The Story
The first five star read of the year of the year for me was given to none other than L.H Cosway. So imagine, my excitement when her next release made its way to my kindle as an ARC! In all honesty, Cosway's charm and writing is something I will never stop loving - even if this

His hunger for me didn’t seem to abate. He made love to me in all the ways I’d been missing out on these past years, and my body was completely and totally spent. It was also waking up, unfurling like a newly sprouted flower. My feelings grew, just like I feared they would.

This story was EXQUISITE! L.H. Cosway has once again, created a world that I completely lost myself in and never wanted to leave. Her stories and characters are alway

Ellen Grant is a single 29 yr. old woman living in London who lives a quiet, simple life. She had difficulty with social interaction, and became anxious and awkward in crowds. Tired of existing like a hermit and wondering if she’d always be alone, she decides to occasionally transform herself into someone else. She yearned for excitement, a

I loved this book!! L.H. Cosway always writes such unique, touching stories and this one wasn’t an exception.

Julian is a male escort and best friend to Rose from Showmance. I was always intrigued by him and I am so happy we are finally able to truly know him. I know many people will shy away from this book due to Julian’s job, but it didn’t really bother me cause he didn’t just do it for the sex. He helps empower women through their sexuality and conquer their fears. Also there’s no

There was something about Julian that drew me in. He had stories behind those eyes.

What has always appealed to me most about L.H. Cosway's books are her odd and unusual characters. She certainly created that uniqueness in Ellen Grant. Ellen has suffered from severe social anxiety her entire life, and for a time in her childhood even had selective mutism. Now as

Update for meself; I forget that he is a male escort which puts me on the fence with this one. I love L. H. Cosway's work.

I looked at him sadly. We’d had countless conversations over the years about his strange outlook on love and sex, and how the two went hand in hand, never separate, for Julian, they had to be forever apart, never together. “One day a woman will come along when you least expect her, and she’ll wash away everything that came beforehand, “I whispered

I had to sit on this for a while because I struggled with how to fairly rate it. I'm a HUGE fan of LH Cosway and her writing in this novel was both flawless and lovely. But I honestly struggled my way through it. Cosway's characters are as they always are, eccentric, quirky, refreshing. But in the case of Fauxmance, that also made them unrelatable and I couldn't connect. I was a spectator here and I remained indifferent to the story the entire way through. The halfway point marked a bright sp

L.H. Cosway’s Fauxmance offers a unique story in which you can escape one page at a time.

When going out in public and interacting with people is virtually impossible, Ellen Grant decides to become someone else. Donning a completely fake persona opposite to her painfully shy personality, including a wig and outrageous sexcapades, she catches the attention of Julian Fairchild, “Freelance Alternative Therapist.” In other words, male escort.

Being the observant man that he is though, Julian soon

Ever since I read, and loved Showmance, which is book one in this series, I was dying to read Julian’s story. He is a character that was so extremely charming that I had fallen for him way back when. FauxMance is about him and a beautifully flawed heroine, both amazing characters and both incredibly broken. But together they turned love, into a super power.

This one had me particularly intrigued because I've been on a fake romance kick lately. Add the fact that it's between a shy bookworm and an escort, and I was SOLD!!!! If you're thinking wow, that sounds fucking awesome, you'd be 100% correct.

It has humor:

A sweet, shy bookworm falls for a male escort. I was not a complete fan of the predictable plotline, however this writer made it work. I adored the friendship the main characters had....that later changed into love.

***5 ‘Beautiful Specimen & Thief of Words’ Stars***

After reading Showmance I wanted more of Julian and boy did I get more than I could have ever asked for, not only with Julian but Ellen and all the goodness that is Fauxmance. It is sweet, awkward and filled with hope, laughter and all kinds of heart. It’s also quite smexy. Like REALLY smexy, but it was the characters and their journey that made this one a page turner that I wish hadn’t ended.

I would like to preface this by saying that I’m a huge fan of L.H. Cosway and I usually devour her books in a couple of hours because I’ve always been so in love with her writing. But this one, felt off. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s been a while since I’ve last read her work but I felt like I was reading a book written by someone else and not Cosway. It just felt so different.

However I did enjoy the book to an extent. I loved both Ellen and Julian and I was invested in their relationship.

I adore L.H. Cosway's books. I loved Showmanceand was really excited about finally being able to get to know Julian story. And I wasn't disappointed, not even close.

We all know a little about Julian from Showmance. He's the best friend/almost a brother to Rose, who ends up with Damon on the first book. What we also know is that Julian is a male escort, and very proud of being one. But he has a different way of choosing his clients. The money/sex here is a consequence, he's more

I remember going into Showmance thinking that it wasn’t going to be a book I was interested in, but willing to give it a chance nonetheless. And then it proceeded to blow me away. I had the same sorts of feelings going into Fauxmance, though maybe I was slightly less skeptical after how completely Showmance won my heart. Still, a male escort makes a sort of questionable hero and so I wasn’t really sure how I was going to fare with this one.

As it turns out – Ms. Cosway delivered a smart, witty,

Cute story. I liked it a lot. Julian is a doll. He's not a conventional Hero. He's no Alpha. He's described as pretty and androgynous. But he's no less sexy. He takes his job as an escort seriously. He enjoys helping women find their confidence.

For weeks one woman in particular has fascinated him. He eavesdrops on her conversations with her friend at their local coffee shop. He loves listening to her sexual adventures. He becomes so enamored that one day he follows he

Love LH Cosway

I pre-bought the book after finishing Damon and Rose's story. As always I love the complexity of her chatacters and especially how she pushes past coflicts with the characters being charitable, instead of one dimentional.

Julian's employment and "Eliose's" layers made it a fun read.

Julian was a character that drew me in from the beginning. Since I’ve met him in Showmance, I couldn’t wait to read his story. I appreciated the author’s effort for writing about peculiar people.

In a society when pretending is almost a normalcy, Julian and Ellen who were so different, from their lifestyles and personality managed to build a strong connection and in a way helping each other to overcome some issues of their own. To see t

I enjoyed this quite a bit, even though it was not at all what I expected. After meeting Julian in Shomance and getting a taste of his past, I thought this would be way darker. I loved how he was open to all people accepting of all their quirks and differences. People fascinate him, Ellen/Elodie most particularly. His acceptance and knowledge of human nature really helped her come into her own. And she allowed him to see that he was indeed worthy of love.
