouldn't put it down again until the very end. I am absolutely shattered, not just physically, but emotionally too. I went through more ups and downs than the worlds biggest roller coaster. But hell if it wasn't worth it in the end. This was a story about friendship, love, betrayal, heartbreak and loss. There were times I wanted to scream and throw my kindle across the room. There were times when I wanted to throw a temper tantrum to rival the brattiest two year old. But everything else more than made up for those moments. To see something end the way it did after all that had gone on before, I was crying happy tears at the end. Can love really conquer all? Read it and find out for yourself.

Lulu's Review

So Lulu is Torn about her rating – in the end I have given it 3.5 Hearts – I found this story really slow and it honestly did not grab me until after Valentines day – then all hell breaks loose. The continual underlying story for Billy and his mum really annoyed me – either disclose the big secret or move on – I really wanted Nate & Josh to find out their true story. Sky’s dad was another character that I felt angst towards (his curfews and inability to see the goodness in two of the three boys) however he redeemed himself when Nate really needed a man figure.

My god what Nate & Josh go through for his mum is unbelievable – again really depressing. There are so many secrets and endless sadness for all four characters and this wore me down. I have to say I did not feel good about Billy from the start of this book and when his secret is revealed I was not surprised. Valentines night chapter was just incredible and this is where the whole story blows apart for me and really gets going, alas it was at 50% of the book and I really thought the first half of this book dragged – the sexual buildup for Sky to lose her virginity was too long and do not get me started on the chapters covering the three date scenario – I actually disliked Sky for awhile after that.

I loved the ending it was perfect in that everything was resolved there are no what ifs for this story. I really wanted to love this more though. My favourite scene was when Sky was in the Kitchen and she has a wonderful moment that basically gave me happy tears instead of sad tears – I was shaking with fear thinking it could not be real. I thought I had it all figured out who had broken her heart, trust and who would kill – think again until you reach the last few chapters! In the end Sky pays a hefty price and in the end there was only one male character I will love forever and that was the guy that sacrificed so much for his family.

Have a happy romance book on the standby after this – you will need it – took Lulu two books on her favourite book shelf to get over this tragic tale – it left me Torn Apart

Favorite Quotes:

That redhead’s Billy Hudson, Josh and Nate’s cousin, and what he lacks for in looks, he makes up for in personality. He can laugh the panties off a nun, that one.

You’re probably the only legal girl under thirty in town that he hasn’t been with.

I opened the door, the sound of Taylor’s squeaky voice assaulting my ears as the harbingers of chlamydia all called my name.

Until your knowledge of sprouts extends beyond a championship belt in farting them out a few hours later, keep your opinions to yourself… I’m lucky I don’t have to wear glasses, Josh has assaulted my eyes with his toxic vapor so much over the years. His gas would turn litmus paper bright red.

I heard Ma tell Dad that it was no surprise you chose pitching over batting since you obviously like to fondle balls, judging by all the stains on your sheets when you were a teenager.

I’m swearing like a sailor on shore leave that couldn’t find an open bar.

My Review:

Written from my favorite dual POV, Torn immediately grabbed my attention, kept me enthralled, squeezed my heart, stole my breath, often had me smirking, and frequently left me gasping and cursing my News Years wine-free diet resolution. Yet I loved every minute of it. Torn was stellar! The characters were achingly endearing, as were the sweet and supportive relationships they shared. This wily author wove a clever tapestry with countless twists and turns and golden threads of misdirection that had my mind skittering off chasing rabbits. Ms. Fallowfield is a sneaky and gifted scribe. She broke my heart, gutted me, turned me inside out, and put me back together all while deftly amusing me with an intriguing, alluring, addictive, and unstoppable story that I could not put down. The writing was clever, well-crafted, engaging, witty, observant, emotive, insightful, and atomically sensual – I think my heart may have stopped a time or three. This wickedly talented wordsmith currently resides at the top of my list for further research.

