SHAMELESS: This is spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ Henley & Lucas. I'll try and make this as spoiler free as I possibly can.

Henley Brooks is a struggling eighteen year old student attending Shamus Thornton College trying to keep her head above water and keep up with her work load doesn’t leave much time for fun.

4.5 stars!

Shameless is my first book by Teresa Mummert and I am really glad I discovered her work.
My next assignment is to read more of her works because she is one hell of a writer.
This is book one in the series, but you can read it a standalone.
There is no cliffhanger! Big plus from my side, as I hate those...

If you are into angsty, opposites attract romance, you will love this.
Plus, main hero Lucas is British! Hot damn!

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Teresa Mummert.

You guys...this book gave me the book hangover of all hangovers. It is every new adult and romance readers dream come true! Mrs Mummert did an excellent job of capturing the college scene. So much so that it made me miss my college days! The angst, the secrets, the back and kept me glued to my kindle from start to finish.

Henley is a good girl, studious, and hard working. She spends her fre

I finished this book a few days ago but needed some time to write the review. And it wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy this book because I most certainly did. But I needed to figure out how to write this review without giving anything away. And at the same time find the right words to explain how much this book toyed with my emotions. This is one of those books where you are not sure who to trust, who is telling the truth and who is playing the game. How much of it was rea

I was beyond thrilled and truly honored when I was given the option to review Teresa’s newest book, Shameless. For anyone that has not read Teresa Mummert – you are missing out on ALOT!!

Shameless is told in dual POVs – Lucas and Henley. They are both attending, Shamus Thorton College (Shame U). Henley is more the quiet, mousey type – sticking to her school work and not out partying it up and enjoying college life. Lucas moved to the states from London for his own reasons. He’s her total opposit
Ugh... this book is overly dramatic and mysterious for no reason. It takes FOREVER to get through- constant back and forth between the H and h for pettiness. The resolution happens literally on the last couple of pages. No epilogue and lots of "loose ends" (which I am assuming is supposed to lead up to the other books in the series). It seemed like there were lots of plot lines that went no where...

I had a hard time putting this book down to go about my normal life. It called to me like a siren's song, "Read me, read me..." I received this ARC for an honest review and I honestly loved it! I did feel like it was a new direction, or just a step away from what this author normally writes; however, that made it more interesting. The dynamics between the characters were amazing. I felt the push and pull, the yearning, and the heartbreak flowing off the pages! For me the college setting added to ...more

Ugh... College drama to the max. SO MUCH MISCOMMUNICATION. And the heroine was awful; very selfish and immature. This book was so annoying I ended up skimming the last 25%.

I am beyond excited that I got to read Teresa Mummert’s newest novel, ‘Shameless’. I have always liked Teresa’s books and when I saw the blurb for this on when it was first announced, I knew I needed to read this! Teresa has an awesome ability to really suck you into her characters. She is so descriptive and gives them the best personalities. She definitely did not disappoint with all of her characters within this book, especially the mai

I feel like I say this a lot but Wow. I haven't read a Teresa Mummert book in a while but omg.. Seriously there were moments when my heart was pumping or my eyes tearing up or both at the same time. This was an amazing book about a girl that feels broken and a boy that looks like he should be. This is not a wham bam thank you ma'am type book either, meaning there isn't a bunch of sex or much of any physical intimacy. Don't let that stop you though because this book will make you feel so much any ...more

Shameless is the first book i’ve read by Teresa Mummert in a while and I wasn’t disappointed. This story was completely different to anything i’ve ever read.

