In a new edition of the best-selling handbook, the proven study methods are enhanced with a variety of new materials, including a section on such basic skills as reading actively and writing anxiety-free term papers. Original.
Getting straight A's was a neat book that showcases a system to get A's. I found out it particularly boring as I already learned most of the strategies mentioned in the book for free online. It is a good book for those who never learned to study their entire lives. My only concern or annoyance with this book is the countless times the author references or quotes a person every paragraph to confirm his view.
Pretty helpful tips included in here, does show it's age in some parts of the book, but overall a great read for anyone wanting to perform better academically.
This book gives simple advice that, if followed, really does lead to exceptional grades. I read it prior to my studies in Civil Engineering and did almost all of what was suggested (even though it was sometimes against my nature). I earned over a 3.9 in my engineering courses.
I later went to get a nursing degree and stopped being diligent about the books suggestions and lo and behold my grades dropped.
The advice is sound and requires work but if followed is very helpful.
A slim volume with simple, effective advice for earning straight A's. The suggested approach to your studies isn't onerous, in fact much of it seems like common sense. Following the book's system helped me earn straight A's. Recommended.
Good advice for any college student. I did my best to follow its precepts back in the day and found it helpful... I gave a copy of this as a gift to a younger friend just starting college.