Sky Torres thought the sweltering heat of Boulder City was all she had to contend with when she set off on a morning bike ride, to familiarise herself with the new surroundings of the town she would now call home. Never did she envision a simple trip into the local town would send the Nevada temperatures soaring even higher, following an encounter with three locals, Nate, Josh, and Billy...The Hudson Boys.

For the boys, from only one glance at Sky, they are all instantly attracted to the new girl in town. But for Sky, even though she can see something unique in the guys, she’s adamant boyfriends/relationships are something she’s no time for with college. All she needs is friendships. However, when reminiscing the morning over back home, she soon realises each of the guys has left an everlasting impression, with a strong impulse of wanting to get to know each of them more. But unaware to Sky, these newfound friendships will evoke a cluster of emotions. And love, trust, deceit, betrayal, and heartbreak will tarnish all, leaving Sky feeling completely torn.

CJ has done it yet again, creating a story which captures the reader completely. I loved everything about Torn. The pace of the story flowed perfectly, allowing the reader to fully understand and connect with each and every one of the wonderful characters. And the added twists kept the plot interesting throughout the entire book. From beginning to end every word, every scene is written to precision, you can't help but fall alongside the characters experiencing every single emotion along with them. You will laugh, cry, but most of all you will understand the true meaning of family, true love and the sacrifices in which anyone of us would do in a heartbeat to protect the ones we love.

Fantastic read, highly recommended.

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Stunning.......Beautiful.......Perfect

What started off as just a simple story of boy meets girl, they fall in love with little drama, soon had me gripped with the struggles faced when you have choices to make when you would do anything for those you love. From breaking their hearts to saving them. Told in a dual point of view I fell in love along the way.

I haven't had the pleasure of reading a CJ Fallowfield book before, and I'm not sure how I've missed her effortless writing style, my head honestly didn't lift from the pages of this book as I stole 5 mins here and an hour there. The words flowed seamlessly and I was mesmerised with how much I loved the main characters and the characterisation of Sky and Nate. Along with the supporting cast of Josh, Liam, Billy and Sky's family this book held me captive.

Everything about this book was heartfelt and simply beautiful and then the tears flowed and the emotion and Angst poured from the pages. Every loss, every heartbreak they felt, I felt it too and this meant I'd invested and I'd lost myself to this book and this author had won me over ! I was there every step of the way still routing for my Nate.

There was moments my heart broke and I didn't want to turn the page, but I did. And moments my heart was beating so fast. And those scenes ! Covering the bases wow just wow Hot and sultry !!

What else can I say but this book ticked all the boxes for me, it flawed me as I didn't see it coming. If nothing else this story is about finding love, having faith and keeping hold, staying strong no matter what is thrown at you, being each other's strength and love can conquer all.

CJ you have a new fan in me.

5 (I wish I could give it more) stars !

OK, so CJ Fallowfield is easily one of my favourite authors and like kids I shouldn't have my favourite book of hers but.... I do now.
Torn is something else.
Utterly beautiful,
Heart breaking,
Heart warming
and captivating.
Sky Torres is once again uprooted thanks to her fathers job, she's fed up, lonely and oblivious to what's about to hit her when she walks into the lions den. OMG enter Nate Hudson naked from the waste up and 100% pure hot male God.
The Hudson boys are in a league of their own, when genes were handed out these boys got first pickings. Nate is used to the women, fame and attention being the drop dead gorgeous, sometimes over confident jock. His brother Josh has all of the looks, though the brain and 'boy next door' charisma (love him). Then there's Billy the cousin, gave me the gitters straight away, not up to the Hudson boys standards but a sweet boy nonetheless.
The brother's lives are tainted by a mother that once loved and cherished her boys until the tragic death of their father. She's an alcoholic and proves more than enough to handle for the Hudson boys. CJ has written this part of the family's life beautifully, she's captured the pain, love and torture endured by the boys perfectly and this broke my heart in a way I won't easily forget.
In an emotional battle between family loyalty, true love and agonising rejection Torn breaks down all of your boundaries and burns them.
Now personally.... this book will stay with me. CJ has out done herself and brought a new level to her work, cannot love this book more. ARGGHHH would love more from the Hudsons.
thank you CJ