Lucas and Henley are the total opposite. They both come from opposite worlds which makes it seem like they could never work together. Henley looks like a nerdy librarian meanwhile Lucas looks like a criminal. Even though they don’t seem like they’ll fit together, the saying opposites attract is what comes to play here. Lucas and He

Henley could just tell from her one chance meeting with the college bad boy, he was nothing but a butthole. But then she kept running into him and she could tell he was attracted to her, only relationships was not something she did. Lucas knew he needed Henley, he was so attracted to her he just knew he had to find a way to make her his. Henley and her friend had other plans, they were going to make him feel how he made all the girls around school feel. Only Henley wasn't prepared for the attrac ...more

I decided to kick off the new year with a bit of college romance, I must say as a 40yr old woman I find some books in this genre very immature, which in hindsight they should be as that's the nature of the characters, and this book really did suck me in and especially the hero in the book Lucas as he is British and he was a fantastic character.

Henley I suppose is a typical sophomore student, she is quite a nerdy character so when she hits the rails her immaturity shows and although I did warm t

Mrs. Mummert, aka the Queen of Angst, did it again! In Shameless, she delivered the true essence of college life along with two characters that were undeniably relatable. The angst between them jumped right off the pages and into my heart. I fell in love with not only the hero and heroine and their story, but also their supporting characters. I can't wait to read more in this series. A total must-read! ...more

I give this book 4 stars!

This is the story of Henley and Lucas.

Henley the quiet, student who has more on her plate than a normal college kid should. Her home life is a little crazy so she ends up going to Shame U because it's only an hour away from her mom. Her best friend GiGi tends to pull Henley out of her shell and out of her dorm to head to some college parties.

Lucas, the tattooed bad boy, has a reputation, and not a very good one. He can have whatever girl he wants, whenever he wants. By

"Maybe it would be easier to lock you in a castle and give you a library."
If you're expecting some happy ever after romance, you have the wrong book. I love that this author can take a dark romance and make it - enjoyable. These characters are flawed, majorly. There is no flowers and romance here. It's messy, it's dirty and hard. Yet I couldn't put this down. You forget, while reading, how young the characters are. These people are in college, yet the maturity and wit they possess make this a bo

* 4.5 Shameless Stars *

I am currently binge-watching Gossip Girl, and while reading SHAMELESS by Teresa Mummert I felt like being catapulted into an alternate universe of this world minus the ultra-rich elite, with all the back and forth and intrigue and manipulation and drama happening. Seriously, sometimes I wanted to scream at my Kindle and throw it at the next best wall to beat some sense into the characters to finally get a grip … especially when it came to Henley and Lucas.

Oh my goodness this was my first book by Teresa Mummert and won't be my last. I couldn't put this book down, I had it read in just are few short hours. I loved this book. Even when I wanted to punch Lucas or smack Henley up side the head so she could see what's right in front of her. What started out as playing games ending with so much more then someone being hurt.

Shameless, by Teresa Mummert, is not your typical college romance story. The story is captivating and it is full of drama, angst, suspense and I was up reading well into the night! The characters are complex and written so well that I felt a part of the story. The drama was off the charts and I continued to guess the character’s actions and motives throughout the book.

Shameless is a sexy steamy college romance. I would give this book a 4 stars and recommend to others. I have read multiple books by this author and each book no matter the genre or content completely catches my attention from the beginning and flipping pages quickly so I can see how it all ends.

A game of lies .. One to teach a lesson.. But will it all fall apart when the lies catch up to both Henley and Lucas??

Opposites attract thats for certain.. Can they keep it simple or will it all become

This is my first book by the author, and I really liked it. It's the first in a new series, so I'm excited to see what comes next.

In this book, there were so many poor choices made by the main characters and side characters that I kept reading to see how it would play out. It reminded me of Shakespeare where you see things happening and you cringe and yell at the characters but it does no good. Unlike Shakespeare, though, there is no grand tragedy and we get our HEA.

“What’s your name?” he asked, a boyish grin creeping across his face.
“Henley Brooks,” I murmured, tucking my hair behind my ear.
“My name's Lucas.”
“I know,” I replied, regretting the words as soon as they left my mouth. His grin grew larger as he ran his fingers through his dark hair.
“No wonder you look so scared.”
