This book was a great follow up to Perilous Love, I could not put this book down. I loved every minute of it. This book was action packed, steamy and had an amazing story line. I experienced a range of emotions during this book from Humor, anger and yes even tears. This series was my first "Fantasy" series and it has opened up a whole new world of reading for me. ...more

Intense

I absolutely loved this book! It was so intense, from the dramatics of war to the intense sexual scenarios throughout the book. I couldn't help but laugh a little and cry a little more. I truly fell for these characters. I would recommend this eclectic book to my friends and family!!

Saving Robor
By J.A. Essen

A 3.5 star review by Kristie K.

There is something magical about joining the world of the fae, of leaving reality behind and walking through a completely different world. Saving Robor is the second installment in this series, and is a pretty well written follow up to Perilous Love. I am a huge fan of science fiction, paranormal, and other-worldly escapes of the written and visual variety. J.A Essen has done a good job of creating a world that you can lose yourself in, a p

I am a fan of J.A. Essen's first book Perilous Love and was excited to hear that he was writing more about this amazing world he has created, where Elves and humans live in harmony. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to read it, but I have to say, it didn't grab me as much as the first did. I really fell in love with the characters in Perilous Love, but didn't feel that same connection this time.

For me, I think the real story began half way through (when it jumped ahead twenty years), and I

As with book 1 in the series this is a 3.5 star review from me.
I really enjoyed this book. I went straight into it from book 1 and devoured it within a couple of hours.
You definitely need to have read the first to be fully able to follow this one.
I love the characters, every single one of them. I had a bit of a chuckle and maybe a tear or two leaked out too. This one is full of emotion...and sex...oral at that. Those pesky elven ladies like to treat their men don't they!!

I'm kind of a bit sad it

Where to even start with this book.... Well it’s even amazing as the first one. J.A. Essen really knows how to write an amazing book and bring out all the emotions that you were never even thinking could happen with a book, the only one that I didn’t have was that I didn’t cry as for some reason it’s like I’m immune to it. Seriously though this book was amazing, it continues on from the story of Perilous Love but it’s mainly about Tanaris, Breanna and Aluna as they now run the kingdom of Robor. ...more

So Many Emotions!

This is the sequel to Perilous Love and pretty much picks up right where that story left off. Only this time we get to really get to know Taranis and his love, Breacca. The relationship between the Elvin and humans is changing and Taranis has been put in charge of Robor in this time of transition. Breacca also is throwing huge changes at Taranis, including a huge surprise when he returns from Edana and Faudron.

This book is full of action and steamy romance. It also introduces u

Oh my god! It's so hard to utter words after that!! This was the perfect end to the perfect story! Perilous Love was my first elven type novel and I absolutely loved it. Saving Robor was even better!!

There's so much imagery and detail in ever sentence that you feel like you are living everything right there with the characters! And oh the character! I love that he brought them all together for this book. I was so excited to see Taranis and Breaccas stories continued and then

5 Amazing Stars!!!!!!

There are no words to describe how happy I am with this book!!!! I fell in love with Taranis in book one, Perilous Love, and couldn't wait to see what would unfold in his and Breacca's story! I LOVE that JA Essen made it not only a dual POV but also gave us perspective from the previous couple, Edana and Faudron!!!! This story was amazing and I can't wait to see what else JA writes!!! If you haven't already ready Perilous Love, I would suggest reading it before you read Savi

It was awesome to get back into this story. I love this world that J.A. Essen has created. I love these characters and their amazing lives. This series is so unlike any others I have read of the same genre, but not nearly long enough. As much as I love this story, I was hoping for so much more. I don't like how they had such a big gap in time. I would of loved all the in between years. I feel like I was cheated in a way. I feel like J.A. has found his place within the para/fantasy romance world. ...more

I really loved book one, Perilous Love, which is the romance of Edana and Faudron. Book two, Saving Robor is a good follow-up. I didn't get quite as caught up in the story as I did with book one, possibly because the POV bounced between several characters and the story suddenly jumped about twenty years into the future. I love the new romance that developed and I did get teary-eyed during the course of the story. One thing that both books share is a sense of humor, steamy sex, and an action-adve ...more

Whoa! That ending!!! Just whoa!

I love these stories so much (Perilous Love being book one). Taranis and Breacca... Faudron and Edana. Their children, Ainion and Aluna.

They're all working towards making a peaceful life with their fellow elves and the humans. So much happens in these pages. I can't go into details because spoilers are rude lol. But trust me when I say you'll LOVE this story just as much, if not more, than book one!

Simply wow

So now that I have somewhat wrapped my head around this, I really have no words. You have to read Perilous Love to understand this book, because it goes right into the second story. I laughed a lot though this book. I also fell in love with two of the newest characters. I can't begin to explain how hot this was as well. For me this book was absolutely amazing. It really is not like any other Elven books you will read.

Sometimes it's hard to find a good book with such great detail to make it feel real or as if your standing in the shadows watching it unfold. That's how I felt reading Saving Robor. Another great read from J.A, a perfect follow up from Perilous Love. Talk about an Emotional Roller Coaster! You'll fall in love with the characters. I just couldn't put my kindle down, I had to know what happened. ...more

OMG just loved it! It was a great follow up book that made you fall more in love with Faudron and former Princess of Robor, Edana, Plot twists and then introducing new characters make this book a 5 plus! This isn't one of my typical kind of books but holy moley, JA Essen has changed my mind!! A very detailed storyline with great character development. I was drawn into the story right off the bat and had a hard time putting it down. I loved Edana and Faudron very much. But I think spirited and carefree Aluna was my favorite. ...more

This is an amazing second installment. I absolutely loved the first book and this one was just as wonderful. The characters are so detailed they jump off the pages and draw you into the story. The action scenes are so vivid. The twists and turns are amazing, with a death I didn't expect.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