Gritty yet sweet, tense yet tender - Torn has a little bit of everything, and boy does that make for a exciting and enjoyable read! This new adult book follows Sky, an inexperienced young woman, as she moves to a new town and meets three very different young men. All three of them help her adapt to her new life in their own way, and while she values her relationship with them all, her heart belongs to only one. But it's not an easy journey as she experiences love for the first time, and the twists along the way will have you questioning what Sky's HEA will be. I adore first love books, and Torn does not disappoint - it's paced at such a way to keep the tension palpable without getting frustrating, and when the relationship finally moves to the next level, it's both exciting and heartwarming. And just when you think you are getting settled, the world flips upside down and all you can do is go along for the ride. Fallowfield does such a fantastic job at creating vivid scenes with relatable characters, and you feel like you are living voyeuristically in their world with them. I especially loved that the characters in Torn were your normal, everyday people. This genre tends to be filled with the tortured billionaire with everything at his fingertips, but Torn could take place in any small town with any cute innocent girl and hot boy next door. This made the book feel fresh and different to everything else that I've read lately. I highly recommend Torn to fans of both young love and gritty suspense. A 5 star read!

My favorite read 2016, I read alot, I mean alot of books and I have favorites and yeah sometimes those change but then you read a book and it's one that will stay with you forever and this book is definitely one that will stay with me. I've never felt so part of a story that the way I felt reading it made me want to reread it as soon as I finished it, cause I wanted that feeling again, almost like a high.
We have alot of great characters and 4 pov , some more than others but we get to know every characters past what down to the parents and long distance BFF. Sky has moved to a new town with her family, it's all new, starting college, making friends and that starts with meeting Nate a mechanic baseball star with a sexy bad boy look, who Sky ask to help repair her bike tire, but once she stares into his green eyes she's done for. When Nate sends Sky across the street while he fixes her tire he can't stop thinking about her. Josh his shy and always in shadows but sitting with his cousin Billy at the diner when Sky walks in he feels his luck is about to change, but he notices that she's caught Billy's eye as well. Sky never intended making 3 great friends, or being attracted to them but she definitely didn't plan on falling in love with one. Choices will be made, hearts will be broken, truths and secrets revealed. How will it all end? OMG YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. I loved the story and couldn't put it down, I just had to know with each turn of the pages what was going to happen next and I was floored, I wasn't expecting that. great job deserves more than a 5 star rating.

“He doesn’t give me butterflies, he gives me fireflies.”

Torn, torn? I’ll give you torn! *wails*

You’ll need tissues, they said. Ain’t no amount of tissues was going to help me. Plain and simple – I was a mess. Don’t believe me? Ask my bestie about a voice message she received from me.

This story took me from the highest of highs to the most gut wrenching of lows. It is a story of friendship, family and love. All the different facets of love that we have for our family and friends, but also the love that shakes the very ground we stand on when we find The One.

There is nothing we wouldn’t do, nothing we wouldn’t sacrifice for their happiness – their safety is paramount and, oh lordy, did this book have that in spades.

“There’s no greater proof of love than sacrifice…”

Also, gird your loins ladies because there is a new BBF in town, and his name is Nate Hudson! He is the stuff wet dreams are made off. Ovaries, what ovaries? BOOM!! I dread to think how many brain cells I fried after reading the shower scene…. tattoos, wet, soapy, abs….

Le sigh…. sorry, I was drooling again.

These characters burrowed their way under my skin and I think they’re there for the duration. This is one story not easily forgotten and as the first work I’ve read by this author, she now has a fan for life.

Right! I’m off to consume the largest bar of chocolate ever – don’t judge!!

CJ does it again ! She has totally pulled the punches out of the bag with this one. a story that follows the new girl in town, Sky Torres. We meet Sky as she literally rides into town and meets the three Hudson boys who will each leave a mark on her heart in very different ways. The rough but sexy Nate, sweet bookish Josh and comedian Billy. Who will steal her heart, she knows who it shouldn't be, but will her heart listen? Lots of angst and plot twists to keep you turning the pages, but alongside that the sweetest development of not only love but true friendships. Sky's life will be turned upside down more than once and I shed plenty of tears as their story unfolded. CJ has a way of writing that brings all the characters to life on the pages from the main ones to the others we meet along the way.. I fell in love with Liam Sky's best friend from 'back home' even though we didn't get to meet him other than through Sky's calls and texts, Rosie the waitress at Joelle's who I just adored and Sky's parents Yvette and Diego whose love for their daughter and for each other just shone from the pages.. and also created some laugh out loud moments with Yvette's offers to Diego of 'favours' to get her own way ! A total must read again from CJ Fallowfield who just gets better and better. **ARC provided for an honest review**

4.5 gut wrenching stars

This book has me sooooo torn, pun intended. Torn because the author is amazing (first time reader, here) but also because the book was absolutely gut-wrenching...I love and hate it.

It's beautiful and sweet and also, brutal and shocking. What an emotional roller-coaster; the beginning of the story had me laughing and sighing over the young love then literally bawling and omg-ing my way through the rest of it. My heart is battered over all these characters have endured and the emotional baggage from this could fill Nate's beloved Impala.

The characters are great, hot as a Nevada summer Nate Hudson. Sweet, shy Sky Torres. Funny and cute Josh Hudson. Mysterious Billy. I adored Sky's parents. I will admit that the story drug for me a bit in the middle and I wondered whether the author could hold my attention for awhile but then, BAM! the twist that broke my heart and kept me turning the pages, waiting for redemption. It came, in the end, but even the happily ever after was fraught with heartache.

While this is a HEA book, it's not your normal route to get there. This book will have you exploring a range of emotions you probably haven't tapped into in a long while. Well done, Ms. Fallowfield. Now, excuse me, I'm going to therapy, I mean the wine store and to find myself a comedy.

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review !! Once again CJ delivers hey book that stops you did in your tracks and make you want to reach for a stiff drink, a bottle of Xanax, a box of Kleenex, and a gorgeous hunky man to help wipe away your tears and love you into a nice dreamy sleep!! This is one of those books that offer you an emotional push and pull from the moment that you open the story until the very last page turn! I absolutely could not put the book down !! This story follows Sky and Nate, as well as his brother and cousin . The situation she finds yourself in is none that any of us would wish upon our worst enemy ... all of them are hoping and praying for her affections that will take them beyond friendship… And part of the thing that tears her at the most is no matter what decision she makes someone will end up hurt ! With feelings for all of them she definitely knows that she has more feelings for one of the other two… in the end she makes a decision that affects all of their lives in drastic ways . Hence the nod towards the authors title… TORN!! This is an epic Love story full of friendship, love, hate, betrayal, grief, sadness, sexiness and laughter !!! This story will leave you in a torn state wishing that there was more !!!

First I'm just going to start by saying...OH MY GOD. Nate and Sky are just...wow *sighs*

Sky has just recently moved into a new town following her father and his job. When she gets a flat tyre on her bike she ends up and the nearest mechanics that just so happens to be the one Nate works in.

Nate is currently working at the garage to earn a living to keep him and his brother. After loosing his father and his mother turning to drink as grief he took of the reigns as a father figure to Josh. Baseball and his beloved Impala are his passion until Sky comes along.

Torn is a love story showing how far one would go not only for the love of a man or woman but for the love of family, how one would sacrifice everything they know and love. Torn will take you on an emotional whirlwind and will leave you wanting more. It's incredibly heartbreaking at some points and I loved how it made me feel for the characters. Oh and let's not forget about the sex, incredibly HOT.

CJ Fallowfield has gone and created another masterpiece and blessed the world with it.
